"Shit... Shit... Shit!"Gilnur curses in dwarvish as he glances around frantically, trying to determine what - fallen comrade, wyvern looming and a dragonborn behind. "I think the captain has the right idea!"he shouts to his companions. Keeping an eye on that tail as he steps away, the dwarf casts a quick spell hopefully bringing their paladin companion back to consciousness (BA: Healing Word7). Having cast the spell his picks up his pace and continues back towards the Desarian and Artemis. Lightning flows from the ring and engulfs the dwarf's hand, and on his way past, he reaches out with at the heavily bleeding dragonborn and releases the energy.
OOC: What the heck is going on with these rolls lol...
Gilnur releases the lightning from his fingers, but in his panic, the lightning does not manage to connect with the Dragonborn. The Wyvern lashes out with its tail and Gilnur takes off running and Attack: 14 Damage: 13 and 28 on a failed save or 1/2 as much on a success. 19 con save
Gilnur takes 20 points of damage from the Wyverns tail, as it lashes out at him.
A roar of frustration bursts from Artemis' throat as he sees the chaos continuing to evolve on the ship's deck. It is a feral, primal shout and surprisingly vitriolic and savage coming from the throat of the lithe and willowy elf. He watches aghast as Calinar goes down before the onslaught of the Wyvern, but breathes a sigh of momentary relief as stalwart Gilnur appears to rescue their comrade from certain death. Still, the danger is not past, and the ferocious creature seems as determined as ever to rend his companions to shreds. Artemis whirls in place and brings his crossbow up, aiming directly for the Wyvern's midsection. The archer can feel his heart beating wildly in his chest and sweat beading on his brow, but the hand that guides his weapon remains steady and unshaken. He zero's in, smoothly breathes in and out before holding his breath... and fires.
Attack#1 on the Wyvern:12Damage:13
Attack #2 on the Wyvern:21Damage:15
His bolts loosed, Artemis will pick up the call going around the deck. "Yes brothers and sisters, we must escape and fulfill our mission!" The wood elf's voice rings out toward any ally in ear shot, "Get to the lifeboat!" With that, he will run as far and as fast as he can forward on the deck, trying to keep as much room between himself and the enemy as possible on his way toward the lifeboat at the front of the ship.
The Wyvern ducks below the first bolt, but Artemis uses that dodging motion to sink his shot into the creature. It hisses in pain, now aware of the crossbow wielder.
get to the choppa broke and naked!! (that's from the sequel LOL)

OOC: I just looked at the damage already done to this Wyvern and Artemis's hit was enough to kill it actually...
The Wyvern flaps towards Artemis after taking the bolt into its throat and hisses angrily. The fear of death comes into Artemis for a moment, before the Wyvern collapses on the deck. It takes one last breath before a whimpering sound escapes it, and it ceases breathing.
(Well that definitely helps. Means Cal isn't engaged with it to give it an AoO when he moves away. And it, ya know, can't knock him back down before his next turn)
Desarian takes in the state of the battle, and seeing how badly it's going, lets the lightning cloud above dissipate in favor of a new plan. He starts pointing at various points around the deck, and in each spot to which he points a Giant Owl appears. One owl appears flying in the air above each of the six Dragonborn. Another appears on the deck next to the Dragonborn on the lower deck, and a final one flying in the air above Kyra. "Carry the Dragonborn away from the ship!" he calls to the fey creatures, before following the others towards the front of the ship. Each of the flying owls dives at the Dragonborn beneath them and tries to grab them and carry them off the ship. The final 2 owls try to grab the nearest Dragonborn still on the ship and do the same.
Owl 1 grapple at DR1: 17 Owl 2 grapple at DR2: 13 Owl 3 grapple at DR3: 2 Owl 4 grapple at DR4: 2 Owl 5 grapple at DR5: 8 Owl 6 grapple at DR6: 13 Owl 7 (on deck next to DR6) grapple at nearest Dragonborn. 6 if he's still there, or whichever of the upper deck ones is closest and still there: 6 Owl 8 (flying above kyra) grapple at nearest Dragonborn. 5 if he's there, or 4, 3, etc depending who's around): 12
Any owls that are successful in grappling their targets grab hold and take off, using their full (halved) movement speed to move over the nearest side of the ship and as far away as they can reach.

OOC: I will say with those rolls, the dragonborn near Kyra is considered grappled, but is not being moved, and the dragonborn to the south of the captain that was near the wyvern are dragged off the ship and flung off.
Des summons his owl Fey friends and directs them towards the dragonborn attacking the crew. 2 of the dragonborn manage to fend off the attacks, while a third is in the midst of struggling against them. But 2 of the large creatures are successful, and manage to fling the creatures off the side of the ship. You hear diminishing screams as they fall down and are left behind.
The dragonborn dealing with the owl near Kyra growls and swings his sword at the bird 2 times. Attack: 17 Damage: 5 and Attack: 17 Damage: 5
The single dragonborn remaining inhales and blows out a stream of fire. 6 hitting the sailors and the captain.
The dragonborn still heavily wounded sees Artemis in front of him and takes 2 swings at him. Attack: 24 Damage: 7 and Attack: 16 Damage: 8
Artemis takes some more slashing damage, while 2 more sailors die from the fire damage. The captain screams in pain but holds onto the wheel.

Kyra connects 2 of her 4 attacks against this new attacker, feeling her knuckles clang against the metal of the armor.

Shocking Grasp Attack: 13 Damage: 11
(Relying on my dwarven resistances for that stinger: advantage on poison saves and resistance to poison damage.)

(Figures. 5 and 6 were the 2 I was most hoping to get out of there, hence the extra owls. And they get the worst rolls besides #2)

(There were 8 owls attempting grapples against 6 Dragonborn. Looks like you gave results for the 5 up top, but what about the one down below?)
The other ones failed their checks. I just used static rolls for the dragonborn.
(Kk. Just checking since you talked about the 5 on deck top and hadn’t said anything for the other with the owls)
