"That is good to have clarified. In hindsight, I was not looking forward to having to more carefully mind such things."D.O.R.K bows curtly to Devin. "You have my thanks." She then turns back to the Lieutenant, and seemed expectant of something. Perhaps that of an immediate mission briefing? Or maybe the follow-up to her request for the quartermaster? Either which way, that much more is hard to say.
(@DDP: E'yup! Lukian, Dork, and Ebonitus signed. Torunn and Devin did not.)
Once everybody has signed or not, the Lieutenant hands out some chits "take these to the Quartermaster and get yourself kitted out and then return and we can discuss exactly what it is you're going to do for the City!"
D.O.R.K starts to reach out to Lukian as if to either besseech or provide some comforting gesture. But her hand stops short, and soon after she nods to Devin and gives the lieutenant one final salute before taking her chits to... wherever they're directed to find the Quartermaster. Only once along the way and out of earshot of Lukian does she say, "I have not forgotten about your request to seek out the lost grandfather. As soon as the briefing is done, we shall make it a priority. Regardless of what said briefing may entail."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ebonitus examines the chit (Investigation: 24) to determine more of the loyalties of the city guards and follows the others out the door, thinking about what equipment he will need from the quartermaster.
Eager to finally be outfitted, even if the armor wouldn't necessarily denote her as a follower of the Great Red Knight, D.O.R.K is on the move fairly quickly, and more than eagerly knocks on the Quartermaster's store door. If it is an open area, or if only simply after the fact she tries to open the door, she carries on hustling her way to the first man or woman in uniform and possibly in the process of issuing gear as the group arrives. "Deputy Dork reporting fer outfiting, and slash or madam."She proclaims in her excitement, switching back to a more rural tone and term of phrasing, and holding out her chit for inspection.

Lukian looks at Dork. "Thank you," he says a bit distractedly. "All of this formality and paperwork is confusing. Why is it so difficult to render aid to someone who needs it?"
"Because before you can aid others, you must be secure that your own standing will not be compromised. Otherwise, you may find yourself unable to aid anyone." D.O.R.K would reply, if no other decide to at the time. "That is the wisdom of those who most care for many. Though for some, this answer is merely an excuse born of selfishness. Or worst yet, manipulate a scenario to their advantage. A sound tactic either way, if one does not mind the amorality to it."She says dispassionately for once.

The Quartermaster looks D.O.R.K. up and down and then starts reaching for equipment from the various cubicles behind him “right boots thigh length size medium, breastplate with bumps size medium, chainmail also with bumps size medium, long bow 1 thereof, quiver arrows 20 in total, hat size medium with feather cos she’s a lady, spear and dagger. Right that should do it! Next!”as he plonks the stuff down on the counter.
Ebonitus observes this and follows DORK's lead, "Deputy Ebonitus reporting for outfitting" and proffers his chit to the Quartermaster. "I don't suppose you have any boomerangs, do you?" he asks

There's a pink-ish tinge to D.O.R.K's crystalline eyes as she pile grows on the spot. Stunned by the end, she stands there staring at it for a long moment. But, the living construct eventually and wordlessly slots away the weapons, and scoops the rest of into her hands, before stepping aside for the others deputies. If there's time to do so while others got outfitted, she immediately begins making the minute adjustments to the chainmail first to make it more compatible with the rest of her being.
Otherwise, she was just as happy -- genuinely happy to just carry the armaments with her back to the Lieutenant without a care in the world!

A similar pile to what was placed in front of D.O.R.K. is also placed in front of Ebonitus. At Ebonitus' question the QM says a "a boomer what?"
"Nevermind," says Ebonitus, "this will do nicely." He takes the pile of equipment, sorts through it and equips what he can and packs the rest into his pack.

Lukian is next, handing the chit, and repeating the phrase.
Lukian is also given the same equipment as the other deputies. Once the party is equipped they return to the Lieutenant's Office. "Ah good to see that you have all the equipment. Right let's talk about possible missions - is there something you had in mind or do you want to find something for you to do?"
"There are only two of immediate interest. The first are Orcs; specifically, narrowing down their location based on any and all reports yartar has received in the recent past. The second is of the giant. As you have mentioned, you are aware of increase activity. Inquiry: But, do you know of any direction, or noteable locations that the giants have appeared be wandering to?"D.O.R.K asked in short order.
"Additionally. If you would have any particular missions that may involve locations further along the Evermore way that we can be of assistance;such as escort, transportation, or simple message delivery."

(OOC - to my way of thinking as deputies the party has the right to choose their own missions provided they don’t conflict with the city objectives.)

The chit simply says ‘please provide this deputy with any equipment they ask for up to the standard of a trooper of the Shields of Yartar.’
The quartermasters store is only a couple of doors down from the lieutenant’s office
