"Oh, secret passages can be anywhere..." Gaer concedes "It depends on whether we think it's worth the 'risk' of a quick swim to find them!"
He then scans the western area of the room: "We can get there from that side with just a jump... it's not a great distance" and, to prove it, despite splashing water around due to the sudden movement, he jumps in that direction, effectively landing in the new area in shallow water.
The tiefling ranger begins to examine the ruined beds and walls...
Gaer spends some time examining the meager remains of the beds, tapping the walls to see if any spots seem hollower than others, and scanning the area for anything that stands out as unusual...
...but eventually he looks up at Roxana and the other party members still in the doorway and admits: "There's nothing of interest here, I think. So? Shall we swim to the other side of the room and search there, too? Or should we have Geados ferry us to the northern room?"
Gaer easily jumps back to the threshold and is ferried north by Geados.
The tiefling ranger awaits anyone who wants to enter with him, then enters the new room, which is accessed through a solid wooden door reinforced with iron. Fortunately, said door is wide open! Roxana is next.
The room measures 10' x 20' and its walls are almost entirely occupied by racks of weapons (in detail: 10 Halberds, 23 Javelins and 7 Battleaxes). The weapons show signs of aging (dust, traces of rust...) but are still in good condition and perfectly usable.
Mival, from outside, eagerly also enters, curious to explore.
[[ OOC: If anyone wants to join, post and let them know... otherwise, since there are so many of you and you could crowd the space, I'll assume that anyone who doesn't post anything will wait outside. ]]
"The weapons look decent, but not likely magical," Roxana murmurs to Gaer as she looks about. "Maybe look around for any hidden exits here? And I suppose we could give all the weapons a second look just in case." She focuses on checking walls and floor for any signs of anything hidden. (Perception: 22)
No one else is interested in the room with the weapons and the trio of heroes who entered it begin to search.
But before the operation is completed, a spider of imposing dimensions suddenly appears in the middle of the room, surprising everyone and immediately trying to bite...
...to bite Gaer! And indeed the fangs catch the tiefling ranger completely unprepared - fortunately the leather armor avoids limits the penetration and the adventurer's hardened physique resists most of the effects of the inoculated poison.
"And where did this come from!?" Gaer growls, unsheathing his magical silver blade.
Time to roll for initiative... (even those who are not in the room, because the sounds of battle can be heard anyway...)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Popup Spider's Initiative is 22 so whoever beats that one can act for Round 1! I for example take Mival's Turn. For simplicity's sake, let's assume that Geados has positioned the boat so that everyone can easily pass from south to north - so the next person to act, if he wants, can easily reach the threshold of the north room and go melee.
Round 1
Mival demonstrates lightning-fast reflexes: Popup Spider's fangs have just torn Gaer's flesh, and the Doppelganger immediately unleashes a quick and powerful Slam towards the monster's bottom!

If Roxana comes and searches as well, Gaer gives her Advantage.
Else, if he is checking alone, his roll is: 11

"I would suggest we just look to the north," Roxana says. She's ready to have Geados ferry them over, once Gaer makes it back over.

I believe Rash sent the Unseen Warrior with Darvin, ordering it to protect him.
So... Unseen Warrior initiative: 8
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Provide feedback!
Oh... just re-read the post, looks like Rash could also act.
