OOC: This is correct. You miss, but you also don't use your Favored by the Gods.
Zander reaches out and attempts to hit the (yellow) orc's chest with an open hand as he standing, but the creature turns to look north, and Zander's hand goes right by the creature. The maneuver, mingled with the fact that he was just roused from unconsciousness, causes Zander to overbalance, and the sorcerer falls forward, landing on his hands and knees (prone ... again).
Karl takes a swing at the (pink) orc. The creature is distracted looking past the dwarf, and Pacifier II crashes down on the creature's shoulder, almost bringing it to its knees. Despite its distraction and subsequent pain, the (pink) orc's eyes widen and look about. Adrom notices the three ghost-like figures move from the fallen form of the (orange) orc to surround the (pink) orc.
The (yellow) orc points at the fallen form of the (red) orc and yells something in the orc tongue. It then runs. (Both Wooby and Nif can make an AoO if they desire as it runs south out of the cavern.)
The (pink) orc responds to the (yellow) orc and also runs. (Karl and Vondal may make an AoO against Pink if they desire. If Nif or Wooby did not make an AoO against Yellow, they also have an opportunity against Pink.)
The orc swings his greatclub at Karl once again. (greatclub attack: 10, damage: 20 bludgeoning damage) The dwarf sidesteps the attack, and the tree trunk-like club slams into the ground with a crash.
OOC2: I'll wait to see if there are AoOs before wrapping up this round.
As the Pink Orc turns to flee Karl yells "just like an Orc to turn and run once it gets interesting, well take that you sneaky bastard!"as he swings Pacifier II at the Pink Orc again (Attack: 18 Damage: 12
OOC: Zander, the rules say an opportunity attack is a melee attack.
As the (pink) orc turns to run, Vondal attempts to slice it up, but misses. However, Karl's aim is better, and he cuts down (squashes?) the orc before it can move five feet.
The (yellow) orc, however, is able to slip by Nif and Zander as they are not equipped to stop it.
Whatever caused the two orcs to want to flee clearly has no effect on the ogre, which is still ready to destroy the party.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
What's he do? 1=attack or 2=heal: 1
Adrom moves around behind the ogre (K7) and swings his warhammer twice at the great beast. (warhammer attack: 15, damage: 11 bludgeoning damage & bonus — due to war priest — warhammer attack: 12, damage: 9 bludgeoning damage) (I forgot to roll at advantage, so here they are again in case I roll a nat20: 78 — and now we roll two more d8s: 11) Adrom calls upon the guidance of Moradin, who delivers in a big way. The weapon slams down on the great beast twice, almost knocking out the creature. It painfully turns toward the cleric, its eyes filled with rage.
Vondal glances back and forth between wounded Ogre, left behind bow, and where the Orc had fled prior to finally shouting back, "Don't let that other one escape!" Though shocked a second after by the sturdiness to his voice, the gold dwarf brushes the surprise off swiftly in favor of stepping into the fray. With axe in both hands once more, he throws his weight into a chop into its side, aiming to cut just deeply enough so his blade wouldn't catch, and keep some momentum to drive a flying knee into the Ogre's gut.
Movement: To J-6.
Action: (Two-Handed)Vonsorm Attack: 17 Damage: 5 non-magical slashing on Ogre.
Vondal steps toward the ogre, dancing over the dead bodies of orcs to do so, and brings his blade down on the creature's back as it turns to look at Adrom. With a roar which is half anguished cry, the ogre falls forward, causing the cleric to take a step back to avoid the creature's face landing on his toes.
OOC: Based on your yell to stop the running orc, I've taken you to J7 with your 35 feet of movement. I4 to J5 (10 feet of movement due to difficult terrain), attack ogre, J5 to K6 (20 feet of movement due to second diagonal movement and difficult terrain), and K6 to J7 (5 feet of movement).
Let's try this: Nif, as the only one who would be able to take down the orc, roll an attack for this round. If you can't take it down with one shot, you'll never catch it because it is faster than ... well, Vondal is faster. But let's start with this attack.
OK, so Nif missed. :( The only one that could catch up would be Vondal. Vondal, do you pursue? Or is the body count high enough to consider this a success?
OK, well, you're 140 feet behind the orc. You are 5 feet faster per round than the orc. That means, on a flat surface with nothing to make you lose the trail, it would take you 28 rounds to catch up. That's almost five minutes, which ... well, I don't know if you'd consider that a long time or not.
Way back in Karl and Nif's session 0, they chased a couple orcs. I think we'll do that for Vondal now. I don't have time to do it tonight, and might not get around to it tomorrow, but should by Saturday night. Vondal, go ahead and roll for me ... 4 groups of 10d20s. We'll see how this goes.

AoO w/ Vonsorm - Attack: 14 Damage: 5 of slashing on Orc(Pink).

Nif can catch up to the orc by dashing (G14).

Crossbow attack: 11; damage: 7 + 3 (enlarged) + 9 (sneak attack) piercing damage
OK, so Nif missed. :( The only one that could catch up would be Vondal. Vondal, do you pursue? Or is the body count high enough to consider this a success?
