OOC: It didn't show up on mobile. Apologies. I've send a friend on development a note. It never goes anywhere but I know I'm not the only one who has this probably. I know I should double check post #s but I never remember that either!
As the enemy ship draws ever closer another 60ft a booming voice says: "Lost your colors Antoine or are you finally going to stab us in the back," the voice sounds pleasant yet with a menacing undertone as the party can hear faint laughter from at least a dozen men and women from the open water distance between the ships. "Picked up a few new crew as well," the voice adds annoyed. There's a long pause then they call out again. "Speak brother or meet your end in that tub you call a ship," they add finally as the gun ports slowly begin to open on the other vessel four...six in total!
OOC: Anyone replying to this?

"Hold your fire! Antoine is not here, nor are any of his crew. That is the past, let us look to the future. We wish to sail away from these lands, we do not wish to engage in battle with you but you should realise that this ship is far, far from defenseless, we have control of the guns and we command powerful magic which we will use to protect ourselves if you continue with a hostile approach. You may fancy your chances but the risk to both these ships is great, do you really dare fight so far from land, unsupported, against an enemy who can call forth lightning bolts and grave storms you may wish to sail on." Hrain steps forward, drawing his sword which bursts into radiant light. "I call forth the power of Sune, and I will strike down any who attempt to board us. You have been warned and you should know that we are supremely capable of delivering on my words. Fire once more and we will not hesitate to use our powers to their full, and a watery grave will be the only prize you claim for yourselves."

A hail of laughter comes from the pirate ship still approaching at an angle to show the least amount off hull possible.
"He thinks his Goddess is the only one giving boons to the faithful today, and that magic isn't something us unworthy sea dogs can manage" the voice says with venom in their tone. "You've taken my brother's ship but what you failed tp realize is it's actualy mine. He's an errand boy really but I see my faith in family is ill placed," the voice replies. "I'll tell you what. If my nriter's died you save me the trouble of doing it myself! For that service I'll give you the life boats enough for your crew and the supplies you need to get ashore. You row hard Dison is a day south east but the ship will be mine. That's my one and only offer. Go now or die on its decks because I'll sink it or die trying before I let you sail away," they add as the sound of chanting fills the air and the wind begins to swirl around the deck erratically as if being focused by someone or something from the other ship!

Niska, time to test our worth, are you ready?" Hrain speaks getting louder and more purposeful with each word. "Fight now, they will offer us no mercy, extend them none. The gnome dashes off below to assist with the cannons.

Niska considers the options the voice gave and Hrain swears he sees a shadowy cloak figure out of rhe corner of his eye near her.
"They offered us safe passage. Why wouldn't we take it," Niska says not willing to fight if it means the children's lives will be ended too if given the option to abandon ship with means to get to shore. "Captain the Traveler says your Goddess has made you a fool if you can't see the odds are stacked against you. There's five of us and a half dozen children below. Do you really think an assault is wise? I thought so given NO option to leave peacefully. Folzi? Nick?" the aasimar implores the others. "Make your religious martyr see sense! He's not just dying in the name of Sune! He's dying and taking us ALL with him," Niska says grimacing at Hrian as she looks over tne ship. "I wish to take your offer of safe passage for my crew," Niska then yells rushing to the side if the ship her voice carrying over the distance as their gun ports seems to be swiveling forward toward the boat. "For myself and six others! I am not with these Sunites," she adds as a mix of laughter and jeers come from the other boat.
"Ah sense! I knew there was someone with sense aboard," the voice calls out. "Life boats and supplies double quick then. As for the others. Any moves otherwise will be fired upon," the vioce warns.
"I am leaving," the aasimar says leaving the party on deck abandoning the wheel and going below.
OOC: I realize now that ALL the party might not want a show down possible TPK assault 10+ crew members and cannon. You can now discuss this but as for Niska and the kids they're leaving. If you do then I'll narrate their exit and y'all can roll initiative!
"Do you think you can defend yourself from them once you are in a lifeboat - these men have made a name for themselves as pirates known for their lack of mercy. Good luck, I hope the Traveller is extremely powerful, I think he will need to be, unless of course you are just planning on letting us be your shield as you flee." the disdain in Hrain's voice is clear." I would not have harm come to the children, but giving up the weapons and position to a gang of slavers is madness."

Folzi turns to Hrain. "Get everyone out of here and be quick about it. I will leave them with a little surprise when they bring the other boat alongside to take it over." He peaks over the rail to look at the other boat. "Hurry before they have time to swing around."
The gnome dashes off down to the gun deck. "Pat! Can you help me open up these powder kegs before you all high tail it out of here? Let's give these bastards a going away present!"
(Time for covert ops!!! Folzi wants to blow up a boat.)
Lyras head spins around at the sound of Folzis voice."So, not firing right now, huh? Are we really considering to take them up on that offer?" Removing the hand that was just about to fire the cannon, she shuffles over to the stack of cannon balls, trying to prepare the next three with a little infusion of magic, in case the fight becomes a necessity.
Lyra will still be cautious and continue with the Fire Bolt for the three pieces of ammunition.
Father Pat not having heard any of the conversation that Hrain, Niska and the others have had turns to Folzi and says "what's going on? Why are we abandoning ship?"
Warnick Baerglenack looks over his shoulder at the angelic leader, jaw agape and eyes wide. He stomps back towards the wheel, staring up at Niska and hissing, "Five minutes ago, you wanted us to attack! Now you stop the ship right in front of them and throw these kids in lifeboats... What is the slaver going to do when he sees you lead his brother's crop of slaves away? I was one spell away from dominating the mind of their captain... We could have ordered THEM onto their boats and taken both ships into port. You could have sold one or both and had wealth to care for these kids!"The gnome shoves the wand into his waistband and tosses down his pinch of dust with disgust."
