Enemy Attack Rolls:
Shortsword vs. Gruun: 22 Hand Crossbow vs. Therien: 10
Magical bolts fly from Therien's fingertips, pummeling and ragdolling one of the drow lifeless across the corridor. Gruun appears from thin air, slamming his greataxe to the ground as his nimble target steps to the side. Hox skips his arrow off of the wall, missing his target. The tabaxi backs to the wall chanting, and vanishes from sight.
"The cat brought a wizard! Kill him!" The sword-wielding drow yells, darting forward and sticking Gruun as he retracts his axe, dealing 3 piercing damage (1 after rage), though the raging barbarian barely feels it. The other drow turns wide-eyed down the corridor, loading a bolt into his hand crossbow and firing. The bolt nails Therien's side, dealing 6 piercing damage.
Therien CON Save: 17
Round 2 Order: Players <===== Insane Drow Zealots
Tracking: The sword-wielding drow is engaged in melee combat with Gruun. Hox and Therien are 80 feet away from the drow and 110 feet away from the tabaxi. The tabaxi is invisible and 30 feet away from the drow.
Therien winces in pain after being struck by the crossbow bolt. Considering the success of his first Magic Missile attack, the elf chooses to do the same, aiming for the crossbow-wielding drow. (Force damage: 10)
OOC: Botting the tabaxi for this turn, he is remaining invisible against the wall.

Drow Acrobatics: 7
Gruun reaches and grabs the drow with the crossbow, preventing any movement. Therien's missiles slam into it while it tries to slip out of the bugbear's fierce grip. Hox takes aim, sending an arrow into the head of the other drow just before it lunges at Gruun again.
"Oh how exciting,"Bartle comments, "Take one alive! We are going to need one!"
Gruun Athletics: 14 Drow Acrobatics: 18
The drow spins out of Gruun's grip, landing nimbly on its feet and taking off down the corridor, unwittingly charging directly toward the invisible tabaxi.
Round 3 Order: Players <===== Insane Drow Zealot
Tracking: The sword-wielding drow has fled from Gruun, standing 30 feet away from Gruun and 110 feet away from Hox and Therien. The tabaxi is invisible and in melee range of the drow.
Since entering the pyramid Therien has cast several spells, and he's now feeling the toll it has taken on his spell casting ability. "The drow is too far from me,"he remarks. "I can do little else but give chase."
The elf then takes off in a full sprint toward Gruun and the fleeing drow, covering a distance of 60'.
The tabaxi would like to trip the running drow. He knows they are evil, the other group just looks evil so far. (technically grapple I guess? 16 and if it's with advantage due to invisibility then the other roll would be 10)
OOC: That would be an Athletics check contested by the target's Athletics or Acrobatics to knock a creature prone.
Drow Acrobatics:11
Therien takes off at a sprint down the corridor, when the tabaxi suddenly appears along the wall. The drow trips on the tabaxi's outstretched leg, and unable to keep his balance, falls to the ground.
Round 3 Order: Players <===== Gruun and Hox still to act Insane Drow Zealot
Tracking: The remaining drow has fled from Gruun, laying prone 30 feet away from Gruun, 50 feet away from Therien, and 110 feet away from Hox. The tabaxi is engaged in melee combat with the drow.
OOC: Pack Tactics and ranged vs. prone would cancel out, so I'll use the first roll.
The arrow flies from Hox's bow, silently striking the prone drow, who no longer moves, still in death.
Bartle turns to his silent mage friend, who stares blankly ahead. "Sorry, Dummy, it looks like we'll need you instead, hmm? I tried to tell them," Bartle comments.
Tracking: The corridor turns to the left near the tabaxi.
OOC: Each character has received 37 XP for defeating the drow.
Therien slows his run and turns toward the tabaxi (a race he's never seen face to face). "Likewise, it would seem. No doubt we're all a bit unsettled, eh? This place would make a dead man ill at ease."
The elf takes a quick glance at Bartle, trying to read whether he (Bartle) is in any way surprised by the presence of the tabaxi and the drow.
Gruun, fresh from battle, doesn't take kindly to the new comer right away. He keeps his Greataxe ready, a quick movement away from being poised to strike.
Hox quickly scurries among the felled drow, and finds a total of 120 gold pieces among the bodies.
Now that the fighting has ended, Bartle waddles forward, making comments as he passes the bodies. "Fascinating...suspended animation? Powerful magic, indeed, hmm."
He studies the tabaxi curiously from a distance, letting the conversation play out.
The tabaxi answers, "I'm Zane. I was way too open with those people," he points to the drow corpses "and that got me almost killed, or worse. You'll excuse me if I'm going to be a slight bit more guarded with strangers for a while, wouldn't you?"
He looks you over and is visibly confused. "You lot are strange for sure. I've never seen clothing like this before."
Making his way back to Gruun with his visual examination he realizes the greataxe situation and remembers the question. "To be honest I'm not sure where here is exactly. At first I went along with those dead folks willingly, but once I decided that I had gone far enough they started threatening and later even dragging me along."
"Who are you and why are you here?" he asks in return.
"We are guards for this one to explore this place."He nods his head toward Bartle. "We have already lost one to this place. Will you finish this place with us? Between our guide and what is left of yours perhaps we will all get out of here."
"Enamored with shiny things...that's Hox," remarks Therien.
"Zane, how did you enter this particular passage?"The elf then points toward the large, diamond-filled room, "We came from a cavernous room in that direction."
