Quentin doesn't mind the opposition? You're as near as I can let you come, only Quentin can open the case without the enchantment killing him. I'd say Quentin will be happy when he awards it. It's a great trophy.
You see arcane writing flowing up and down the pedestal that the statue rests on, it is a sullen shade of dark red.
Karlton looked carefully at the statue, it is a worthy prize for the Tournament
The waitress flushes at the wink from Mavilius, and smiles back. She carefully pulls her shoes back on. I'm waiting to put together enough for the Spa and Baths, some of the other ladies are doing the same, it will be like a party. Perhaps you could come and join us?
I've been to the circus, the display that they put on is magnificent, even if the family don't socialise with us. They even bring their own food in and eat at the Dog and Duck at dinner time.
What about you, did they talk to you or haven't you tried yet?
"Oh, I don't think Mr. Karlton will have any Casinos close enough to be a competition to the Afterlife."The alluring white-haired tiefling says with a charming smile, seeing no need to go closer but commiting the arcane writing to memory to have it analyzed later. Perhaps they would have to convince Quentin to collect the statuette for them after all. "Indeed, do you wish that you were part of it to have the chance to walk away with that?" She asks her guest with curious glance.
"A party, you say? Of course, I'd love to attend. It's such a a joy to make new friends,"the bard remarks cheerily, always happy to accept attention, "Hm, they do sound like shy types. I heard the circus is a family business and want to ask if they wouldn't mind me joining a performance, but I haven't run into any of them yet."
Karlton seems enthralled by the statue, this trophy truly entices people to try to win it. I think that starting a Casino would take a fair amount of money to start up. I intend to cut down on the transport and buy one of the warehouses in the Merchant district to convert into the woodland realm by illusion.
I believe that Mavilius can cast sleep also, as can I. Perhaps Lilith too.
We should use the potion on the guards in the security office, and use a spell on Quentin before tying him up. Then one of us can take his master pass card and the control rod and disguise themself as Quentin.
"Oh, a woodland realm, sounds like a promising idea, you sound like a real entrepreneur there, I'm sure you will have great success, perhaps I will come visit once I grow tired of this place." The alluring white-haired tiefling says quietly as she moves on with her guest. "As you might imagine I have no great wealth myself but if you find yourself in need of investors I just might be able to help you out. Now, what do you want to see next, or should we just take the full tour?"
How about something to eat? I hear that the noodles are good. I've looked around most of the Casino including the Spa and Baths by myself, perhaps you should suggest something in Avernus after lunch, I don't want to get you into trouble.
The bard gives a chuckle. "Ah, no need for concern. I have a way with animals."The doss lute really is coming in handy. "Hm, I have 9 silver chips so far. I suppose they're worth 1 silver each?" 'Honest' work really is a chore; he can't imagine an entire life spent slaving away for so little.
"As long as we have enough potion and spells to go around," she agrees with a nod. Magic is not her strong suit so she is unsure how it will all shake out.
"I will also look for an escape route. No doubt once the theft is discovered, they will have the exits blocked and likely the barges stopped."
I'll meet you back at the common room in the Dog and Duck. I think it's time for everyone to suggest how we are going to pull this off. I think we have enough information.
An escape route would be good but I don't think we'll use it. Hopefully.
"You're such a gentleman, but I'm sure I can manage to get myself out of trouble if needed. But yes, let's visit the restaurant." The alluring white-haired tiefling says with a charming smile and takes her guest there.
Mavilius found his way to the staging area in the employees only zone. He could hear the animals behind the door, and two people talking. He doesn't understand the language. (passive perception and character sheet)
What do you want? answers a surly voice in common, then a torrent of language that Mavilius couldn't follow. The door opened an inch, and a pair of dark eyes stared at him .
He gives his best charming smile despite the less than warm welcome, growing all the more curious due to the unfamiliar language. "I am Mavilius, the newly hired bard of Nessus," he introduces with a slight bow, "I've heard only impressive things about your circus, so I have a...business proposal I'd like to discuss with you, as a fellow performer. Would it be alright if I come inside?"
Father,...Sihon is not here he is in the ring with Emrys the lion. Come back later. How important is this? The cirque is performing at the moment, go along to the viewing area until we are finished. The door slammed shut.

"Hmm," the tabaxi considers the idea.
"Is there enough of it to go around for everyone? We were going to use the option for Quentin while someone takes on his disguise."

The waitress sighs, the only way to talk to them is in their backroom. Don't expect them to be friendly though and be wary of the animals.
It will take me a good few days worth of tips to go to the spa and baths. We're all getting generous tips though. How about you?

Yes those chips are silver weight, just go to the cashier to get your coins back. She smiled at Mavilius.
