As you wander through the busy marketplace, taking special care to avoid bumping into anyone--especially children potentially being used as decoys for pickpockets--you notice a very interesting shield. It's black, seemingly made from many different types of stone--pehaps onyx or agate?--fit together in a weird almost cog-work style of assemblance that reminds you of the surface of a desert starved too long of water. It's in an armory shop behind the counter with some sort of tags (talisman) on it.

Misty step - (this isn't related to the scroll but you can gain increased effects when casted ritual style. 30 seconds, takes multiple casters but can take up to 6 people 200ft instantly to a point within sight with each additional caster after two reducing time by 10 seconds.) 12 gp

Detect magic - 7 gp. can lead the party to ley nodes in addition to normal effects. (the abyss doesn't have ley lines but rather nodes that connect through the layers above and below. can be used to make ritual spells more potent or regain spell slots on a short rest rather than long rest. all casting gains a +3 flat bonus to the spell modifier. and all casters gain advantage on saving throws against spells while in the center of the ley node.)
Tiny hut(homebrew version) - can be activated without having the spell in your list(NL) or without being a caster(NC). has multiple beds (two) and even a small stove, be careful no harm befalls it because it is a structure that is magically contained within the spell so any upgrades or damage will remain until fixed or removed. 50 gp.
(NL) - non list usage. Can be used without being on spell list.
(NC) - non caster usage. Doesn’t have to be a caster to use.

(I’ll further elaborate in a bit on the stuff I introduced but one final thing Is I reworked detect magic but copied the old list. Detect magic is (NL) and functions like an almost map like scroll that upon using leads a faint trail on the map to sources of magic and also depending on the trail and “potency” of the trail on the map you can detect how strong the magic is.

Was found in the onyx cavern layer by LIE and they came back pretty spooked by what they’d seen in that layer and I may have managed to swindle it off my brother for the promise of shared profits. Name’s Sim, my brother’s Rowet. What we think it does it change forms but we aren’t necessarily the most magically in tune so we can’t really activate it. But when he took a hammer to it the thing’s chunks started shifting and expanded for just long enough to send him flying a bit.” “It might be valuable or outright harmful but I hope you get good use out of it. And also I hope that you get assigned to LIE at one point ‘cause they could use some strong fellows like you.”

I'll take it, that is...if the price is right. I assume that you're going to be reasonable since you don't actually know if this thing will kill me or not."

"Fair enough I guess," Tyst says with a shrug. "Not like I'll be needing gold where we're headed, and just maybe this will help me make it out alive. But if it turns out that this shield kills me I expect a full refund."
