The owl then winks out of sight and a moment later Garrett has her reappear at his side. She settles on his shoulder. But in doing so he loses sight of the others ahead of him and he veers off the trail and finds himself lost.
And now we are lost, in the maze that we were already lost in. Wonderful.
He stops and waits hoping to hear something or that the others notice him missing and come back for him.
Realizing he has lost the others, Nam takes a moment to look around using his dark vision then takes out his sword and cast light on it in the hopes that someone will see it as he tries to trace his steps back. “This sucks! I should just burn the jungle down” he tells himself.

Nam casting light can see he's just inches from a pit! He steps back from the edge and looks around. Perception check!
Garrett looks around in the darkness his 15ft of dim light showing nothing but undergrowth and his 15ft of dim the same gnarl of green damp vegetation.
Flint can see Nel, Tobias, and a very distant Nam holding a light sword aloft. Garrett and Karnic are nowhere to be seen!!
Coming up on Flint and Gen Nelburn slows down to a walk and starts moving over to where they are stood and says to Gen without even looking around himself, clearly annoyed with the sudden dart through the jungle. "What are ya doin' lass! Runnin' about like a bleedin' kobold in a kettle while we get zapped by flippin' lights ain't my idea of sensible. You lookin' to get someone killed?"
"We seem to have lost a couple of our party. Why did you have to run off like that?" Tobias says to Gen. "Before we figure out what's going on here, we need to find the other two."
Nam slowly makes his way back the way he came to find the others. “Damn girl, always running off. Going to get us all killed” with a chuckle “ she’s probably a part of this maze” he tells himself.

"They were trying to get our attention but look," Gen then points speaking in a whisper as two of the figures by the fire are holding up a map. "That...I think might be important eh?" The young druid asks looking at the others. "I'm here to find my mother's body," she then reminds everyone. "She died in a sacred grove of trees in a forest not dissimilar to this one but it most decidedly was not a jungle," she adds whipping sweat from her forehead. "If that's a map of the maze...I say we take it," the druid says next tone full of resolve.

As She suggests taking the map Nelburn looks at Gen with an expression that makes it clear he thinks she really is crazy. “Hah, so you are after gettin’ someone killed lass. We’ve already lost half our folks fer yer antics and now your itchin’ for a fight! Me cousin Weebor would bloody love you... How abouts we find our folks first, then we can ask em nicely if we can borrow the map?”
"Yes, before we start touching more things around here, let's go find out friends." Tobias turns and looks back the way they came. "Does anyone remember seeing or hearing anything regarding them?"
