As you walk toward the sound, underneath your many legs you feel an odd texture. You look down and notice that all around you is webbing. It was only by coincidence that you took a form that would not get stuck in the sticky stuff. You walk a few feet further and see a massive spider, easily the size of a human, gnawing at the exposed throat of what appears to be a large bird. It's wings are tightly wound in webbing, preventing flight. You see a bow on the ground near the creature. There is no doubt, it's McFuddy, and you appear to be much too late.
The creature stops feasting and looks up at you as bits of flesh and feather hang from it's mandibles. As quickly as it looked up, it looks back down and continues its meal. It doesn't care about your presence.
Standing up, his hands balled up into his sleeves -both completely numb. “Just move on?” He nervously stumbles but starts to catch his cool loosening his grip on the damp fabric. “Ok. But, um.. hey, what did you see? See anything?”
"That's... that's horrible. Are you sure it's too late?" says Frenevîr. When Liet negates he sighs " Poor guy..." he replies. With a last worried look towards the woods he follows Liet towards the cave.
((You aren't near the cave yet. The party is on the path that will hopefully lead to the cave.))
A bit shaken, the group continues on the path. After a little while they pass the trap that Liet had previously triggered while in cat form. Now you are all walking on an 'unscouted' path. It is apparent you all are at least heading in the right direction when the group passes two skulls resting on top sticks. They are each on the side of the road. It seems to be a crude warning of some sort.
((What is the marching order? Just curious.))
((FYI: It's around noon))
((Pausing here in case you want to do anything...))
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Liet is probably, reluctantly, in the lead, doing his best to quietly follow the trail and watch for traps. He also quickly takes a deep breath casting guidance on himself.
stealth 10 + 2; perception 22; survival 21
((awww... it says manipulated... I just added the d4 for guidance after... but I think b/c I added the dice roll in between the others it pinged it... Also, very strangely... though the main rolls stay the same with my edits, the guidance d4 keeps re-rolling each time to make a new edit.... wait... shit... they all do...Sorry... I'll reroll all these in the following post ㅜㅜ))
You slowly make your way further down the path. About thirty minutes after the skulls you notice another tripwire. You follow it, and see that it is attached to a massive log high above you that would have swung down and surely crunched your small body. You deftly navigate around it, as do the others.
About another half an hour goes by. It is taking a while as you are going slow to be safe. Finally, you see a rough stone surface through the trees. You peek around and see the entrance to what appears to be the cave. You can hear faint sounds of talking from within, and there is a dim glow in the back of the cave.
((Yeah totally but he need to see where to cast it first and to cast it efficently to get as most of the guards/bandits/whoever are inside as he can ;) ))
Fran can see the two guards near the entrance of the cave chatting away. They are still pretty far away, as you can just catch glimpses of them between the trees. They are a good 200 feet away or so. @Fran, you can attempt to get closer, (within 90 feet to cast sleep), but if you want to remain unseen, please roll stealth.
"What was that?!" says Frenevir not really paying attention to Steve's hands... he looks to the woods around
"Hope that guy is ok..." he says in low voice waiting for Liet to explore.

Seeing this, Liet shudders a bit, and heads back to the group to report, ending by saying "We should just move on... Let's get to the cave."

What do you do?
Drawing out his sword with caution not to make a noise Frenevîr whispers
"Let's take a look, it seems that there are some guards. perhaps I can take them out without making noise..."
Frenevîr's idea is to cast a Sleep on the guards if possible.

”Fran, you want some back up? Maybe you can approach on the right and I on the left. Your call.”
I will also cast sleep if Fran fails
