Maybe try it one more time, then judge? Like nschrock said, it seems fine either way, but maybe I'll feel differently after another encounter.

I don’t mind it, but it seems like an easy way to end up with a mistake or something.
Keep in mind that a few months ago, 3 out of 4 of the party members had an INT of 8.
I'm fine if you want to over-rule Beegred. What you are saying is what I'd normally suggest, if someone else wasn't being cautious. (But sometimes it is fun to be a little reckless.)

I applaud Skameros for trying a non-violent approach to this encounter. However, the story is this ghost still thinks it's alive and Skameros just said he was going to take his bones to his home (which is the burrow right behind the ghost).
Skameros can have inspiration, because I do want you all to find other solutions than just combat.
This won't be a long combat. Beegred goes first, and it doesn't have a high AC or that much HP. It can potentially be over on the first turn.
Aww well I tried to reason with the ghost, whose domicile we plundered earlier and stole the treasures they were reaching for when they died. So I guess we deserve this..
Beegred will keep an eye on the surroundings, in case the ghost comes back. He tosses a sack (the one mended by Rodolfo after the medusa tore through it) near the bones, so someone else can collect them.
Are you all going to throw the bones hap hazardously into the sac?

I am happy that I didn't have Beegred take care of the bones, because that is exactly what he would have done.

Yes, because of the nature of PBP, I allow this kind of ret-con. I will modify my post to indicate you notice Ogremach's Bane begin to approach with ill intent at which point you can cast your spell to hinder it.
I will say that Wind Wall only lasts 1 minute. So although Ogremoch's Bane doesn't defile the bones in spite, you still have to rush quite a bit, which jives with your religion roll of 8.
Maybe try it one more time, then judge?

I miss rolling in the thread - but that's just because I don't bother to check the game log as well.

You are not there yet. The ghost is in the doorway to its burrow. You are still just outside.
Oh I thought we were in there - I'll edit

Yeah, my fault.
The sitting down was more to put Skameros at eye level with the gnome ghost to seem less threatening

Probably way more effective than Skameros scolding it :)
