Though Vondal had every intention of prodding the interest of the others in speaking with Bron one last time, the news about every intention being set towards leaving for the mines shortly left him visibly conflicted for a moment, before then simply nodding and following after. There would be time upon their return to speak on and settle the matter, or so he quietly concluded enroute to Barthen's shop.
"He, uh.. does have bit of point. Besides, there is quite a bit to collect. And the shop is not so large that we cannot hear cross ways. And if trying to be secretive at this point... this is not best place for it anyhow." VondaI expressed, before looking to Barthen with a sheepish expression. "No offense, if one incidentally made. It is perfect as is for frontier town, yes? No need for added bells and whistles like in larger towns. Very practical and more comfortable this one shop is."He adds, nodding after as if reaffirm his point. Yet for all he said, the gold dwarf did hang back to listen more closely, or until Gundren dismissed them to carry on collecting various things for shopping.
Vondal's Purchases(eventually):
Rations x10 days - 5gp (Payment to be adjusted if purchasing for everyone) Arrows x20 - 1gp Silk Rope x2 - 10gp Chalkx10 - 1gp Cook Utensils - 1gp Grappling Hook - 2gp
All of the mundane stuff is available at Barthen's, so you can add them to your equipment and subtract the appropriate coin. What "spell materials" are you looking for, Adrom?
"What would you like to know?" Gundren begins. "It's quite large. Most of the original cave is now open, but there are quite a few cave-ins. We've opened up a secondary entrance. Quite often, my brothers will sleep in there to get out of the rain. It's very magical. We don't really understand it all, but that's why the orcs attacked. That battle between the races of the Phandelver’s Pact and the orcs is what caused the cave in and loss of the cave so long ago. You have to be careful; there are creatures inside that don't like to be disturbed — stirges and such. You never work in there alone." He looks at Karl as if wondering what else he might want to know.
Vondal looks back to Karl with his own raised eyebrow, if though in confusion. "... Noo? Why would I? But, I've been around plenty of caves and mines before as part of training. Teachers... made sure it was hard to forget said training, to say the least."He grimaced at that. Then his eyes went wide as if struck by some epiphany. "That reminds me. I should get more parchment and ink as well. That way we can map things out as we go." Vondal adds.
Though, if it becomes clear after Karl meant the question more for Gundren then himself, and that for some other reason he'd been looked at questioningly, he'd sheepishly chuckle and comb the bottom portions of his beard.

"Mn! I would grab some, uh, cartographer tools as well, but, eh, that was more my elder sister's expertise than my own." Vondal admits sheepishly, before taking Karl's last cue as permission to really into gathering supplies. "Ah, that reminds me! You wouldn't happen to have any, uh... Holy Water on you, Barthen? Or should I go to the Shrine for that one on way out?"

Adrom will look for some powdered silver and iron, he would like some small iron peebles, rounded smooth pieces of iron in wich he will engrave some runes. this has to worth 25 gp, some other things without real value ( salt, a feather... ) and a couple of things that he doubts it will be avaible but no harm to ask, a couple of platinum rings, each worth 50 gp, and powered ruby.
Barthen plucks from a shelf a vial of holy water and hands it to Vondal. "That'll be 25 gold."
In response to Adrom's unusual request, the human gives a little shake to his head. "I don't carry anything like that here — jewelry and such. I can only suggest you check at the Lionshield Coster. Oh, and Halia might have something. You never know."
"I will. Thanks!" replies the cleric after paying the man.
Adrom heads towards Halia's place trying to obtain the other things he needs. He hasn't too much expectations of finding the jewels here, but he has to try and was enjoying the walk around the village in the morning.
Vondal more than happily takes out the necessary gold alongside the extra coinage for all the other things collected during the shopping list. "Excellent, excellent. Don't know if we'll necessary need it, but with this whole mention of 'creatures' inside, it is best to be prepared for anything." He professes to noone in particular. By the time Vondal is done packing the bag at his back is nearly full to bursting out of the seams. Which in turn seemed to leave him smiling in pride, before then regarding the rest.
"Guess that's it for me. So, I guess Halia's next, and then out of town we go!" He declared, ready to follow after Adrom and the rest. Though when they actually get to the Miner's Exchange, the Gold Dwarf oddly enough chooses to hang outside until the others come out.

Alright, Frandal, let's see how lucky you are. You've arrived at the Miner's Exchange. Roll an investigation check for each item you're inquiring about. Also roll one persuasion check. And be sure to label each investigation check before you roll; no fair assigning the highest rolls to your preferred items afterward.
Pretty lucky! Due to your low persuasion, I was going to have Halia try to rip you off, but after doing some reading, I've decided neither of us needs that headache. Instead, you'll just have to make a decision.
Halia is reading a book as you enter, Adrom. Her posture indicates that the reading is for pleasure and not for business. She looks up as you step inside the Miner's Exchange, and you see her change from an expression of disappointment to a congenial smile. She closes the book and stands up straight, sliding the tome to the side. "Good morning, sir dwarf. Or should I address you as 'savior'?" Her words are clearly mocking, but her tone is light — not cruel. She looks past you as Karl, Nif and Gundren enter. Not greeting the others, she looks back at you. "What can I do for you?" she asks, getting down to business. You explain the items you're looking for. Without looking happy or sad, she plainly replies, "You're in luck. I happen to have the items you need on hand." She looks past you again, her eyes sliding over other three as they wait. "Please excuse me for a second." She disappears through a door, leaving the four of you alone for a minute or so before she returns with a small tray. Indicating the different items, she says, "I have these raw pieces of iron ore. I've been assured they are of good quality. You can have the lot for 25 gold. I happen to have four platinum rings. These two are 60 gold each, and these are 90 gold each." The more expensive pair have small diamond chips arranged in a pattern on both. "I also have some ruby dust. Let me know how much you want, and I'll package it for you. I can sell you up to 150 gold worth."
Well.. I may have been missing the treasure or are we ok?. I mean, if we should have like 500 gp I am short, if we should have like 100 gp then I am fine ;)
Adrom feels clearly uncomfortable with Halia's words, not really knowing what to do with all that savior thing, to the woman's allure who enjoyed a little bit more of torture to the cleric dwarf.
"I.. I think Adrom will be better thank you very much " replies him without catching the joyful tone of Halia.
"That's impressive a fine work of jewelry I must say... Let me see how much money I do have left..."
(@Frandal: DM can handwave this, but you guys never did ask Sildar about the reward gold for finding the castle/rescuing Gundren. Heck, it didn't even come up in passing. Which in total was 500gp flat, and not each)

25 gold for the rocks; 120 gold for the pair of lesser rings, 180 gold for the pair of better rings, or 150 for one of each; and up to 150 gold for ruby dust.
I'll be nice and say you asked and got the reward, so you can each add 100 gold to your equipment.
“I’ll take the rocks they are real good quality. And I’ll give you 25 more gold to call dibs on the other things. I will come back and pay the rest. Thank you!”
