You all start to make your way, single-file back through the town, keeping your distance from the townsfolk, and keeping an eye out for infected individuals.
As the cavern exit comes in to view you see two large Myconids and two awakened Zurkwood trees that look like they've been posted as guards at the exit.
**sorry, they are not guarding against things coming in to the village, they are posted facing towards the village. Watching for people trying to leave... Did you still want to try to walk past?**
“My friend is right, they told us that the festival was not for outsiders. We do not wish to be a hinderence, we told them we would show ourselves out and to the surface.”
**Does this count as a help action or a seperate deception check?**

Lucky also steps forward to attempt to persuade the guards.
"Sovereign Phylo and Basidius have both ordered us to retrieve something important for the celebration and bring it back to the grove. Blocking our path forward is a direct offense towards their orders. Step aside or we will carry out their commands with impunity."
Persuasion check (+7): 23
(the second roll if given advantage by a teammate): 27
The two large Zurkwoods remain blocking the exit tunnel, while the other two step forward. One holds out its hand and releases spores to speak with you all. "Sovereign Phyllo asked us to make sure you visited the Garden of Welcome before you left. It's important all visitors to the Grove are properly welcomed."
You hear another voice in your heads. With Myconoids, its hard to tell where someone is talking from, because all the voices are just heard in your mind, but you hear from somewhere Sovereign Phylo say, "Now now now.. You all aren't leaving already are you?"
Garruk grits his teeth, covertly casting shillelagh on his quarterstaff and responding to both guards and the voice of the sovereign, “Yes, we are leaving. We wish this parting to be peaceful, and that you will let us go willingly. If not, we will still be leaving.”
Rhogar will look to the others and then to the large mushroom men blocking their path. "You will not keep us here against our will.... " Then, glancing back towards his companions he will mutter to himself.. "we will not be made slaves again.." Casting dragon's breath on himself before turning back towards the guards and yelling "MOVE NOW!" Fire erupting from his mouth as he tries to engulf the large mushrooms in flame
12 dex save or take 3d6 damage... half on a save
Casting Time:
1 Bonus Action
Range/Area:
Touch/15ft.
Components:
V, S, M(a hot pepper)
Duration:
1 Minute
Attack/Save:
DEX 12
You touch one willing creature and imbue it with the power to spew magical energy from its mouth, provided it has one. Choose acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison. Until the spell ends, the creature can use an action to exhale energy of the chosen type in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 damage of the chosen type on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Garruk jumps to the side, releasing his held Moonbeam on the Zurkwoods as he rolls away from the fire. The brilliant light comes between the two side-by-side creatures, coating them both it’s radiant light. DC14 Con Save or 14 radiant damage (half on save).
A silvery beam of pale light shines down in a 5-foot- radius, 40-foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range. Until the spell ends, dim light fills the cylinder. When a creature enters the spell's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it is engulfed in ghostly flames that cause searing pain, and it must make a Constitution saving throw. It takes 2d10 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A shapechanger makes its saving throw with disadvantage. If it fails, it also instantly reverts to its original form and can't assume a different form until it leaves the spell's light. On each of your turns after you cast this spell, you can use an action to move the beam up to 60 feet in any direction.
Initiative: 22
**OOC: That escalated quickly. Also, Shaz, since we posted at the same time do you want me to pull this? I was hoping to use my held action from earlier but since we are now in initiative I’m fine with leaving it**

Rhogar will wave as he walks past, trying not to look draw attention to himself or look like he knows too much.

Recwyin stops and looks around and sees Phylo standing near a house about 30 ft away, watching you all leave.
