"Well that was rude!" says Adrom rising his hammer to smash down the door. ( on his turn of course)
(@DDP: Assuming nothing's changed there, would you need some type of attack or skill check for breaking down the door? And if so, here's Vondal's turn as well. If any of his attacks would finish the job Adrom started, he'll move by the fastest route possible to the next closest enemy and use the rest of his attacks on them. If its not possible to reach them with his remaining movement, then he'll move as close possible before spending a Ki point on Patient Defense - Dodge.)
Vondal mutters a dwarvish curse as he rushes up beside Adrom to start taking down the door. And with such an end in mind, even he's not above casting aside his bow and bringing both axe and fist to bear in hammering it to pieces. "Hold on, Uncle! We're coming!"
Bonus Action: Fury of the Storm. #1 Unarmed Strike - Attack: 8 Damage: 5 non-magical bludgeoning to the door. #2 Unarmed Strike - Attack: 23 Damage: 3 non-magical bludgeoning to the door.
(@DDP: Assume Vondal moved to E-4 and directed his attacks at the Blue Bugbear. With 35ft of movement at his disposal, the one bugbear patch shouldn't impede him.)

Adrom pushes at the remaining portion of the broken door, forcing it into the room. As he does so, he realizes it is also moving the dead form of the bugbear that had been barring their entry. He makes enough room for him to pass through and into the room and, stepping over the bugbear's body, the cleric approaches the bugbears ushering Karl across the room.
"Hold on, Uncle! We're coming!" Vondal follows Adrom through the broken door and picks out one of the two bugbears lagging behind the others. Like Karl, Vondal is surprised at the size of these bugbears once he is up close and personal; however, he steps up confidently with Vonsorm and engages the (blue) bugbear in melee. He swings the axe and then follows up with a knee thrust and a kick. The weapon attack and the kick land, but the bugbear is able to dodge the knee thrust.
Round 5: Nif, you're up! Karl, you're on deck!
Nif, the door is "open", but not wide open since it's cracked and just sort of pushed in in order to enter. I'd say you would need to be in the square right outside the door to be able to aim into the room.
Sorry for the delay. Work's been crazy, and I have 16 family members in town for a family reunion this week.
Karl, please reread the previous post. I realized after asking you about re-raging that attempting to break a grapple is an attack, so it maintains your rage. However, since you have broken your rage with the advantage your rage afforded you, you can now move or use a bonus action if you want on your turn.

No worries - have fun. Are they from all over the US?

If I'm reading this optimistically you meant to say i broke the grapple. if that is correct then Karl lashes out with his shield at the nearest bugbear - improvised weapon (Attack: 24 Damage: 6) "try this on for size ya great 'airy bugger!"
Yes, I meant grapple, not rage. However, I'm unsure how you're attacking with your shield as a bonus action. From a post I found, it sounds like maybe that was something you could do in earlier versions?

From what I've read I can do it as a second weapon attack but it counts as an improvised weapon and the only damage bonus I get - I think as I'm not skilled in dual weapon fighting - is my rage damage.
OK, I see what you're reading. You can use your shield as an improvised weapon:
As your attack action. You used your attack action to break the grapple.
As your "off-hand" attack when two-weapon fighting with two light weapons ... except that the shield is not a light weapon, so you can't do that. Also, you didn't attack with a weapon as your attack action.
As one of your weapon attacks when you have the dual wielder feat, which you don't have. And even if you did, you still have to use your attack action to use one weapon before you can use your secondary weapon.
So, you can't attack with your shield. So, do you want to move away or stay where you are?
The (blue) and (yellow) bugbears both swing their weapons at Vondal. (Blue Attack: 24 Damage: 17; Yellow Attack: 14 Damage: 12 — I believe both of those hit, but I'm still not 100% sure of the kensei rules) Unprepared for the ferocity of the bugbears' attacks, Vondal tries to dodge, but is unsuccessful. Both morningstars crash down upon him.
Vondal's Reaction: Cast (1st level)Shield on the 2nd attack.
(@DDP: Whoops! Jump the gun! Forgot this character is the ONE character that doesn't have shield. Stuuupid brain of mines.. To answer your question, I'd need to have made an unarmed attack as part of my action in order to get the kinsei bonus.)

The (red) bugbear turns and attempts to hit Nif Adrom. (Attack: 9 Damage: 8) The rogue spins out of the way, and the weapon whistles through the air unimpeded.
The (green) bugbear answers Karl's taunt by attempting to knock his block off. (Attack: 6 Damage: 8) Karl laughs as he uses his axe to deflect the weapon almost effortlessly.
After dodging the (red) bugbear's attack, Adrom swings at it with his own weapon. (Attack: 13 Damage: 6) The bugbear moves just enough to cause the cleric's weapon to barely graze its hide armor.

After nearly losing an arm trying to evade and deflect at once, Vondal barely looked as if he could stay stand, let alone raise Vonsorm again to strike or defend again. Yet as he fought to keep his footing, any thought of retreat -- even by an inch -- flees his mind the moment he spied Adrom and Karl in a quick glance to others. With renewed determination to give his last if need be in defense of his fellows, uttered between breathes a curt, arcane phrase, conjuring silver daggers between his fingers.
The bugbears are hardly given a second to brace themselves before he whips the hand forward, flinging the explosive darts for the face of one foe. By the time the mini light show died down after, Vondal began doing a sort of boxer's shuffle almost in preparedness to better evade any oncoming blows. "I ain't... done... yet.... Now come! Vhit me with your.... best shot!"

Nif moves to the square outside the door, D5, and takes aim at the red Bugbear in G4.
crossbow: Attack: 23 Damage: 8
sneak attack: 8
It seems that the splintered door has affected his aim.

LOL
Nif leans against the broken door to steady his aim, and the bugbear he's aiming at hears, turns, and dodges the crossbow bolt.
STR check: 20; Karl's STR check at advantage since he's raging: 24
Karl pushes against the bugbear holding him and breaks the creature's hold.
Karl, you broke your grapple. Do you want to move away or anything else?
Yup

Typed in shield as a weapon in 5e and the read the material. It may not be cannon though?
