Sorry for being out of commission. I'll be ready when Beegred is up again.

@Tesservet: I get that you post with your phone, which makes it impossible to use the forum dice roller. Instead, can I ask you to save these three strings on your phone somewhere, then remove the space in [ roll] for each? Then you can cut and paste those when you make attacks
These strings will automatically take care of the To-Hit, damage and results from advantage/disadvantage:
So my plan is to keep the last statue (at L1 I believe) alive and away from Rodolfo (grapple sounds good). Then let the round progress to him again and he will Ready Action banishment on the swirling cloud, the trigger being when the last statue is killed and the dust joins the cloud. And then kill the last statue. And hope Banishment works :D
I'll let you retcon your action, since there are a couple things you should be aware:
I believe I said (or I should have) Banishment could be used on Ogremoch's Bane when it is occupying a single host, but not more than one. So you could have just tried Banishment right then by touching the remaining active petrified drow.
Holding a spell uses the spell slot, even if the trigger doesn't happen. If the rest of your party fail to defeat that last animated statue, you'll waste your spell slot.
That being said, for the extra drama, if you want to take that risk and it succeeds, I will reduce the saving throw modifier from +4 to 0, so a straight d20 roll against your save DC.
If the target is native to a different plane of existence than the one you're on, the target is banished with a faint popping noise, returning to its home plane. If the spell ends before 1 minute has passed, the target reappears in the space it left or in the nearest unoccupied space if that space is occupied. Otherwise, the target doesn't return.

Narrated your party moving up to the access to the sea of oozes and the path the 'strike' team took to approach the Pudding King. You all have a chance to make plans or roleplay a bit.
FYI, proceeding onward from here will result in random encounters up to the lair of the Pudding King.
I thought the plan wasn't to engage the pudding king that's why we went to play with the dust cloud?
I am against fighting a group of oozes.
Consider a single Black Pudding. Even if it didn't melt Beegred's armor or have any attacks of its own (24 damage per average hit), Beegred would still die before the Black Pudding. (For an average sword attack hit, the BP would take 6 damage and Beegred would take 4 damage from the acid splash. Beegred would die faster from his own attacks.)
But if we can find a way to help out with the fight, that doesn't involve charging into a lot of oozes, I am in.
Maybe the PKing has humanoid minions: more animated statues, elementals, demons, etc. Maybe the party could collapse the ceiling in a passageway, delaying most of the oozes from joining the battle. Or while the gnomes are fighting the oozes, maybe the party can find a direct path to the PK.

Yeah, my idea with Rodolfo was that since the path has been traveled already in the last couple of minutes by the strike team then it would be relatively clear and safe.
and I'm with Quasimodal on this - besides what he's pointed out - my weapons take damage when they hit oozes until there's no more weapon left. Skameros has his good axe and his bad axe (the one he's used against oozes already that is damaged). After 4 years of this campaign - not really ready to rush off to our death.
Please take this kind of post to the OOC thread plz.
Also, there is now only ONE petrified drow active, with many more available to possess. Yet Ogremoch's Bane chooses not to. For some reason...
Please review the various rules/posts I laid out with respect to fighting Ogremoch's Bane during the Battle for Blingdenstone. (Hint hint)

Hope all is well with you.
I think this is an optimal situation to be in, so it worked out fine.
Glad you're back.

Retconed. Thank you!
Wait - did we just win?

Almost.
Ok!
Pretty sure we still lost.
Paladin - warforged - orange
Huh? I'm not sure how I messed that up. But Ogremoch's Bane is 'fully' banished. There's no pieces left of it.
The elementals are safe from it's influence. And the battle rages on as you all realize your battle with Ogremoch's Bane was a success.
And there was much rejoicing!

That was and is the deal.
You could all return to HQ and wait for the battle to be over, win or lose.

I understand. My proposal is to take a look and to use the summoned earth elemental and ranged attacks to handle any opposition.
