Sorry for these little itty bitty posts, drip feeding you parts of the story. But I'm trying to have the 'story' make sense while still giving you the ability to make your own choices along the way. I keep looking forward to writing the next big event, but if I did that I'd be railroading you part of the way. So I keep backing off and giving you these little scenarios until you get wherever you end up by your own choice.
How are we doing? Anyone not able to post because of the craziness in the world at the moment?
Situation: You've lost Glabbagool's trail. You're in a massive chamber that has a predominant set of stairs going upwards. The chamber is open all around these stairs, even behind it. There are multiple exits. The chamber looks natural and uninhabited, with the exception of the obviously crafted stairs.
Do you explore the stairs? Or go off in some other direction?
Do we look for a slime trail, to follow Glabbagool?
Or do we see which path has been worn down by the pitter-patter of tiny booted feet? (Maybe this place is visited often by deep gnomes or deep dwarves.)

Just for clarification, Narstin pointed out the location of a skirmish between Glabbagool and some of the booted small creatures. Glabbagool's trail leads to a fissure where you are not able to follow. So you know where Glabbagool went.
Alternatively, you can try and track the booted tracks back the way you came, or from where the booted creatures came from. Or explore the stairs.
I am waiting for a decision. Stairs or follow tracks ahead from where they came from, or follow tracks behind the way you came, or do something else entirely?
I'm not going to insist people post once per day or take matters into my own hands to move the story onward. Given what is going on right now with Covid19, I will keep things moving when I can, but be patient otherwise.

You have followed the small boot tracks to a small well hidden 'tunnel' leading up into the same massive pillar the giant stairs are carved into. Narstin's survival skills allow him to go so far as to say whoever uses this tunnel does make an effort to cover up the tracks and keep the tunnel hidden from view.
The tunnel itself seems to be used by small races. Narstin, with his girth and armor, will find it constricting. Skameros will not enjoy entering that one bit.
Rodolfo would like to catch up and see the King.
As long as no exhaustion levels are involved.

If I was playing a different-personality character, the response would definitely be, "Of course not, I said intelligent." :P

Yeah Skameros tried to follow Glabagool - but its not a secret door like the last time just a crack in the wall

Just checking in.

If Rodolfo would peer into the fissure and try to figure out which way Glabbagool went and then see if any nearby exits go the same way?
Otherwise it's the stairs.

What do you choose to do now?
I choose to not stuff my self like a marshmellow through a coin slot!

Checking in. What's the plan? Skameros doesn't like entering holes.
Lets take the stairs then
Stairs it is
Checking in. I'm still around. Waiting for responses.
