I had the same thought. Wait long enough in the rope trick to let them pass and move on, then pop out and swim up
I forgot that Rope Trick can't be observed from the outside. I was worried (without reason) that the puddings would be waiting outside the entrance for the group to come out.
Right now, Skameros is outside their blindsight range. If the shoreline is far enough away that he never enters their detection range, then he will be okay.
Okay... Sounds like Beegred should stop being clumsy and get inside the Rope Trick area with the others.

Beegred taps Narstin from behind, to encourage him to keep climbing/swimming. He still has a lot of air in his lungs, but he would like to reach the water's surface as soon as possible.
Thanks for the bump. I've been working on releasing a new product and it's crunch time. I've been replying to new posts when I can, but keep forgetting to go back and check up on my campaigns...
Hopefully everything gets back to normal soon and I can refresh D&D Beyond 1000 times a day like I used to.

Oh, if you are busy, I'm not pushing. Good luck with the crunch time... But like you said, it is good to bump the forum thread every few days, to keep it in mind.

Narstin clears the fissure and frantically tries to swim upwards, making very little headway. However, he does move far enough for Beegred to pass.
At this point, with 6 more tries before even starting to drown, I'd say you all succeed in escaping the 'oozing temple'.
My tabletop group figured out the 'collapse the ceiling, swim to safety' thing without needing to prompt them and they had a much more harrowing escape as they also had two black puddings chasing them on the way out. They didn't have Glabbagool to help, as they flat out killed him on first contact. But with this group, it all seemed more forced and contrived and I question why they designed a dungeon like that with only 1 solution for the escape...?
I'm guessing the purpose of the module was first and foremost to introduce Glabbagool. Other than that, a few black puddings provides the only real risk besides the drowning/suffocating mechanics.

You've gone from knowing exactly how to get from Neverlight Grove to Blingdenstone, to being lost somewhere between the two. According to this post, you made 42 miles of progress before being sidetracked by the drow ambush (feel free to check this). That means your new navigation goal is 54 miles, if you choose to continue to Blingdenstone. But now you need to roll survival again, with Jimjar helping to navigate.
Glabbagool points out that he needs to go meet 'the King' and it appears to be in the same direction that Rodolfo indicated.
If you take a long rest, you should end up on Day 44 (there is no significance to how many days it takes to complete the module)

The good news for being lost is that the Drow are probably watching the well-known passages, and not the "off-the-beaten" paths that the party is using now.
Just wish we knew more about "the King". I'm fine with ditching Glabbagool later, or following him to the King.

Ah yes, I see they have been added to the swimming list now...that's unfortunate for me I suppose.

Haven't verified, but I think you can leave and re-enter the rope trick, as long as Rodolfo doesn't leave?
It doesn't go away when Rodolfo leaves either. Works differently than Tiny Hut.
Compare: Rope Trick vs. Tiny Hut
Good. So lets say our impatient ranger pokes his head out and can't see Glabbagool or the black puddings anymore.
Meanwhile, Skameros waits how long without anyone breaking the surface of the water?
Skameros will try to do math in his head and fail as he tries to figure out how long people should take to get to the surface.
Does he see Glabbagool and the black puddings when they surface? if so he'd keep quiet if they hadn't spotted him.

No, the black puddings would look like oil smears on the surface of the water, and seeing as there's no light...
Glabbagool wouldn't be a smear, but he's also almost transparent.
Just a heads up I will be out of town next week with little to no cell service let alone internet so - carry on without me

Having weapons and armor melt away from BP acid, when there are very few opportunities to replace them, is rather harsh.
