As the tentacle bursts out the water Nelburn sets himself for a fight. "No rest fer the ugly lads!" He says to the others and then with a quick glance and a wink at Tobias he adds: "Or the beautiful!"
"Gaah! I knew we should have made friends with the flumps instead of messing with this pool!" Flint would say staggering backwards away from the water.

The tentacle with draws and the beast becomes the water disappearing, all attacks when the creature isn't visible are at a disavantage. It's 10ft away from Tobias so graduated from the pool into the cavern, each party member is 5ft back from the one in front per y'alls established marching order. The beast can not be seen by Karnic's lantern!
“Holy Crap!” Nam yells out. He puts out his hand in the direction the creature was and as he chants some secret words 4 darts appear from mid-air heading straight for it. (Magic missile lvl 2)

Nam's magic missiles scream out hitting the surface that seems to thrash having much more of an impact than Flint's expertly shot bolts!
The watery beast's tentacle emerges again grasping and bludgeoning at Nam Attack: 20 Damage: 14; hit Nam will be grappled able to escape DEX save DC13.
If everyone in the party isn't within 30 feet of Karnic, he will move to a safe spot where the party is in 30 feet of him. Then he will say as he sprinkles holy water towards each party member and himself, "Lliira, bless our little troop of adventurers so that our strikes are true against our foes." (Casting Bless at 3rd level. Everyone in the party can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.)

Having watched Flint's well placed shots skip off the water an idea popped into the dwarfs head. Stepping over to Flint he placed a hand on his shoulder and cast a quick Dragon's breath spell on Flint. "Try this instead laddy" He adds with a wink to Flint. A moment later Flint can feel a strange sensation around the back of his throat as some part of him is affected by the transmutation magic, and a growing urge to spit seems to accompany the change also.
Stepping to the right a single pace he then lifts his hand a launches a fire bolt at the beast himself.
Movement: Up to Flint, then one space away
Bonus Action: Dragon's breath (level 2) on Flint, with lightning selected as the damage type and DC 14
Action: fire bolt at the tentacle beast - Attack: 17 Damage: 17 fire damage

"Thank you," Tobias says to Karnic as the cleric's blessing comes over him to guide his strikes. He then slides around to allow others to get within melee and, seeing Flint's arrows have a reduced effect, he imbues his weapon with a magical blessing. His great axe begins to glow and the paladin strikes two times at the tentacle.
Flint would turn and smile to the dwarf as lightning jumps between his teeth "Thanks buddy" the man would say before moving closer to the edge of the water and unleashing a blast of electrical energy and lightning from his mouth into the pool of water directed at the creature.
Dex 14 or take 17 lightning damage, or half that on a success. Not sure if the target has disadvantage being in water or if the attack is at advantage or anything...
(Also, I like to think that Flint sounds like he is talking through a synthesizer or something as the electricity sparks and jumps around in his mouth.)

(Casting Cure Wounds at 2nd level: 19 healed to Nam. Karnic gets 4 points of healing from the Blessed Healer domain feature. Bless has 9 rounds left for its effect.)

Moving closer to the waters edge he peers into the murky depths for a second before he gestures at it, casting a shape water spell the water begins to clear somewhat in front of the dwarf.
(Trying to make the water clear so that we can see what we are attacking!)
