Gremryls is tired: tired of drow, tired running, and tired this.
"Hemmeth, ye daft? Stop with your pissing and stop now..Moradins heart. Us Dwarven Kind are known being sensible. Back in Adbar I had a captian who'd flogged first and asked questions later.. stow ye rage brother. Hear the Lass out, we all make mistakes brother..."
To morgana, gremryl will walk over and tell her
"I told you Lass. You've alot to learn. Ye beens solo. I get that. But ye ain't solo anymore. Ye owe Hemmeth, an apology. we stick together. Just like you, Elmo, leon, stool and I escaped that camp, you're my kin too. ye stopped me from smiting that Gray one. Ye need to listen. You're not alone anymore. Ye messed up. Ye be wanting to make your way, here it is. Say ye sorry and mean it. Otherwise lass.. ye step away. Moradins heart, I let ye pass on the pacifist village. But think hard on ye next move... we've come this far. Ye be one of us, or not?"
Hemeth stops to hear what Gremryl has to say out of respect for the bond they’ve developed. Unimpressed with his rationale, he responds.
Hemeth - “Daft, Gremryl? The girl spit in my face. Or did ya not see that? I heard her out just fine. And you...paralyzing me back there like that? Paralyze both of us, fine. But you only paralyze me! Is that what you call being 'sensible'?! So you side with her. You made that perfectly clear. So be it, Gremryl Stonebreaker. You’ve chosen your company. May us all learn from our decisions made this day.” He stands proud as he watches Gremryl head back to his group. Wishing things had turned out differently but knowing this is somehow the safer path for himself, Hemeth continues towards his home of Gracklstugh. He can't help but wonder if the bond he thought existed with Gremryl was true or just a lie that a Paladin of Moradin used to his advantage...
"I could only stop one of ye two Hemmeth. I didnt pick sides, i just didnt want to see me friends fight. Ye was right to be angry, and I'm sorry Hemmeth. Ye still me brother, ye have showed me that Duergar are proud Dwarfs. Ye showed me that Duergar are honorable. Ye showed me how to be tolerant and to look past skin and race. I ask ye not to leave.."
Hemeth (before Gremryl headed back to his group?) - “For you, I would stay. For Leon and Elmo, I would stay. For that young Tiefling, I won’t stay.” He says with finality. “Your problem isn’t that I’m leaving, Gremryl. It’s that you haven’t the sense to recognize your group’s weaknesses! I hope you make it to the surface. When I return to Gracklstugh, I will ask my father what he may know about your family...perhaps there is hope, yet I dare not leave you with more than that lest it eat at your heart for naught.” Hemeth places a hand out to Gremryl, as is customary for Brothers in Arms to greet and bid farewell to one another.
Leon returns to Stool and Morgana’s location. Leon looks at Morgana.
”I know somehow you feel wronged because you got attacked but you did almost kill the guy. I am sure you can understand being upset with that. Things were done and over when her began walking away. Then you went to far at the end with hitting him and spitting in his face. There are negative consequences to your actions sometimes. I think I may have saved us and allowed us to get in to Hemeth’s town. One question for you Morgana though. What is going to happen if you continue to burn all the bridges around you?”
Leon turns to Stool
”You mind helping me look for a good place set up camp?”
Telephathically to Stool.
”Are you okay buddy? How does all this make you feel?”
To the party that is present, but I'll also broadcast telepathically in case anybody else is listening: "I'm sorry that you all had to be subjected to that. I hope you believe me when I say that I wasn't trying to hurt anybody. Hell, I went out of my way to make sure that I didn't harm that traitorous Elmo during the battle, even though I may have wanted to. Hemeth was my friend. I stood up for him and helped him at every turn and it broke my heart when that fireball got away from me. I had no idea he was in the area when I cast it. I'd take it back if I could. I tried to make amends and he decided to attack me instead of thinking back on our friendship and how I've kindly treated him in the past. This I can't forgive. He doesn't just get to harm people. THAT has consequences. I apologize again if you have been put in an awkward position. But I appreciate your efforts to mend fences. I have a hard time making friends and I just lost what I once thought of as one. I hope not to go through that sort of thing again."
To Grem: "I DID apologize, but I was damn near throttled for my troubles! Why would I try to do that again? It makes no sense to me. You have taught me lots about friendship, Grem, and I'll always love you for that. So as my friendship advisor, tell me this: when a friend honestly apologizes for an accident, what is the proper response? Vicious assault? Is that appropriate?
To Leon: "I totally get why Hemeth was upset. But that doesn't give him the right to attack me. And I think that him getting dirt spit on him after trying to choke me with said dirt is fair. Did you and your magical inclinations notice that I only tried to end the situation nonviolently by disabling Hemeth? Did you notice that I could have gotten offensive and burned him to the ground at any moment but I held back? I think a little dirt in response to his actions was warranted. I was trying to mend bridges when I apologized. I'm sorry that it didn't work and caused us trouble but I did my best to diffuse the situation. Thanks for trying to speak on my behalf and trying to make up for my mistake by healing my erstwhile friend. You are aces in my book."
To Stool: "You ok, little buddy? I'm sorry you had to see that. Mr. Hemeth just got a little upset and is going to go cool off. We may see him again later on down the road. Thanks for trying to help back there. You are the best (kiss and hug).
”I don’t entirely agree with what you are saying but I understand your point. That being said, there is danger behind us and danger in front of us. It appears we lost Elmo and Hemeth because of the that fight. I think we should make camp, rest up and start fresh as soon as possible. Who knows what lies ahead of us now.”
Once everyone is settled, Leon focuses on the belt he found, Gremryl contemplates the events hat transpired this day, and Morgana fiddles with her ring. Stool does what you'd expect a sentient mushroom to do, and remains still. Morgana takes first watch.
About 2 hours in, Morgana hears a rumbling in the distance...
”Sorry Morg I know you don’t like my religion but I feel like living so me praying over you will only increase the odds of that”
Leon casts bless on morgana Grem and himself. Leon moves in front of Stool to protect him. Leon the cast Channel Divinity- Invoke Duplicity and place his duplicity in front of Morgana to attempt to have any attacks on her go to the duplicity.
The rumbling noise of digging gets closer. It's coming from the wall where they were resting. The solid rock wall now tears apart and out emerges a large, bipedal, insect-like creature with an ape-like build!
Elmo responds to Leon as he passes. “Why should he? Only a mad man would stay around that lass. I’ll save my I told ye so’s”
Gremryls is tired: tired of drow, tired running, and tired this.

No roll.

Leon to Morgana
Leon looks for a spot to set up camp for him and he remained of his allies. Once found Leon will focus on his new belt.
To The party: "Everybody on your feet. I hear something!"
I'll do a perception check to see if I can get any more details regarding the noise. 18
Leon stand up and prepares for battle.
Leon casts bless on morgana Grem and himself. Leon moves in front of Stool to protect him. Leon the cast Channel Divinity- Invoke Duplicity and place his duplicity in front of Morgana to attempt to have any attacks on her go to the duplicity.
To Leon: "I don't want to hear about your god, but that doesn't mean that I'll turn my nose up at his blessings!!"
To The Party: " EVERYBODY GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE WALLS!! I THINK WE'VE GOT INCOMING!! FOLLOW ME, STOOL AND PUT OUT YOUR PSYCHCI SPORES!!"
I'll move away from the walls and into the center of the chamber as quickly as possible. I'll also get airborne for good measure.
Feeling the loss of his dwarven brother from another dwarven mother..
"What..what is it? Hoping it's something to smite Lass... I be feeling especially Holy today.."
Ignites moradins benevolence.
