Usul will say to the group "Quick! Follow me!" and will dash off at double speed through the streets, leading the group with him ((yay Urchin~)), through the side streets and alleys to lose anyone following. Ducking into an Alley he'll also cast minor illusion to appear like a crate or box of some kind to further slow those attempting to follow.
The two dwarves give chase, trying to spot them (rolling at disadvantage, I want a stealth check from everyone trying to hide from them): Dwarf #1 19 Dwarf #24
"You know right way" Crush would ask with a grunt, scratching his forehead. "Crush ask directions" The orc would say as he proceeded up to the first person he could find, not bothering to remove the halfing from his shoulders.
If Aria stood her ground and the dwarves didn't chase, then Sen would have (very reluctantly) halted, called out to Usul, and stayed close enough to help her if things got nasty...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Veryes was having too much fun riding around on Crush and wasn't paying attention to where they were going either. When Crush gets someones attention she says "Excuse me. Could you tell us where to find either The Empty Keg, The Red-Eyed Owl or The Yawning Portal please?"
Veryes asks an older shopkeeper sweeping the street in front of his storefront where the Yawning Portal is, and without looking up, the man points a finger behind Crush and says "Go back that way four blocks, then head west a couple blocks, then south, then you're there."
There's confusion in the alleyway as Usul throws up an illusion to attempt to hide the party's escape, and then immediately drops it when Aria doesn't follow and instead faces down their pursuers. Sen panics and freezes as Usul calls for the guards. As they're in an alleyway, the guards might not be quick to respond. The dwarves approach them with the intention of robbing them - these aren't run of the mill street thugs, these are bottom of the barrel guys trying to strongarm some copper from someone.
(I understand Usul has greater speed through the city, but the illusion was meant to keep the dwarves from seeing them escape, so, stealth. A high roll would've meant they escaped without being seen, a low one would've been the dwarves' could've given chase, even if they wouldn't have been able to catch up. Just to make it interesting).
Veryes pats Crushs' head. "Well there ya go. We aren't that far off. I'll stop covering your eyes now though" she says with a giggle. They will follow the directions. In as nonchalant a way as possible Veryes will also scan the surroundings and the skies to see if they are being follow by birds or anything else.
Crush will grunt with a hint of annoyance at getting lost before heading off in the right direction with Veryes on his shoulders. "Hope get there soon" He would say as he looks around the area making his way through the crowds.
I also see us still in the main market, as Aria didn't move at all. Sen would be about forty feet from her, and perhaps Usul another thirty feet ahead, but all still in a populated area.
OK, we'll stagger them like that - Aria squaring off against the dwarves, Sen behind her, Usul behind him. Usul's calls for the guards have gotten their attention -- but they're not sure where the yelling is coming from just yet. The dwarves are confident they can at least strongarm a few gold pieces away from Aria before the guards get there to stop them.
Crush and Veryes are able to find their way to The Yawning Portal without incident. Where to now?
Veryes arriving is surprised to see that Usul and everyone else isn't there. She knows how quickly he can move through the city, being somewhat like her moving through larger spaces. She looks down to Crush "Usul and the others should be here already. Especially since we got lost." Tapping her lip and his head in unison "Should we wait for a bit?"
(DM: what's it like around here at this hour? Are there any people out and about walking around?)

((So what exactly is happening with us? We're squared off waiting and they're approaching. How far are the guards? Do you want us to roll initiative (13) or something?))
Seeing the bustle of the market, Usul will change his illusion to be a large bloody looking arrow floating in the air above where Aria and the Thugs are, pointing down to them, hoping to give a very clear sign that this is the disturbance, while he again yells "Thugs here! Help!"
Screams erupt from the crowd as a bloody arrow appears hovering over the market. Many of the people scatter, others freeze, unsure of what to do. The guards draw their swords and rush towards the arrow. The dwarves, now trapped between (3/5) of the party and the rushing guards, abandon their plan to strongarm the party and instead try to push past Aria to make their escape.
At the Yawning Portal, the tavern is open and serving late breakfast to the few people interested. Veryes would remember that the plan wasn't to meet here, though - this is where Shadrach said he was staying.

((Not stealth. Just straight running. My background feature means Usul, and those he's leading, go at twice speed through a city))

Sen considers bolting off into the crowd and abandoning the group, but Usul seems to have a plan so he follows as best he can.
Aria doesn’t try to hide from the two dwarves and stands there with bow in hand looking at the two.

Seeing his friends halt and not follow him, Usul sighs, and when the dwarves approach calls out "Guards! Help!"
