To the Mom "No, we aren't certain of anything yet, I suppose that is a possibility."

Turning to the boys "Did Anna every talk about anything strange or scary? Maybe a person that was scary or a secret?"

She says, "A mysterious patron? In Waterdeep? That describes half the people who live here."

To the question about Anna ever mentioning anything strange or scary, the boys look at each other and have a brief flash of that wordless sibling communication and shout "No way! Anna wasn't afraid of anything!" Barrett says. "I bet if she was there today, Byron woulda taken those guys down himself!" He laughs.

"Shut up Barrett!" Byron says.

The mom says, "Around here, kids grow up being scared. There's awful people coming through here all the time. Always some new gang out there trying to bully people and do whatever they want, acting like they're the Masked Lords themselves."

Byron says, "Um. You said a mysterious guy came looking for her? Should we go to where, like, lots of mysterious people hang out and see if we can find anything there? Maybe someone else mysterious knows something? We could go to one of the --"

"You've boys have had enough adventure for one day,", his mother interjects. "You're lucky these nice men where there to help you when those people attacked you! I'm not letting you out of this house for the rest of the day!" 

Your mother is right boys. You've had quite the day and if I remember correctly, tonight is a very special dinner for your family. Happy birthday Ma'am.  Aria smiles at the mother and then back to the boys.... But you'd be a great help just by telling us where we could go.

Maybe those guys that attacked my boys know something about this, I bet rotten people would know something about girls going missing."

Veryes looking somewhat abashed says "How silly of me to forget your birthday Mam! Your boys were very excited about it! If you'd indulge me..."

She sings a quick Happy Birthday song while casting dancing lights to make small glowing orbs dance around the ceiling for a moment (don't want her to think I'm trying to burn her house down)

Veryes' light show dazzles the small family, and the boys' mother thanks the party again for their help saving her boys and bringing them back home to her. Byron insists again on trying to help them find Anna, but his mother is steadfast in her refusal.

ooc: DM, between going to the market and me trying to stretch out conversation here has an hour past?

(I think so - I think everyone played the market very cautiously, it would have taken Aria at least 5-10 minutes with the potion dealer alone. Then walking back to the house, the conversation with the family. 60-90 minutes have past. We started midmorning, I'd say it's early afternoon now.)

(We can also say that the family allows the party to take a short rest at the house.)

Veryes pats Crush on the head "Have you had a chance to breath and rest a bit my friend? Feeling any better?"

After his rest and the medical attention given to him, Crush is back to feeling much better. The orc would pick up Veryes with one hard, grabbing him around the waist before standing up. Holding the halfling at eye level he would take his free hand and pat Veryes on the head in response. "Crush feel good. We go find Anna now" He orc would grunt with a smile before placing the small figure back on the ground. 

Veryes looks up at Crush kindly. "I'm glad you're feeling better. Next time you fight remember to use your inspiration you silly giant!"

Veyes would thank the family again and head outside asking the party what they'd like to do. To Myrtles?

Crush would follow behind, waving to the woman he he leaves. "Thank you for help, Crush feel better. Happy birthday" the orc would say as he emerges from the house and into the sunlight. "Go to Myrtle, beat bad men to find Anna?" The orc would say scratching the scruff on the side of his large face.

Yes.. Usul if you could lead the way again. Let's keep our eyes open for anyone acting like the guys we encountered before though. 

She waves goodbye to the mother and her boys..but can't help to have a bit of a sad, fleeting look in her eye as she starts to walk away. She quickly snaps out of it and looks over to Gatt and....  Hope you got your javelin ready.

"Well then, lets be off!" Usul will go up to Muad, rub his head, and lead him (and the party) towards their next destination

Following, whistling a little walking song softly, still saying excuse me and pardon if the traffic gets too tight.
