After being rudely awakened during their rest, the party led by Rodolfo inspects the rest of the cavern for any other hunter type creatures. They find no more, and while doing so also come across a skeletal corpse clutching an old mundane longsword, that could be cleaned and sharpened back into working condition.
With the cavern checked out and cleared, the party returns to their rest. Rested, the party eat, drink and set out once again. They emerge into a huge wide open cavern, pitch black and more or less follow Glabbagool as it travels without pause or hesitation. Exhausted once again, the party settles down to rest.
During the fourth shift while Rodolfo and Jimjar are on watch, having been conditioned of late to recognize oozes, they watch as one form slowly creeps up on their camp.
Rodolfo moves a bit closer and examines it, then turns to Jimjar, "I'm not sure, but have we encountered something like this before?"
(essentially wanting to identify if it's a gray ooze or black pudding or something new)
He will then try to hail it in various ways, by waving, bowing and talking to it.
If there is no response and Glabbagool doesn't mind then he'll just whittle it down with ray of frost and later tell the others about it. No point bothering sleeping people with a problem he can handle.
It's an Ochre Jelly, and trapped as it is by the wand, Rodolfo casually kills it. Glabbagool doesn't recognize it, nor can it communicate. It very likely was coming to eat some of you.
With no further interruptions, the remainder of the party wakes, packs up their camp and heads out. Several days pass without any incident. Beegred finds plenty of food along the way, keeping the party fed and Narstin magically provides water when needed.
Then one day, Beegred smells gas. The bad kind. Explosive and poisonous. The tunnel is narrow and filled with it. The obvious choices are to find another way, which would reverse any progress made. Alternatively, you can move through it at a run and hope it doesn't go on too far. Or, maybe another solution can be found?
Without knowing how much gas filled tunnels there are, or what the consequences for igniting the volatile air could be, the party elects to backtrack and find another way. Some members feel anxious at the thought of walking back in the direction from which pursuit would be coming, IF they are still being pursued. But eventually they find another way without incident. Several more days of quiet uneventful travel passes, Beegred easily foraging for such a small group while Narstin supplies fresh water every day.
After waking and beginning to travel, not fifteen minutes after leaving camp, the party exits a fissure and walk right into a long abandoned ruined outpost or village. There are numerous crumbled structures, some still standing. Everything is covered in dirt, dust and in some places, engulfed by stalactites and stalagmites. From where the party stands, there is evidence of old corroded tools leaning against stone benches and other 'stuff' littering the ground where long decomposed tables or shelves must have stood. This place seems to have been abandoned in a hurry, leaving a snapshot in time of some ancient culture.
Beegred heads into the ruins, hoping to find something useful to better equip the party.
He is relying on his senses (passive perception 19, investigation 16) to alert him when there is something unusual, and he will slow down to search more carefully at those times.

Rodolfo Investigation check: 12
After spending some time searching, Rodolfo forms a theory that these ruins were quickly abandoned when the area became dangerous... maybe the poisonous gas encountered earlier suddenly filled this cavern during ancient times.
Skameros follows Glabbagool, who also doesn't appear to care much about the ruins. Glabbagool enters a carved out cavity resembling a 6-8 foot tall alcove and in about a minute squeezes through some cracks and is gone. Skameros is left looking at a flat - non-natural- stone slab.

(What do you do?)
Rodolfo says, "Glabbagool, do you see this? Do you know this one? If not, should we kill it?"
(Some rolls to see how many charges Wand of Viscid Globs gained over the last 3(?) long rests: 7)
Rodolfo looks at Jimjar, then back at the approaching ooze and says, "Just in case, I'll freeze it and we can discuss this when the others wake up."
He'll shoot it with the wand: 8 (oh man)
Anyways, he'll keep shooting it until it sticks and if needed then once(?) more to allow the others to finish the long rest while this one is frozen.
Some more attack rolls with the wand: 22, 8, 15
In case there's more than one then this plan might need to be re-evaluated.
-----
Jimjar keeps his cool and keeps watching out for more oozes or other stuff.
Glabbagool responds, "I have never seen one like this."
Rodolfo expends 2 charges to manage to trap the ooze.

Is the tunnel also low or does it look like a higher one and the gas is heavier than air and filling the bottom part?
The tunnel is not that high, and it would be safe to assume the gas fully fills it.

Rodolfo, seeing Beegred rummaging around for abandoned stuff, will take his time to see if he can figure out what happened here.
Seeing a clockwork goldfish gets him REAL excited and extra curious for what kind of people lived here and where they might now be.

"Glabagool just left......" and he'll sit down on a rock or something.

Rodolfo blinks a few times, "Excuse me? As in into the wall or through a door or something? Show me please."
Upon being shown he says, "Skameros, could widen this gap or crack a little bit to see if there might be a secret passage behind it?"
Skameros puts his face against the crack and tries to look in to it to see anything....
Then using his damaged battleaxe will see if he can make the cracks bigger for the little one.
