Surrounded and abandoned, the Nothic fights for it's life.  Beegred has been the largest threat thus far, so it focuses on the little ranger...

Skameros screams in goblin and swings his greataxe

Rodolfo shoots out a ray of frost: Attack: 23 Damage: 6

Skameros and Rodolfo both hit the creature, who knows it is in a fight for it's life.

Seeing the fight going heavily in their favor for the moment, Narstin contents himself with simply using another Sacred Flame to preserve spell slots.

Beegred is enjoying this fight much more than almost dying (twice) against the cave fisher. He does a halfling folk dance while doing more attacks.

• Bonus Attack with scimitar in off-hand: 25 Damage: 11

The over-matched Nothic can't avoid blows from two directions and two spell casters and ends up taking too many hits.  Bloodied, it looks at Beegred with contempt...

... and says, "Your hatred and anger because of Stone Giants will be your undoing, and when our spirits meet beyond, mine will laugh at yours for eternity."

Narstin continues firing off Sacred Flames at the creature.

Skameros swings again

The doomed creature knew it's fate was sealed when it peered into Beegred's psyche instead of fighting.  It barely makes any attempt to avoid the incoming blows as Narstin and Skameros cut it down.

(Feel free to roleplay if there's anything that has been revealed by the Nothics that pique your curiosity.  Otherwise, I will continue with the travelling rolls tomorrow.)

Beegred starts yelling angrily at the dead monster, despite how happy he was during the fight. "Take that back, you one-eyed walking snot pile!"

(Looking at the rest of the party, composing himself.) "What a bunch of lies. It didn't know anything."

Rodolfo wonders aloud, "That was so random, about killing ones father? Did you all hear the same stuff? Does it mean anything to you?" (sorry, for rodolfo the word meant killing a father, not parent)

Skameros looks around and shrugs.

Narstin shrugs as well.  "No idea."

Beegred: "Like I said, it didn't know nothing. Made things up to confuse us. But we made that evil creature think twice about doing that again."

"Good job Big Red...." And he'll give a big scary toothy smile

"BEE - GRED!  The humans around my village made the same sarcastic remark. And my hair isn't even red!"

In frustration, he hacks at the dead nothic with his scimitar. Then he remembers to look at the area around it, to see if it had anything useful in its possession. Or if it swallowed anything... Investigation: 19  (passive value 16)
