So Skameros wasn't paying attention when Beegred pointed out that the great axe was doing zero damage?

Technically, he's doing more damage than any of you. But, he's multiplying the incoming damage.
Black puddings are immune to slashing damage.

Yes, but each time they split, their HP drops by half.
Two puddings with half the hit points is the same number of HP that the original started with, but now there are twice as many attacks against the party.
If we had an AoE spell, then splitting would make sense. But since we don’t, it only serves to increase the damage versus the party.

I did say it multiplied the damage. But now it is possible for the party to one shot the individual puddings in a round, where before the regeneration could have allowed a larger creature with twice (or quadruple) the HP to last two or three.
Just saying.
Also, reminder: At round 4, I roll to see if another encounter occurs.
Also note, Rodolfo's ray of frost shouldn't have hurt this particular pudding, but I wasn't on the ball, so the damage stays. But from now on, Rodolfo is aware this/these puddings are immune to cold damage.
Ah, I didn't think about the unusual regeneration ability.

Narstin calls, infusing his words with magic to heal his ally while his spectral hammer swings at the pudding (@P12) again.
Healing Word on Beegred
Spiritual weapon Attack
Don't these both require a Bonus Action? I appreciate the heal on Beegred, but if you decide to do the attack+radiant (to hopefully take out pudding that just regenerated back to life), I will understand. Especially since the gnomes stablized Beegred.
Maybe these gnomes have some torches to spare? We want them to stay at a safe distance, but if they see any puddings go down to zero HP, maybe they can rain down some burning torches to do a single point of fire damage.

Checking in. Looks like it's Skameros's turn.
Hmm I swear I asked if the trench looked dangerous - or full of ooze where it would be dangerous for me to stand in it?

I probably missed that.
The trench is story flavor. You won't take damage for walking it in.
Hmm nevermind the ooze moved within 10 feet of me...

also unless Kerrec is adjusting the rules - they can only split so many times based on size of the original one.
and actually I forgot to add the -1 penalty to the weapon after the first split for that last attack.

You still hit with the -1.
Oh wow - they are really easy to hit hehe - but I think its just negative 1 to damage rolls.

Also TBH none of us but Rudolfo are the sharpest crayons in the box if you get my drift....

Unless I made a mistake, it's Beegred's turn at the top of round 3.
(Also, heads up, I'm out of town and away from technology next week.)
Sorry for the dice.
I'm out now until July 12, maybe July 13.
Hey at least they missed me - else that'd be 2 party members down...Skameros only has 39 hp left
Have a nice trip/vacation/whatever and stay safe and healthy!
