"You are hungry aren't you? Those will help heal you as well if you are injured. Here, have another."
Devin holds another out in an open hand.
"So where are your people at? I know you can't talk, but I am pretty certain you understand me. Are they hurt or gone? You can come with me if you would like if they are gone. Or show me where they are and I can help them."
D.O.R.K had nodded and gone along, but stopped short of entering any more buildings. Instead, she has either be oddly preoccupied checking over Beedo's injuries, or standing vigil just outside the door with Vark. Though if Meiva decides to wander off on her own, she will insist on Vark going with her as an escort. If Gwerk tried to linger with her instead of go inside, D.O.R.K would try to shoo her on inside, stating Gwerk wouldn't learn anything if she didn't stay at least observant of her 'mentor'.

At Devin’s words, the Tessrym flies up onto the bed and paws at the boulder lying on top of the bodies. It then flies over to top of the bookcase and looks down at the various ledgers before flying to the top of Devin's backpack where it perches itself.
As Devin and Jaylen complete the search of the cottage they find a money pouch containing 32 Dragons and 17 Shards. A quick perusal of the ledgers show that they contain various Village records such as: 1) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1484 ‘The Year of the Awakened Sleepers’ Lord Drezlin and Lady Velrosa of the House Nandar exercised their right to land located on the verge of the Ardeep Forest, and the Village of Nightstone was gazetted therein; 2) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1485 ‘The Year of the Iron Dwarf's Vengeance’ the Shield Dwarf Morak was granted a licence by Lord Drezkin to operate an Inn in the Village of Nightstone to be known as ‘The Broken Arrow’; 3) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1485 ‘The Year of the Iron Dwarf's Vengeance’ the families Hulvaarn, Nesper, Osstra and Southwell, were granted by Lord Drezkin farm plots inside the walls of the Village of Nightstone plus the right to farm land outside the village in return for 25 per cent of their produce; 4) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1487 ‘The Year of the Rune Lords Triumphant’ the family Delfryndel was granted the right to operate a mill inside the walls of the Village of Nightstone in return for 10 per cent of their milled flour: 5) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1487, The Year of the Rune Lords Triumphant’ the Tiefling Destiny Agganor was granted the right by Lord Drezkin to provide a midwifery and basic healing service to the residents of the Village of Nightstone and surrounding lands; 6) On Midsummer’s Day in the Year 1488, The Year of Dwarvenkind Reborn, the Halfling Taela Sunmerhawk was granted the right by Lord Drezkin to grow herbs for medicinal purposes and provide a general apothecary service to the residents of the Village of Nightstone and surrounding lands 7) On Greengrass in the Year 1493 ‘The Year of the Purple Dragons’ following the death of Lord Drezkin in battle with the Copper Elves of the Ardeep Forest, the Lady Velrosa of the House Nandar and the Copper Elf ‘Barak of the House Arrowhome’ agree to a perpetual peace under which the House Nandar, and any of their associates from Waterdeep, agree to no longer enter the Forest of Ardeep to explore/plunder the ruins of the ancient Kingdom of Phalorm and the Copper Elves agree to leave the residents of the Village of Nightstone and surrounding lands in peace.
By the time that Devin and Jaylen have quickly perused these documents and returned outside it is 12 noon.
D.O.R.K bows her head for a moment, and then looks over to Blik and Flik. "The ladder might suffice. Closer examination would be necessary to confirm, however." She looks down to the bundle her arms, and though she could not frown, the consternation radiating from her is almost palpable. "Vark. You are to guard them, and act in my stead. Temporarily. I will see to it that Acolyte Beedo is at least temporarily secured, and will rejoin the rest of you shortly." She moves then on back towards the Inn to find a bed.

Jaylen walks toward the bridge to examine it more closely.
As Jaylen examines the bridge, the first thing she notices is that there are no gates on the village side of the bridge, it is simply a gap in the palisade. As she looks up at the Keep she can see that the at the Keep end of the bridge there is a set of double doors that appear closed. Thirty feet from the Village’s palisade a 15 foot section is missing where a boulder has obviously crashed through. At the Village (lower) end of the gap it is about 20 feet above the moat whereas at the Keep (higher) end of the gap it is about 30 feet above the moat.
On D.O.R.K's way back of getting Beedo nice and set-up, she'd stop short looking for Blik and Flik. As soon as they were found she tries to corral them over to the bridge, and examine the distance for herself. Looking back and forth between the gap and ladder before tracing her symbol, looking from Guidance from above.
(@Grant Psst! That means you! Would the ladder be long enough to bridge the gap?)

Devin watched as D carried the goblin Beedo. This was weird, one moment they were killing goblins, then next helping them Strange times.
He approached her.
"How's Beedo? Still unconscious? Give him one of these, it's a Goodberry. Shove it in his mouth if you need to. It will heal him an bit, probably even revive him."
D.O.R.K stares at the berry in length. Then it really clicks, remembering Devin having fed another the miracle berry. "I...I..." She trailed off in thought again. For up to this point, the others had been reluctant about the entourage. And in hindsight, she had been pushing Gwerk on Devin at every opportunity without thinking about it. Pink-eyed, she looks back to Devin. "... I am going to hug you now. Initiating Appreciation--"She doesn't even get through the rest before excitement prompts her to try and lift Devin into an almost too painful hug.
She runs off again to feed Beedo the goodberry. Then, just as soon as him stir to consciousness, she wraps him up in a sudden hug as well.

Waking up from yet another bout of daydreaming, Torunn realises that the group has left, yet again. I can't even stand around for a few seconds, thinking about this and that without being abandoned by this group. he thinks to himself. He decides he should probably go find the group, so he sets of in the direction that hasn't been explored yet, looking for the group.
Toruun sets of in the direction that hasn't been explored yet, looking for the group.

D.O.R.K returns before long Beedo occasionally throwing her weird looks along the way. She in turn doesn't acknowledge them; but, a glance is thrown the goblins way when he runs over to Vark, and starts weakly shaking him by the shoulders. "I think the hugs are gonna kills us well before anything else does!" He says tersely under breath to Vark. To which, Vark snorts and gives a crooked grin back at him. "I'm freak'n serious ova here. 'nd that ain't even the weirdest part! 'cuz I like swearz I saw this real, beefy chick fer a second there!"After that last comment Vark spends the next few moments just consoling his friend.
Meanwhile, D.O.R.K has long since moved on to examine the bridge once more. "Unfortunate. If my model had been belt 1 foot taller, it would've been possible for me to just make the jump."She says as she loosened the rope hanging on the outside of her pack, and began coil an end about her javelin. "A possibility, Devin. If my Acolytes were not as injured as they were, I would have also suggested throwing one of them across." Both Beedo and Vark perk up at that with fearful eyes. "But we are not members of Torm's faithful." Both simultaneously wipe sweat off their brows. "Beedo. I know that you require some more rest. But, if you could get...On second that, can you and Vark see if there are any more ladders back at the post with all the "treasure"?" She request, finally looking up from her completed work.
Regardless of the answer, she tries to throw her Javelin up and over to the other side of the bridge with a rope attached, and hopefully bury it plenty deep into the wood.
"You are hungry aren't you? Those will help heal you as well if you are injured. Here, have another."

Jaylen stands still, taking in the scene without giving any reason for the strange creature to shy away from Devin's attempts to befriend it.

As the Tressym jumps up onto his pack Devin reaches up and scratches the cat behind it's ears.
"I'm sorry about your people. But you can stay with me if you'd like. The company would be nice. I wish I knew your name."
When they get outside he'll tell the others about what they found.
"Looks like in the forest North of here are some ruins the villagers may have squabled over with some copper elves."
"Kella heard much the same," Jaylen adds. She looks south and nods at the broken bridge. "How do we get over there?"
D.O.R.K bows her head for a moment, and then looks over to Blik and Flik. "The ladder might suffice. Closer examination would be necessary to confirm, however."
