Hurosk takes the greatsword and scabbard then places it over his back. He stands and watches, waiting for the inevitable, as Lyreis deals with the cleric. With a nod, "There now, that business is done."
"My thoughts exactly, Lyreis. I believe we should rest as well." Then to the elf's last point, "Though, I have a bad feeling that we may be taking care of someone else's competition here. When we get back to town we should be careful."
Mathilda looks at the floor as the man speaks. Clearly, he does not have a good reason for being involved in this drug ring. She knows what the elves are going to do with him, but after his explanation, she does not mind anymore. Quietly, she follows Hursok to inspect the boat, preferring not to bear witness to another killing.
When they return, she is quiet and withdrawn. As the other's discuss watch shifts, she curls up in one of the beds upstairs and rests.
It is in on the bed where Mathilda realizes that both mercenaries said that the pay was good, but they only found spare coins. She is giving this a thought when Hurosk appears and talks to her of this. They both search the room and find some loose wooden planks under one of the beds. Inside there is a chest containing what it seems like the payment for those four mercenaries.
After having some dinner the rest of the party goes up and find themselves a place to rest. Lyreis and Hurosk keep watch during the first hours fo the night and not long after sundown they see how the fog start to rise from the lake once again. Soon the house is surrounded by a think fog. The sounds of the lake seems amplified by it, and their cloacks are soon covered by droplets of water from the condensation of the water. The moons give it a pale reflection. It seems like a place blanket has fallen upon the world.
The first watch passes without incident and Lireys bids a good night rest to his friend.
In the middle of the night all that are upstairs sleeping can hear Lyreis’s voice callin for them, telling that they have company and that they should shield their minds and come down.
Alert and worried the party gets ready to go down.
Mathilda and Kyne has a short rest. Too soon for Hurosk to have one though.
Molly yawns and rubs her eyes, then takes up her new shield and positions herself ready to unleash the Mother's gifts.

Mathilda is upright in seconds, having slept - if one can call this uneasy rest sleep at all - in her clothes. She grabs her weapons and quietly sneaks up to Moltaris and Kyne. "I can hear a woman outside", she whispers. Lyreis warned them to shield their minds, but Mathilda does not know what to do. She tries to think of a flame burning quietly and steadily, blurring out other thoughts with the image.
Molly unsheathes her rapier and, muttering "Cover me..." to Kyne, storms out the door towards the voices. Her hollow, tied eyes still flash with anger as she moves with forceful purpose in their direction.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hurosk shoots up as he hears the voices from outside. As the others make their way out the front, the half-orc slips out the broken window to hopefully get the drop on whoever Lyreis has encountered. He quietly finds a place to cover his companions from the trees and bushes.
Mathilda sees Moltaris and the others ready to strike, so she risks a peak around the corner. The woman outside seems out of place and Mathilda immediately thinks of the lady of the lake that the thugs kept talking about. She takes a deep breath and whispers to the others: "I'll go and see what's going on, I think it's the lake lady." She steps out onto the porch and asks: "Lyreis? Who are you talking to here?" She stands next to him and gives the unknown woman a distrustful stare, careful to keep her mind fixed on the simple image of a burning candle to possibly protect herself from whatever mind magic this person might try to use on her.
“Oh my, aren’t you adorable dear? “ ask the woman Mathilda as she appears. “ And look at that “ she carries a hand to her chest, as if she was really impressed “ you two are fierce aren’t you? And I can even feel the point of your arrow hunter “ she doesn’t turn to look in Hurosk direction, but instead she moves a little bit to face his companions and offers her back to him.
“Now perhaps we can start talking, right dears? As I was asking to your stern friend here “ she motions a hand towards Lyreis “ tell me. Were you sent by my enemy or you just want to be righteous?” The tone in her last word and the chuckle with that she ends the sentence makes clear that she find the idea really funny.
Moltaris neither speeds up nor slows her methodical, stalking forward progress towards the mocking woman.
"You don't know us, *****, so keep your laughter to yourself. We don't deal in jokes - we deal in steel and blood."

“Mocking you? But dear I have only but the upmost respect for you. After all you’ve killed my servants. That gives you some credit. Try not to upset me... you will... regret it. “ Her tone is cold when she says that.
“Now now fiery elf, if you were sent here by someone, and I can only assume that someone is that old antique of Dauberos, then we can bargain. The mercenary type has a way of... navigate through this kind of things and make profit of it. “she takes a few steps out of the cover of the house and towards the lake “ I hope that you already found my former servants pay, so you know I am generous. But, on the other hand, if you are just a bunch of righteous adventurers wanting to make a name for themselves and clean the land from evil... “ she shrugs “ at least you are a colofur lot and dinner will not be boring.”
Mathilda decides that the lake lady will probably more forthcoming if she believes they are interested in the money, so she puts on her very best mercenary impression. "Oh no, no, we are very interested in the money. The cash, you know, eh... the moss!" Then, she belatedly realises what the woman just said, and blanches. Very un-mercenary like, she squeaks: "What do you mean, dinner?!" She takes a step back, behind Lyreis, and her eyes dart between the others.
Hurosk sneers at the strange woman's comment, giving off a grunt of displeasure. Bow still drawn and trained on their foe, he takes a few steps forward so that he can see her clearly. He focuses his vision on her, blocking out all other senses for a moment so that he can see her clearly even if with his eyes closed. "You can't run from me," he whispers.

Likewise, your quarry doesn’t doesn’t gain advantage on attack rolls against you due to being hidden or invisible. Kyne nods to Lyreis and Hurosk.
"That man was anything but trustworthy. Let's deal with this island once we're ready and then take care of any other business once we return to town."
The elf gets up and heads back to the lake house for a siesta.
