Vondal earlier exuberence falters at the question a little, but he's quick to put on a brave face. "Not quite yet. But, I don't expect it to be more than two or three days now before we can take him back to Neverwinter... Though that said, we may have to reconsider not simply creating a Caern for him here. For even with magic perserving the body, it... it is not right to delay too long in returning a brother to the stone. You know?" He said, grinning softly.
He then claps and rubs his hands together. "With that said, I should get going to Mirna's next. If anything should change though, I'll be sure to be back. Until then, may the stone bless your feet, and your days be full of honest toil."With that and bow, Vondal departs at a more somber pace for Mirna's home.

"They wouldn't be in Neverwinter," Gundren says to Adrom, his eyes watching Nif leave. "I left them here and returned to Neverwinter alone to bring more supplies. They were planning to head back to the cave. They wouldn't have any reason to return to Neverwinter." As he says this, Gundren scowls in thought.
Vondal hikes the short distance south to the home pointed out to him. He can see as he approaches a sign hanging on one end of the home declaring that the town woodworker lives here. There is not "shop" that he can tell, so Vondal knocks on the front door. After only a short wait, the door opens and a teenage boy stands there. It is Nars Dendrar. He squints a little at Vondal and then brightens. "Ma!" he yells. "It's one of the Saviors of Phandalin!" Without inviting Vondal in, the boy leaves the door open and hurries back into the house. Vondal can see through the door into a modest living space decorated with all sorts of wooden accents including what he would estimate to be very well-made furniture.
After only enough time for a quick examination from the doorstep, Nars returns to the door with Mirna. Even before seeing the dwarf, she is already smiling. She wiping her hands with a towel. "It is," Mirna says, locking eyes with Vondal. "Please, come in," she says.
Vondal's expression brightens considerably upon seeing Nars return with Mirna. Though at the request, he had to hold up a hand in a halting gesture. "I apologize. Much as I would like to, today is to be a fairly busy one. Perhaps another time?"He asked politely. And while Mirna is perhaps considering his words, he gingerly takes out from the inner pocket of an outer robe a wooden case, looks at a moment, and then with subdued smile offers it up to the woman. "H-Here. I believe, uh.. this belongs to your family. At least according to Mr. Daran. So please, do take it."
If afterwards she asks where Daran might be or anything along those lines, his expression falters a little, before looks between her and Nars meaningful. If the subtly fails in regards having the boy run off to play, Vondal sighs, and with fingers interlaced before him said, "He regretted not being able to do more for the people of Phandalin in their time of need. And so, in part hoped to make up for it a bit... Unfortunately, it was to be his last adventure... We.. My brothers -- not by blood, but by bond -- owe him a great deal. As he had acquitted himself well, and proved a greater hero than most I've seen in my life... And I hope he has found his way safely to his ancestors side."

Mirna, still smiling, looks at the box with no recognition in her eyes. After she opens it, however, her eyes widen, and her jaw drops. "My grandmother's necklace," she almost whispers. Holding the box in one hand, she runs her fingertips along the glittering emeralds. When she looks again at Vondal, her eyes are also shining. "Thank you. I am in your debt." Vondal explains about Daran, and Mirna's joy turns into sadness and understanding. "What a bittersweet morning," she says, rubbing one cheek. "Though we don't officially recognize them as such, Daran was seen as one of Phandalin's founders. He was one of the first to return and bring civilization to this ruin of a mining town." She smiles. "He was always good for a story."
"An informal founder, hm?"Vondal said, tugging at the side of his beard. "Hm.... Perhaps... No. Once our other business seen to and are free, we can see about putting some sort of statue for him and the others in town."He said, half-talking to himself. Then a moment passes before his eyes widen clearly at some thought. "Or perhaps I commission you for such a project? Don't know what the going rate would be for such an endeavor, but... if you are willing and interested?"He asked curiously. "Ah, but I really should get going. A-ah, eh, think about it, yes? Hopefully by then, I will return with a bit of coin to help as well."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Whoops. Meant to post this /waaaay/ earlier.)
(Also forgot to roll re-charge twice now for Stone Speaker Crystal. If allowed, gonna roll for this day and the previous one: 1st day: 7, 2nd day: 6)
Vondal smiled, and following a final bow and usual blessings, took his leave. Now that Daran's final mission was seen to, the only thing left was to meet back at Stonehill Inn. If the others aren't there by he gets there, then he made his first duty to check up on the body and make sure nothing disturbed it since his last visit. Though after that, he could not help but linger a moment moment more, before finally sitting down by Bron. The time wasn't quite right for it, but in dwarvish he spoke of it their journey so far, and how it might not be long before all was made right.
After a while he felt a warmth at his side that -- upon further investigation and drawing out the offending item -- turned out to be the crystal. Confused staring would then turn into surprise upon realize what the item could be used for! In his eagerness he almost activated the latent magic within, only to stop himself. "No... I should wait until the others are here." He murmured to himself.
Thus resolved, he put the crystal away again, before then heading downstair to wait for the others. Though in the meantime, he fully intended to chat up both Toblen and any customers about the goings on around and generally about how their morning's been so far.
Of course if he does see Nif & Adrom there, then... certain things/revelations would be put on hold.
About now Karl comes striding into the room followed by a slightly puffing Nif "right wots this I 'ear about your bothers ain't back yet."As the others explain what they know and don't know "that ain't good at all - we leave first thing tomorrow to find them!" he turns to Gundren and Sildar "where do you reckon we should start lookin' then?"
"An hour it is!" says Adrom "We better go an get some supplies for ourselves. No need to go to a mine with empty stomachs!" he laughs as he moves to acquire some rations.
Gundren says some perfunctory goodbyes to Sildar and follows the other dwarves out of the Townmaster's Hall. Walking north toward Barthen's, the party receives a few more morning greetings from locals. One seems particularly happy to see Gundren, who gives a little heartier greeting in return.
As the dwarves enter the familiar Barthen's Provisions, Barthen himself greets them from between two shelves. Clearly pleased to see the Saviors of Phandalin, when it spots Gundren, he appears relieved. "Gundren!" the man says, hurrying over. "I was getting worried. It's good to see you."
"Good to see you, too," Gundren says to Barthen. The two exchange a few more pleasantries and then the topic turns to the other two Rockseekers. "We're heading to the cave soon to look for them," the dwarf says.
Karl turns to Vondal "Oi young 'un load up with whatever goods you think we'll need and tell Nif to give you a hand if you need one! Oh and make sure you pay the man!"Nif mutters something under his breath about "how come we get to do all the work?" Karl turns to him "I eard that - now get a move on?" Karl turns back to Gundren "tell me about the caves?" As Nif and Vondal move off collecting whatever they think they might need, Karl turns to them "hold up on that for a minute and listen to what Gundren says!" Nif mutters "I wish Uncle 'ould make up his mind."
(@Grant:.. Vondal is still back at the Inn. c.c Unless you guys stopped by there to collect him before continuing on to Barthens? I assume so, but don't want to make any assumptions.)

Adrom frowns.
"Well, that could deserve to take a look and track them. Anyway we can contact them back in Neverwinter? " asks to them the Moradin follower.
