Eshuvenniel Kazander Ravid,Valor Bard and Acolyte of the Goddess of Luck Caradoc Langham, Halfling Rogue - Lost Magics - Epic of Pre-made Proportions! I'm not looking for heaven or hell... just someone to listen to stories I tell...
(I'm glad we are working out our cuddling tendencies. Anyone else care to share? LOL)
After his watch and while the others are stirring for the morning, Folzi stays out a little to look through the huts more thoroughly for anything else that may be.
Folzi finds scattered over several huts more animal pelts, 3 daggers, a chest, and a large trap. Thw most compelling is a large shield made of an oddly light metal that has a faintly iridescent sheen. Did Folzi go alone?
The party assembles to discuss the trip onward.
OOC: Vy and Grant y'all feel free to add checks or dialog.

OOC: His partner in gnomish awesomeness would not leave him to search alone, unless he just wanted to be left alone :)

The chest is not. It's the size of a coffee table, yes there are coffee tables in DnD, and weighs a good 200+ pounds! Sadly, Pat once again does not find anything during his search alongside the gnome!

(So, with a cantrip, Mage Hand in particular, could I just keep trying to cast it until it works?)
Folzi returns to the longhouse, dragging the shield piled with the other items he managed to find. "This thing looks fancy,"he says to Hrain while kicking the shield with a boot. "So, anyone want to see what we can find in this chest I discovered." He has a big smile on his face. "The thing is bigger than me and Nick put together!"
"It does look fancy, as you say." Hrain picks up the shield trying it on and seeing if he prefers it to his current one. "Good job Folzi, you have a knack for finding useful stuff. I'm curious what's in the chest too, open it up."

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
"Okay. Let's see what we got here." Folzi kneels next to the chest. He begins running his fingers along the edges checking for any signs of traps.
Investigation 21
(Lol. Well I don't need the DM to resolve that one)
"Well it looks clear. Let's have a look inside." He pulls out his tools and tries call forth his magical hand. "I haven't been able to use this because of this damned place."

"Guess I'll just do it the old fashioned way." He begins to attempt picking the lock, first seeing if it is locked in the first place.
OOC: Magic failing is an expent spell just like a failing spell attack. Cantrips can always be re-tried.
Folzi manages not ro find a trap but a lock which he easily handles with finesse! Opening the chest to find a mix of various wooden and stone animal totems, a large gemstone (the size of a softball), and a wooden mask of some sort of tusked animal!
Hrain tbe shield weighs next to nothing! It lacks your lady's crest but it's finely made.
"This seems a fine piece of craftsmanship, I will use it for now. The lady knows I carry her on my heart and still carry her symbol on my person. That reminds me, I must resummon Vihar, his strength may aid us as we travel."
When he gets a chance to spend 10 minutes casting Find Steed to recall Vihar to him.
Folzi holds up the gem with both hands - being that is bigger than on of his fists. "Ooo... This looks like a nice, shiny rock!" He stuffs the totems into his pack and then holds the mask up to his face. "How do I look?"

OR their healing is SO crude that he doesn't recognize anything that seems like healing supplies OR they managed to take all of them.
OOC: It's not a Nat 1 at least! I'll wait for Vy to check in and anyone else to state business before another narrative push!

(Is the chest something Folzi can carry? Perhaps throw everything on the shield and scoot it back to the longhouse?)
