Folzi finds a intricately carved door. It's not trapped but you do find a pretty serious lock! It seems a series of runes as well as a masterwork lock itself. The runes are oddly in Dwarvish! You're not sure if it's a maker's mark for the construction or just a Dwarvish enchantment made to bolster the door's defenses! The door itself is about 8ft tall and 5ft wide, the width of the staircase landing and we'll above the party's heads. You all quickly realize it's pretty much impregnable without solving the puzzle and the key...

Stronger than steel, And older than time; They are more patient than death and shall stand even when the stars have ceased to shine. Their strength is embedded in roots buried deep Where the sands and frosts of ages can never hope to touch or reach?

"Roots buried deep? Doesn't sound very dwarven to my ears, wait could it be.." Hrain says "Mountains" in the dwarven language and pauses hoping for a reaction.

The spectral hand moves forward grasping the latch with a minimal amount of pressure the latch moves then thunks against something inside the door blocking it from opening. The door's enchantment 'it's alarm' has been deactivated but it's still locked.

Folzi grunts with disappointment and then turns back to Hrian. "Any idea where the key might be stashed? I don't suppose your tower key would work here?" He wanders back towards the door to take a look at the keyhole, trying to discern if they are looking for a key of the typical fashion or something more out of the ordinary.
Lebenha leans on her quarterstaff. Out of ideas and feeling a little bit useless at the moment. She decides to keep herself out of the way of those who seem to know what they are doing.
Folzi finds a large keyhole but Hrian's key is diminutive in comparison!
Sighing loudly, Carrigan speaks up from her place behind Thomas as she moved forward on the steps.
"Call it a gift," Carrigan replies handing over a soft leatherbound case. "I believe you'll make better use of these," she added to Folzi handing him the case with a wink.

"Hmmm... Well, that's quite a gift."Looking a bit embarrassed for some reason, he takes the case and unrolls in on the floor, and pulls a couple of the tools from it. Squinting one eye and with tongue sticking out to the side, he begins to pick the lock.
Thieve's tools: 16

AA, How do you handle guidance? As this is PbP, would we be allowed to "steal" one from Thomas, provided he doesn't have it going on someone else?
Folzi opens the door with an echoing thunk as the rollers move out of the way and the iron lock slid back allowing the door to open.
OOC: "Steal" as in giving it to yourself without him making the choice to give it to you or not? I'm going to say no. It's only if Thomas wants to give you his guidance which you did not need anyhow!!

Folzi smiles when he feels the tumblers fall into place. "Ah... I still got it,"he mumbles to himself. He slowly opens the door and peaks his head through to see if there are any threats nearby.
Folzi can't see any movement ahead of him. It's a storage room filled with random things. There were casks, stacks of chairs, and frames for beds. There were unopened crates and...were those several stone sarcophagi! It seemed the locked door was blocked by something stacked in front of it as if the door itself was forgotten! Folzi cannot push it open alone!

"Dwarves are certainly known to hold a grudge...," Folzi chuckles to himself, "... but they also take oaths seriously."
I presume Thomas or Hrain has shared this with the group.
The runes on the door illuminate and the door seems to shimmer from top to bottom but it does not spring open.
