With his first glimpse of freedom in many decades, Folzi saunters out the open portcullis. "Later ********!"With a flip of his wrist a mage hand appears near the crank for the portcullis, giving the middle finger to the incoming casters. Once the gnome is out the gate the hand begins wrapping its fingers nervous atop the crank. Folzi takes up a position just outside the gate to surprise any casters that should make it through.
"You can plug up that gate with something if we can't get that portcullis down, right Nicknack?"
"I can web it up, or I can throw a weather effect like what you see there... that looks a lot like what the Zook taught me, really. But then Father Pat will be back to thumping along like a dying nag."

OOC: I think most everyone is outside the gate, or will be by the time your turn comes, so I don't think you will need to hold an action. Also, you can't use a bonus action as part of a held action... I believe? DM?
OOC: Since Lyra didn't declare an action in post #1401, I think the best chance is to Ready the Catapult spell there, and then bamph out on her turn in the upcoming round.

Once the portcullis was opened, Haldur follows Father Pat's lead and moves quickly out of the gatehouse and toward the white expanse of the Wastes. The sight of such purely barren nothingness is almost jarring to the young warrior, but he focuses his mind to continue on the task at hand. The mercenary pumps his legs through the snow drifts, and soon crosses the threshold that separates the camp from the unforgiving wasteland surrounding it.
Full 30' of movement used to pass through the gate.
Immediately, Haldur whips around and slings his light crossbow back into his arms. His goal now is to provide some measure of cover for any of his companions still coming through the gate, and to perhaps distract the Casters from interfering with the escape. Though still well beyond his comfortable range of attack, the fighter sights down the length of his weapon and steadies his breathing, looking for the first glimpse of chromatic color to distinguish itself against the white background. The vibrant crimson red first catches his eye again, and the mercenary squeezes his trigger mechanism.
Haldur's impossible shot misses the Red Caster by inches and the Caster advances again striking out at Artemis still burning from the heat metal spell and continuing to hold Artemis suffering yet another 14 of fire damage.
Artemis continues to hold [spell]sleet storm[/spell[ over the other Casters blocking their progression to the party. His concentration of the spell wavering under the stress of his heated parts. CON save 18; save
Green Caster holds his spell of heat metal doing additional damage to Artemis 21 who has to save yet again against the fire damage CON save 20; save
Artemis is starting to look bad.
Group of Casters remain prone unable to get out of the storm!!
* Do not pay attention to them now. Focus, feel the energies that surround you * the web that it waves arounf itself to form the boundaries of the prison that she was beign retained.
*No... * she thinks to herself * I've been imprisioned for years. No more. *
She opens her eyes feeling now the magic that forms the forcecage and she calls forth her own energies, a frozen wind answering her call and disrupting the cage enought for her to pass.
Ufortunately it wasn't enought to break it completely, so the forcecage was still surrounding her two companions that were caught on the spell too, but they were nowhere to be found.
She looks towards the others, so close to the door but beign threaten by the chroma casters. She swears in elvish and starts to run.
There was no time to waste. She runs towards the gate, closing the distance as fast as she can and, while she is running, she waves her hands towards the casters, and the very nature seems to turn agaisnt them, sending hale, snow and strong winds against the red, green and blue casters making them feel the cutting rage of the winter.
Spent 2 Sorcery Points to Quicken a spell and cast Ice Storm as a Bonus action.
Ice Storm: DEX ST 16 or suffer; 27 total damage, half if they save it. Difficult terrain until the end of my next round.
With her action she will dash and move towards the gate for a total of 60 ft closer.
Nicknack hunkers down in the snow near the gate, wand and components at the ready...
Action: Ready Cast a Spell Action (Grease) triggered by any Chroma Casters approaching within 60 ft of his position

"Come on everyone, move!" Now that Lebenha might also manage to reach the group, Lyra focusses on a piece of rubble originating from the garisons lying in ruins nearby. With a little flip of her fingers, the junk begins to levitate and then flies right towards the blue caster.

OOC: I know Folzi, Nicknack, and Halberd are outside. I think Hrian is riding back and forth in and out, but I'm not sure - and I'm not sure where Father Pat is. Leb and Artemis are still Dash-distance+ away from the gates. Lyra is waiting to disable the mechanism and then Thunder Step outside with us once the portcullis crashes down again.
