Skameros puts his face against the flat slab of rock in the recess, trying to see more by trying to push his eyes into the stone. But it doesn't work, as the slab of rock swivels open with a puff of dust and a grinding of dirt and gravel. Skameros stumbles into a well worn and traveled tunnel, looking back to see the arched opening behind him and a door that would blend into the cave wall to the point of being unnoticeable when closed.
Skameros opened a secret door, from the secret side.
After Beegred finishes searching the ruins, emerging with several trinkets, the rest of the party sets off once again. Jimjar recognizes the passage Skameros stumbled into as a major highway leading from and to Blingdenstone. At least, to gnomish eyes it looks like a major highway. To the others, it looks like just another dirty natural tunnel leading on and on.
There are no pauses or switchbacks or scouting branching paths from this point onward. The party travel directly until they arrive into a large fabricated dome shaped cavern with many exits framed by archways. There is nothing natural about this cavern. In the center of the cavern are two rings of perfectly round boulders. In the cavern you also catch up to Glabbagool, who has paused and is waiting for some reason.
Glabbagool responds, "The King is that way." The cubic form of Glabbagool provides indication of where 'that way' is. "But I can hear the screams again, faint but from below and that way." Once again, you have no idea where 'that way' is.
Rodolfo will recall his time with small kids and tries the following - he will point to various directions, including up and down and ask each time from Glabbagool if King is in the direction he's pointing and if the screams are in the way he's pointing.
It takes a bit of time, but eventually Rodolfo manages to get a sense of what the directions are. The two are separate arches to their own branching tunnels.
Travel is for the most part, uneventful. The tunnels and caverns themselves look entirely natural and devoid of anything interesting. If it wasn't for the archway you stepped through to enter them, you wouldn't think there was any significance to them. As you grow tired and start thinking of taking a long rest, two creatures pop out from the wall in front of Glabbagool and begin to chatter in what must be a language that none of you understand, to which Glabbagool responds, "I have nothing to give and they choose to travel with me."
One of the creatures looks like a little dust cloud with a distinct face and body poking out. The other looks like very wet clay sculpted into the form of the creature you see.
The two creatures pause their gibberish to look blankly as Rodolfo speaks to them. Then they resume their cacophony. Glabbagool seems to respond telepathically to some query, "They are not my herd of food. They follow me to find the King."
Apparently speaking to Rodolfo, Glabbagool says, "This is not the King."

Rodolfo says, "You are very perceptive and full of surprises, my big furry friend!"
"Lets go get the others and see where this takes us."

Rodolfo nods, "Glabbagool, lets head towards the King then. If the screams reach us then we will deal with them."
Urging Glabbagool onwards towards the King, the party leaves the domed cavern with the spherical boulders and travels down more tunnels.

Rodolfo bows to the creatures. "My name is Rodolfo, we are helping Glabbagool get to the King."
He gestures to the others and introduces them as well.
He finishes with, "Are you the King?"

Rodolfo says quietly to the others, "I don't like the talk about us potentially being food. Do they look threatening to you?"
He backs up a few steps and casts longstrider on himself and Jimjar. "So we can keep pace with others if need be"
"Just eat them, King is waiting...."

"I don't much like being thought of as food either," Narstin agrees.
Glabbagool responds to Skameros, "They are not food either!" Then Glabbagool seems to respond to the creatures again, "I must go meet the King. I can't help you."
With that Glabbagool continues onward.
Do the other creatures seem like they would allow the rest of us pass as well?
