to the slime "Why you care mate? You stopped me. why? Kind of dramatic unless there was a reason" He raised his cross bow again. "Got a reason you care if I shoot inactive slimes? You didnt care when we attacked the other ones mate. Say your piece and say it quickly please mate"
As Morgana takes the gems over to the basin, she notices that there's only one socket that's been revealed. She attempts to place one of the gems into that open socket and it fits perfectly with a satisfying sound. The other locations that look like they should be empty sockets have yet to be opened.
Glabbagool - "Do as you wish and please take no offense. I was merely curious and wanted to learn why you would take such an action with no apparent provocation."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I want to do an insight check on Glabbagool. I think he is hiding something. The way he said that i am provoking something doesn't sit right. I would investigate the inactive and uncontained oozes with my hand, but after seeing what they do to my rapier and grem's armor, the crossbow seems like the natural response.
Provoke? I thought these things were inactive... and not your friends. What do you know slime? Will these things come to life if I shoot them?
Glabbagool - "I do not know if these sculptures will come to life if provoked. I do not know why you are attacking it. Is there something you're trying to achieve by doing so? I guess...I guess it seems cruel to attack a helpless creature. Does your kind not know of this emotion?"
"Ok, dummies, I think I have figured out the nature of this puzzle. Here it is: we need to push all of the "push" gems to reveal slots into which we can deposit the "pull" gems that we can pull out of the wall. The trick is, those ooze statues will come to life if molested. So we need to figure out a way around those little statues or prepare for a fight. Let's try this before we go swinging around; Glabb, what kind of shapes can you take?"
Glabbagool hears Morgana's question and starts to form countless different shapes with its...appendiges? You're not sure what parts of its form are making these shapes, but it is remarkable nonetheless.
Glabbagool - "I suppose I can take on my different shapes! I don't seem to be able to maintain them for very long, however. Can I be of some assistance?"
"I'm sure that you can, Glabb. See those little ooze statues? There are gems that you can push and pull behind them. I'd like you to try to form a long thin appendage that can push and pull the gems without disturbing the statues. Can you do that?"
Glabbagool slides over to the gems placed behind the sculptures and very slowly forms a long, thin tentacle-like vestige that is able to push on the gems that allow for that, without touching the sculpture. You hear the expected *click* near the basin, each time it does so.
You have discovered the locations of 3 gems and have pulled the 4 levers around the room.
Glabbagool - "These gems...like the one I gave you earlier when you asked for it. This is what you need?"
"Well done everyone!! what treasures ye find Morgana?"
He walks over to where she is.
To Elmo : "Not a big deal lad, you took action, but listened. I've been known break a few faces and walls before realizing i should of uh, asked questions first eh.. but not matter!"
All of you are standing around the basin, as the last of the gems is placed. Again, with that satisfying *click* sound...every time. The center pedestal of the statue then begins to shift its position and as you look towards the water now, you see it recessing. As it drains, your view of the center is clear and the statue base changes shape to now completely retract into the floor. A stone covering slides over the drain where the water and statue have now surrendered.
The basin itself begins to change shape and you all take a step back as it reconfigures its shape in a very mechanical way. Ultimately forming the shape of a large and ornate chest, inlaid with all sorts of beautiful gems. Its lid looks heavy...and unimaginably satisfying to open.
Morgana just so happens to be facing the lid's opening and it begins to creak near the hinges, as bright, golden beams of light escape from the chest. The light gets brighter, and before the chest is completely open, there's a bright flash in the room, emanating from the chest that causes all of you to look away and shield your faces. Glabbagool is the only one who remains unaffected and so its eyes remain firmly focused on the chest.
The light fades rapidly and Morgana steps forward to see what's inside before a moment's hesitation could settle in. She sees...

My mage hand will pick up the little statue in front of the third pull gem and wait to see what happens

Gremryl always one for doing things the “break it first and ask why later” readies his morning stars and readies a shield of faith to cast if need be.

Elmo lowers the crossbow
“You’re right lad. I wouldn’t lose sleep about killing a slime, no offense intended mate, but there has to be a better way with time growing short.”
"I'm sure that you can, Glabb. See those little ooze statues? There are gems that you can push and pull behind them. I'd like you to try to form a long thin appendage that can push and pull the gems without disturbing the statues. Can you do that?"
“That’s what when said lass!!”
Following thier gremryl grabs one of the gems and slides it into the socket
I place the other gems in the correct sockets. Assuming a treasure of some kind is revealed, I collect it.
Elmo asks his slimey friend while snacking on a pocket meat and throwing one into his green mass.
"Well done everyone!! what treasures ye find Morgana?"
He walks over to where she is.

He gives elmo a hearty pat on the Shoulder!
