Torunn grumbles as the spiritual weapon is out of range. "Is it too much to ask for some peace and quiet for once?" he mutters to no one in particular. So he moves closer to the target he shot earlier, before firing another shot from his musket.
Attack: 11 Damage: 15
If he is within range, he will make another attempt to send the spectral forge hammer flying into the strange creature.
"Always remember. Even troubled winds shall not stave off our arrows."D.O.R.K intones, and touches Vark's shortbow, Without missing a bit, she then picks up the javelin discarded at Vark's feet and launches it straight up at (N) from her eventual new position. However, the javelin sails well clear of the misty figures.
At the begining of the round Lukian steps out of the liftwell and warns Zephyros what is happening (see Post # 1374)
Torunn grumbles as the spiritual weapon is out of range and reloading his musket moves closer and fires at one of the misty creatures."Is it too much to ask for some peace and quiet for once?" he mutters to no one in particular as with a bang and cloud of black powder, the shot appears to be right on target.. Despite moving the spectral forge hammer closer it appears to have no impact!
Vark nearly drops the bow, unable to figure out what to make of it. That said upon hearing another of Torunn's shot rings out. He nocks an arrow and lines up a shot "I got ya in me sights now" he claims quietly before losing the arrow as he moves to E8-Ne
Meiva points once more at one of the intruders (OOC: it is not possible to tell which ones are wounded). "May you turn from gas to dust, still nothing to the wind," she intones but she might as well have never cast the spell for all the damage it appears to have done. Then the spectral spear flies back to Meiva's grasp, only for her to hurl it at one of the intruders again.
Both Beedo and Devin float up by 50 feet
Zephyros looks at the Navigation Orb stroking his wispy beard and obviously in deep thought. Suddenly with an “aaah that will work!” a wave of his hands, and the words “Dèan Sàbhailte” a ball of shimmering force surrounds the Navigation Orb. “Let’s see them, whoever they are, get through that”he says with a smile.
Throughout the round the misty figures still do not engage with the party but have all moved into the lift well where they continue to drift higher and now are at the following heights ‘I’ & ‘G’ @ +40’ ‘N’ & ‘D’ @ +25’ ‘V’ & ‘H’ @+20’
D.O.R.K points and tells the closest to her 'V', "Revert." in a voice that was both her own and not in the heat of the moment. As for her lance, she sends after 'N' again, or at least what she thought was it with another flick of the wrist. "Acolyte Beedo. Acolyte Vark. Continue suppressing fire!"
"Don't worry, boss Lady! We'z 'ill get da landing cover no problem!"He says, and -- having received no warning against the idea -- rotates around for a last trick shot down at the clouds.
Action:Shortbow Attack: 11 Damage: 6. (If at Disadv.:15)

An innovative approach!
In an attempt to get the nearest figure 'V' to reveal itself D.O.R.K. calls upon it to "revert to its normal state"(DC 13 [Wis] - 12). Suddenly she sees a dwarf dressed in high quality splint mail with a battle axe in his left hand, a heavy crossbow strapped to his back and a shield on his right arm that is emblazoned with a crown that has human figures on each of its points.
"What a surprise, the three 'G's - Giants, Goblins and Golems - all in cahoots," he comments before yelling at the other figures "achieve the mission, I've got this" as he starts to move towards D.O.R.K.

Seeing the shimmer appear around the orb, Lukian moves around to the opposite side of the hole from the orb, but stays on the edge so he can look down at the approaching hostiles. He extends his right arm and open palm downward, and as soon as all the rising attackers are within 30 feet, he calls in a loud voice, "أبي ، أناشد إشراق الفجر للقضاء على أعداء خادمك." The symbol of Lathander on his palm immediately shines like the sun. The light flows out from Lukian like a wave, simply warming his comrades, but burning all the creatures.
Ready action for when all the attackers who are still rising are within 30 feet: Channel Divinity: Radiance of the Dawn — Every misty shape within 30 ft need to roll a DC12 CON saving throw or receive 15 radiant damage (half on save)
Torunn grins as his shot hits successfully. With the intention of replicating the shot, he takes aim and fires again, letting off a burst of black smoke.
Attack: 22 Damage: 10
He then tries to fan away the black smoke with his hand, so he can successfully land a blow with the spectral forge hammer.
Meiva starts in surprise upon seeing that the revealed intruder is a dwarf. Then she frowns.
"Goblins, giants, golems..." Mieva ponders aloud, "none creatures known for goodness. Could it be that...dwarf!"she calls to V.
"Why do you attack us? Could it be that you are a fellow creature of good and believe this tower to be helmed by an evil creature? If so, I ask you and everyone to stand down. There is a misunderstanding. And if you are in fact a servant of good, I do not wish to curse you or your companions further."
"Why do you attack us? Could it be that you are a fellow creature of good and believe this tower to be helmed by an evil creature? If so, I ask you and everyone to stand down. There is a misunderstanding. And if you are in fact a servant of good, I do not wish to curse you or your companions further"Meiva asks as she walks towards E9-NE.
The dwarf lowers its battle axe slightly, all the time keeping an eye on D.O.R.K. and ready to respond at the slightest hint of an aggressive action! Looking directly at Meiva it says "our mission was endorsed by the Council of the Lords Alliance!"
Meiva's frown deepens, and she lowers her shield slightly.
"I know your organization. Though I am no expert pertaining to its innermost mechanisms, I understand why you would see this tower and its...pilot as a threat to order in Faerun. However, I hope that my companions and I can convince you that you and your Lord need not worry. Uh..."Meiva takes a breath and looks over questioningly at Toruun and Devin.
Both Goblins and 'Golem' let out a respective "Oi!" at the dwarf, then an even louder one from the goblins when Meiva agrees with him. However, in seeing the dwarf at least open up more to communication, D.O.R.K makes a gesture to keep at least Vark from firing upon the exposed dwarf. "Hold you fire, Acolyte Vark. Acolyte Beedo... maintain a defensive line up there."She says it all without turning her eyes away from the dwarf, or allowing the red glow of combatative state to dim in them.
And yet, after a moment's pause she at least put away Door Knocker, and crosses her arms. "Lord's Alliance? Searching for relevant files... Vark."The goblin in question gives D.O.R.K a glance before subtly nodding in acceptance, and lowering his bow further. "Okay, Big Time. In 'e name of 'er holiness, 'e Red Nite 'erself, we'ze declaring a truce. So, tell ya pals 'ere to 'old it. Any fur'er.. uh.. tresspass, 'nd we gonna take 'at as a 'ostile action." He states in a clearly rehearsed, and somewhat uncertain tone.
As Vark declares the truce, the dwarf looks at Meiva in surprise and not a small degree of contempt on its face "a gobbo speaks for you, well that's a turn-up for the books." Nevertheless the misty figures stop rising!
Devin finds himself stopped at the First floor but Beedo keeps on rising another 50 feet.
Hearing the truce declared Devin breathes a quick sigh of relief.
"So reveal yourselves and state your purpose that you invade without declaring yourselves. If you truly are from the Lord's Alliance then tell us your mission. We have been sent by the god's on a mission of great importance and this good giant is aiding us at this time. If we can help you we will but much distress can and would be avoided if you declare what you want. "

We have been sent by the god's on a mission of great importance and this good giant is aiding us at this time. If we can help you we will but much distress can and would be avoided if you declare what you want."
As Devin finishes his command a voice with a strong Scottish accent floats up from down below “you might want to think ‘bout askin nicely like. You’ve been associatin’ with Gobbos and those sneaky gits often reckon a bullyin’ tone will get ‘em what they want but I don’t reckon it’ll work in this case. As to a good giant well I reckon Clarion might have something to say about that! Just sayin you know?”
As Vark declares the truce, the dwarf looks at Meiva in surprise and not a small degree of contempt on its face "a gobbo speaks for you, well that's a turn-up for the books."
Meiva crosses her arms, face set, but does not reply.
Devin grins. "Fair enough good dwarf."With a flourish Devin makes his request "I Devin of Waterdeep, servant of Mystra the Lady of the Weave, hereby request that you reveal the nature of your quest to us."
"See all you had to do was ask nicely. Allright lads come down and say hello," the dwarf bellows up into the lift-well. Suddenly the five misty figures reveal themselves to be dwarves dressed in high quality splint armour with heavy crossbows strapped to their backs and shields all bearing the crown on their arms and battle axes. Whilst some of them have a few dents in their armour, none of the damage looks major.
The dwarf who has been speaking, well bellowing up at Devin, continues "I'm Voldrik Firehammer of Mirrabar. Me and the lads have been tasked by The Lords Alliance with disabling the navigation orbs of these floating castles so they can't bombard defenceless villages like what happened to some place near the Ardeep Forest a coupla ten-days ago."
While all this has been going on, Beedo finds himself a further fifty feet in the air and now in the Aerie. As he looks around in amazement at the six windows through which some sort of flying creature can come into the castle a very large silvery coloured head - easily three to four times bigger than Beedo - pokes inside and a voice says "Oh goody the lads have sent up morning tea" as a tongue longer than Beedo is tall licks very sharp pointed teeth longer than Beedo's forearms.
Devin gives the command to go back down and meets the dwarf on the ground level.
"My good dwarf, we, being my companions but not this giant, were in that village just a few days ago. We have been commanded by our representative gods to investigate what is going on with the giants and why such things are happening. I can assure you that this giant's castle is not involved. In fact the giant who owns this castle is aiding us in that investigation. It seems that Annam the All-Father has shattered the Ordning and the hierarchy of the Ordning is in dissary. Some cloud giants are trying to recover artifacts that were lost. The black stone that was in that village was one of those artifacts."
Vark just notices Meiva's "look", and just awkwardly shrugs at her. He turns snorting at the comment about Gobbos, thouh soon after something deresive in goblin. Meanwhile, D.O.R.K continues to slightly jerk her head this way and that, but for the most part appeared dead to the world for a time. It took Beedo yelling, "Ack! I ain't ya stink'n tea, ya git! Names B-Beedo Big Nose! Slayer of dragons, and arm wrestling champion! N-now you go away! Shoo! Y-yer not allowed 'ere!" for the construct to focus back on reality.
"Sios! Sios! Back to the first floor, please!" Beedo adds scrambling as much as he could out of immediate reach of a tongue lashing without getting too far away from the elevator. D.O.R.K looks frantically up and down between the lift and the gathered dwarves at the sounds before walking over to the lift. "Access to rooftop area restricted. Please return to the front door to await permission to enter." She shouts up the lift in a formal, but two-toned and booming voice.
At the reduction of combat, Lukian remains on the second floor, but walks around the hole to stand between the lift and the navigation orb. He crosses his arms over his chest, taking the pose of a guard, but not showing any hostile intentions. At Beedo's exclamation, Lukian draws his longbow, aims high, and holds it at the ready to attack anything that looks like it is a danger to Beedo.
Attack: 11 Damage: 7
Meiva points once more at one of the wounded intruders.
"May you turn from gas to dust, still nothing to the wind," she intones, casting Toll the Dead: DC 15 Wis save or 2 necrotic damage.
Then the spectral spear flies back to Meiva's grasp, only for her to hurl it at one of the intruders again.
Attack: 18 Damage: 11
And that's all I have to say about that.
