Handing her the warhammer, Edwin notices Karys struggling with the manacles. “Let’s get away from here first, then I can use the hammer I found to break the locks and chains,” he says, following Nacht on the path of his choosing.

In addition, you can find food and fresh water for yourself and up to five other people each day, provided that the land offers berries, small game, water, and so forth.*

Unfortunately, none of you are very familiar with this area, so you're not very sure where each tunnel leads from here. However, some of your fellow escapees speak up.
Sloobludop is the closest town the kuo-toa says. I would return to my people, that I might teach them the ways of peace and enlightenment. I can guide us there once we are closer...it is to the north. Once there, I am sure my people can provide you a boat to navigate the Darklake.
Blingdenstone is to the north as well...he gets us to the Darklake, I can get us to Blingdenstone, home of theSvirfneblen Jimjar chimes in, looking. a little wistful. The other gnomes don't say anything, just cross their arms, watching.
We should go to GracklstughBuppido says. We can upgrade our equipment there, and be back amongst my people. I can get us there from the Darklake as well.
Please...please can you take me home? Stool's tiny voice fills your minds. My people will be grateful to you....they will offer aid and shelter. My sovereign...he is wise in the hidden ways of the Underdark. He will be able to get you to wherever you want to go.
At this, the drow finally speaks as well. The fish-man...he is correct. Sloobludop is the closest, and any of these other places are much closer via the Darklake. But I can guide us to any place you would like to go...though taking the myconid back to Neverlight Grove would be a worthy use of our time.

(You may decide where you would like to go. You will also need to decide two marching orders, single file and two abreast. Once you decide on which way to go, you will need to decide on your travel pace. You can take a Fast, Slow, or Normal pace. A fast pace will get you where you're wanting to go much quicker, but you won't be able to forage and will take a -5 penalty to passive perception. A slow pace will allow you to use stealth and improve your foraging chances, but will increase your travel time.
Keep in mind there are merciless drow you just escaped from that probably won't take too kindly to this.)

Badly injured, Edwin nods at the mention of the first destination. He suggests, “Let us move at a balanced pace for now until we can put some distance between us and our former prison. Then I will break these manacles off us and we can hopefully rest a bit.”
Edwin offers to go last in the marching order, planning to watch their back trail and give warning if they are attacked from behind.

Dagna nods. "Fishplace first, and a balanced pace makes sense." She will try to stay at the middle of the party in case they are attacked from the back or front.
"Sounds good to me," Karys shrugs. "Anywhere is better than this."
Karys will go first in the marching order or possibly behind Nacht if it is scouting in stealth. When two-abreast, Karys will still stay at the front with whoever else wants to be in the front with her.
Everyone falls into line, and you set out through the northern passage. Travel is arduous- the terrain is never level, the passageways twist and turn, and go from being just wide enough to squeeze through to being open enough to fit everyone in a line. There's no rhyme or reason to these passages, it seems.
Different types of fungus grows here and there, some luminescent enough to light up the area. You don't, however, come across any creatures, and are able to travel in relative peace. Finally, after walking for miles, everyone is too tired to go any further. It's time to stop and rest.

Edwin:
”Sound carries a long way in tunnels. Let’s find a place with an opening we can block off or that otherwise has loud noise (like a waterfall) to mask the sound of the hammer strikes needed to get these manacles off. Then we can move on a bit and find a place to rest different than where we made the noise,” suggests Edwin.

Dagna looks around and sees that most of the fungi around are torchstalks, which can be lit and carried as torches. They'll burn for about a day, but also have a small chance of exploding when lit. She also sees a single barrelstalk, which she knows can be tapped for fresh water as well as collected for food.
