The next morning, she enters the map room and places the musical box on the table, clasping a golden key with a womans head on it. She gestures at you all to gather around.
The musical box opens and the small golden dragon inside says:
"Greetings, operatives. Vasil Talistrome, a sage who works with the Golden Vault, has reported the theft of The Celestial Codex. This book contains rituals that, in the wrong hands, could be used to summon dangerous extraplanar entities. The book was stolen by a nobleman named Markos Delphi, who might be under the influence of some profane entity. Four adventurers hired to retrieve the book from Delphi Mansion have disappeared without a trace. We have good reason to believe they're dead. This quest, should you choose to undertake it, requires you to travel to Delphi Mansion and retrieve The Celestial Codex. May you fare better than the last group. Good luck, operatives."
The young dark-haired lady would listen attentively to the briefing from the musical box, quite used to this procedure now. She grows a bit concerned as there is mention of deaths and hopes the stakes in this affair wouldn't be too high for her and her dear accomplices. At the same time a part of her longed for something of a greater challenge now. Perhaps this Delphi mansion would give her the excitement she longed for.
"Do we know anything about that other group?"She asks no one in particular."And I assume proper transportation to this masion can be arranged? Perhaps if we found out more about this Markos Delphi we can come up with a good story on why we are there, but considering what we have been sent there to retriveve I can only assume we will be facing otherworldly creatures there that might not be easily decieved." She says calmly, tapping a slender finger against her cheek.
The bard leans forward as the little dragon’s voice fades, his golden eyes glinting with something sharper than his usual mischief. A low chuckle escapes him, smooth and easy, though his tail betrays a flicker of restless energy behind his chair.
“Well now…that does sound like a step up from our previous jobs, doesn’t it? Our mysterious Vault masters certainly know how to keep their humble servants entertained.” He gives a wry grin, brushing an imaginary speck of dust from the fine sleeve of his coat.
“But nobles?” He spreads his hands with theatrical flourish. “Ah, nobles are my bread and wine. I was born to play their halls and whisper among their shadows. And as luck would have it, I’ve been thinking it’s high time I get more in touch with my extraplanar roots.” His tone lingers on the word with a purr, his tail curling as though to emphasize the point. "Perhaps I can convince this fellow we have similar interests."He glances at Delilah with a slightly teasing expression. "Don't you worry, dear. My deception will be far from easy for any creature to see through."

Exa leant forward, listening intently to the music box with her pointed ears turned toward it. Her feline eyes inched wider and wider as the job was laid out for them. She even let out a quiet whistle when she heard of the other team's apparent demise.
"Who was this other group?"she asks.
"What was their plan? Let's not fall into the same trap..."
Bronnryn watches carefully as the High Cleric places the box on the table. She then listens with surprise as the golden dragon explains their next mission. In her mind she tries to place this Delphi Mansion. At the end the others jump in with many of the same questions she had. But she does look to Althea and asks, "Is there any specific deadline for completing this mission? Obviously with a dangerous artifact potentially in the wrong hands, we don't want it to wait too long. But this seems the sort of situation we could benefit from time to study our targets."
We know something about this from Vasil, and the druid in Elra's party. She sent a messenger hawk, and it was likely the last thing she ever did.
Markos incapacitated Vasil and stole The Celestial Codex from the sage's library. In addition to containing lore about stars and the planes of existence, the book describes rituals that can be used to summon extraplanar entities. Krokulmar needs Markos to perform one of these rituals to bind a fragment of Krokulmar to the Material Plane.
Without any knowledge of the profane entity influencing Markos, Vasil Talistrome hired a warrior named Elra Lionheart to retrieve The Celestial Codex. Elra and three other adventurers traveled to Markos's mansion, where they witnessed a number of peculiar magical effects caused by Krokulmar's growing influence. One by one, they fell prey to the mansion's sinister occupants.
I suggest a coach ride to the local town, Copperton, then walk if necesary to the mansion on the outskirts.
The pay is 250GP, but keep an eye open for magical objects and gems in the mansion.
Any questions that I can answer?
