Rhogar will look to Recwyin. "I would prefer to die in combat as opposed to falling off of a cliff side, but I am willing to take any path that leads towards the slave pens."
Bigsby looks into Rhogar’s eyes in disbelief. Using thaumaturgy to raise his voice (not enough to raise suspicion), flare any torchlight, and slam all chest lids and doors around“Right now it is a moot point. “It is a suicide mission to go back. We either take the long series of bridges completely exposed or we risk climbing through a waterfall and are extremely exposed.... I don’t like the situation we are in just as much as you. Don’t think for a second I will not mourn those lives lost. It’s simple... we go back and we all die. If we escape now we have a chance to do right in this world. Or even come back with appropriate forces. I see the anger of a soldier in your eyes... but sometimes these decisions need to be made. You can put the blame on me if you want, tell yourself I’m a selfish bastard if it makes you feel better. But look at the men around you... do you want to be responsible for their deaths too?” Bigsby puts his hand on Rhogars shoulder in a attempt to comfort him.
We need to pick a path forward not back. Dying nobly and saving no one isn't noble it wastes our lives, our chance to help later, and doesn't help the slaves. I'm not going back, not yet at least. The easy path leads to guards I suggest we try to sneak across the open in plain sight. You look like a guard. Lead us in unlocked chains if we are stealthy we won't be seen if we are seen we may believed to still be prisoners
Rhogar is enraged, his body heaving up and down as he takes large deep breaths, Bigsbys hand rising and falling with each breath. The lines and wrinkles on his face more apparent as it is scrunched and contorted in anger. Sut, still perched on his other shoulder, appears to be feeding off of this rage. The small wisps of smoke that seem to drift from the tips of the owls feathers becoming thick plumes of smoke, his red eyes appearing to ignite and glow. Rhogar is unaware of the changes in Sut, his eyes are fixed on the orb he is gripping in both hands. Staring deep into the swirling gray smoke and embers that swirl around the interior of the sphere, his hands will begin to shake. "you need to promise me.... you need to promise THEM" Rhogar will point to the slave pens, his piercing eyes raising to meet his companions "That we will return and free the others" he will take a short pause before continuing... "If you can agree to this, then I will go with you. I will consider this a strategic retreat as opposed to an act of cowardice"
Jimjar speaks up, "Listen, while I believe we're all better off sticking together, there's no reason we can't part ways here," he gather's up his belongings and makes his way towards the entrance to the barracks. "I'm going back to try to get those folks out, I can't leave 'em there. But anybody that wants out of here... I won't stop you"
**if you guys are really divided on this, I can split us in to two threads?**
***Damn it shaz, way to make this more conflicting lol. The problem for Rhogar is that being a hobgoblin... you follow orders even if you know you will die and cowardice is the worst thing ever. Combine that with the fact that he was a slave and his main goal is to try to pay back the kindness that was shown to him... (when he was bought out of slavery and given a new life), it is SUPER HARD for Rhogar to not want to save the others or die trying***
“You have my word, we will resupply, gather some other men and free the other captives. I just pray you understand things take time and that there is a whole lot worse going on out in the world.” Bigsby is stern but not harsh as he speaks.
Bigsby turns to Jimjar “little one, may the light brighten your path to the solution you seek”
Rhogar, while very reluctant to leave was prepared to do so if everyone else was determined that it was the best course of action. The moment Jimjar speaks up and says he is going back, a smile will quickly spread across his face. "YES! I will come with you Jimjar! Rhogar will walk over and give him a eager handshake and a quick nod. "lead the way my friend!" Rhogar will send Sut flying up into the sky to keep a look out overhead.
Lucky, particularly pleased at the group’s democratically made decision to free the slaves, takes a few steps towards Rhogar’a hulking frame and Jimjar’s much tinier body.
”Well met, my friends. I’ll don my shackles once more in appearance of being a slave and be ready to strike with these poison tipped bolts when the time comes.”
**Quick description of Rhogar, I realized I described Sut pretty well but didn't really describe my character. Rhogar is nearly 6th tall and around 180 pounds. His skin is a crimson red and long black hair tied back in a ponytail. His nose is flat and the tips of his canines hang over his bottom lip. the tips of his ears are pointed and appear nearly as sharp the claws on the tips of his fingers. His muscles are defined but he is more slender than your traditional hobgoblin soldier. Looking at him from behind, you would notice a large number of deep scars running along his back that appear to have been inflicted with a whip or scourge. Another scar that runs around his neck looks to have been caused by a rope or chain secured too tightly for too long.
You all make your best efforts to hide your new equipment, as well as place all your shackles back on unlocked. Bigsby, disguised as a Drow guard leads the group. There are 2 guard towers inside of stalactites that you have to pass before you get to the first bridge.
*I'm going to use your bad stealth checks to say you poorly hid your equipment, and while it wont be seen from afar, would not pass close inspection.*
Bigsby, give me a Performance check with advantage, to act like a guard leading these prisoners back.
You all make it about halfway along the walkway, attempting to look as normal as possible. Until one of the guards in the second stalactite yells out, "Hey, you down there," talking to Bigsby, "Why are you taking them back so early? Where's Jorlan?"

Recwyin is inspired by the display.

Bigsby is relieved at Recwyin’s support and you can see his shoulder relax. “This is a good plan, come I will lead you out.”

If we live we return, I would have it no other way.

We stick together
Rhogar, while very reluctant to leave was prepared to do so if everyone else was determined that it was the best course of action. The moment Jimjar speaks up and says he is going back, a smile will quickly spread across his face. "YES! I will come with you Jimjar! Rhogar will walk over and give him a eager handshake and a quick nod. "lead the way my friend!" Rhogar will send Sut flying up into the sky to keep a look out overhead.
Recwyin will go back for the slaves with the group. Feeling they may still be outmatched he will attempt to sneak by until action is needed.
Stealth 7
He is not confident that it will work and hopes the appearance of a "guard" will at least be enough to get in bow range before pandemonium ensues
Rhogar, seeing Recwin trying to be stealthy will do the same. 21
Lucky, particularly pleased at the group’s democratically made decision to free the slaves, takes a few steps towards Rhogar’a hulking frame and Jimjar’s much tinier body.

Garruk volenteers to do the same, ready to cast Frostbite or Shillelagh at a moment’s notice.

**Question, so do we think that the rest of our gear would be in those Guard towers?**
