The man smiles at your comment Flynn and then says, "Well then come in and learn of the Order then!" The man holds open the door for you all. The noise instantly gets louder as he opens it. You step in to find many men drinking, laughing, and eating. All of them are wearing a form of the tabard just like the man who led you here. All except one, Leosin is sitting at a table next to a big burly man with a beard. They're both watching what looks like a brawl in the back of the room.
"Given a brawl in the back, I fail to see how this establishment is nicer than the one where are at...regardless, it seems like some fun is to be had" Theo looks around to take everything in, especially looking for potential marks and partners.
You all make your way to where Leosin is sitting. Walking though you see men engaged in arm wrestling matches and knife throwing. Theo you sadly, do not see anyone playing card games of any type. Leosin looks over to you all as he notices the other man turns to look at you all. Leosin's expression changes from boredom to a warm smile as he notices Flynn, Wex, and Sevrn approach. "My friends! You've made it, welcome!" His face suddenly turns pale and a distraught expression comes over it. "I don't see Mopham, did something......happen in the caves?"
Leosin looks relieved to hear that Mopham is all right. Shaking your hand in greeting Theo, he lets out a small chuckle at your remark. He then nods at Sevrn. He looks over at the man sitting with him, then says. "This is Ontharr Frume, he leads The Order of the Gauntlet. Ontharr, lets move to somewhere quieter for a bit."Ontharr stands up and smiles at everyone, "Leosin has told me about you all! I'm glad to see you finally made it out this way! Don't mind the men, they're just blowing off some steam with a few friendly competitions!"He motions to a younger boy around the age of 14. Frume’s squire shows you to a private space off the tavern’s common room and closes the door when he leaves. Waiting for you in the room are many pitchers of dark red wine. Leosin and Ontharr take a seat at the table.
Wex takes a seat, and pours himself a glass of wine he will sip. To Leosin, “You are looking better than when we last saw you. When we returned to the camp, they had cleared out, left behind some dragon eggs... which we dealt with.” He does not glance at Theo.
”They left their half-dragon hero there, with a handful of cultists, but there was no sign of the woman in purple. And, of course, no sign of the treasure they’ve been accumulating.”
Theo takes a seat and has a bit of wine to drink, and listens to the conversation. He will scan Leosin and Ontharr for any relevant details - scars, mannerisms, holy symbols, other markings, concealed weapons etc.
Leosin nods, taking in the information. "Thank you, once I felt up to it I left immediately to come here. I had to tell Ontharr and some others all that I learned and tell them about you all." Ontharr grabs a glass of wine and takes a long pull off of it, then asks. "Do you know which way they were headed? With as much raiding and pillaging they've done, they had to have used carts or something to haul all that loot off."
Theo- Leosin has a few scars from his ordeal with the Cultists, but he's a smaller half-elf with dark hair and a small goatee/mustache. He seems to run his hand through his hair a lot while talking, you do catch a little glimmer on the broach that is holding his cloak together. Casually looking closer to it you notice a symbol, that of a crescent moon with a harp in the middle. Ontharr is a big burly man, he wears a plain blue tabard with the symbol of a Gauntlet on it. You know that he is a member of the "Order of the Gauntlet" but that symbol is also that of the God "Torm". Other than heavy drinking, Ontharr looks like a good natured man.
"I believe they took the road north but not 100 percent sure, they may have stopped in Scornubel, kept going north or turned this way towards the coast
Otharr and Leosin think on this news. "Well then, they must be taking the loot through Baulders Gate."
Ontharr slams back another glass of wine, then smiles a big broad smile at you all. "My friends, we have important business to discuss. At this point, you know almost as much about it as we do, and thanks to you, we know twice as much today as we did a tenday ago. Something rotten is afoot. We have no formal organization to oppose these rascals — not yet anyway. We’re working on that. And we need people like you, who know how and when to fight, and how and when to keep their heads down and observe. We can’t promise you anything except long days filled with danger and stress — but what could be better than that, eh?”
Leosin smirks and says, "What my friend here is saying, is we'd like you all to tale the loot. We need to find out exactly where it is going and what they are doing with it all. What is the cult's end game with all this?"
Ontharr nods and adds, "Aye, that, and to stop said 'end game'".

Wex makes his way back to Leosin’s table.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).
Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Flynn follows his eyes taking everything in

Sevrn remains attentive as he follows the group to Leosin's table.

"No, the big man had other business to attend to," Wex tells him. "Meet Theo, but check your purse when he leaves."

Theo introduces himself politely to Leosin as a merchant and rare good dealer.
The retorts to Wex:
"Don't make any plans relying on Wex's intelligence or insight. They''ll be doomed to fail."
"Enough." Sevrn nods to Leosin and leans in close enough not to have to yell. "Is there somewhere quieter we can get caught up?"

OOC > Wex would know the lay of the land, as a former mercenary plying the "trade" for a while, but as his player, I have no clue...
