"C'moan, now. Ah dinnae wantae hurt th' wee dugs." Alexandra complains as she focuses energy into her walking stick. She mutters an incantation and casts prestidigitation to create the illusory scent of a delicious pot roast coming from a nearby window to try and divert the attention of the mastiffs away from the fight.
((Though it's not quite Usul's turn, he's not far, and I'll go ahead and put it in here in an effort to keep things flowing quickly. Ready below on his turn.))
Looking at the thugs bleeding, the crows flying around, and his new companions attack anything that moves Usul, will think to himself "This got pretty ******* crazy fast..."Though he understands the desire to stop the thugs, going straight to murder would not have been his first option. Instead he'll run into the ally towards the kid that the thugs were harassing, grab him, say "Let's get the hell outa here!" and then cast minor illusion just up the ally to appear as something that would fit; crates, a pile of trash, barrels... whatever. He'll then pull the kid and himself to huddle in the illusion.
Though not fully hidden exactly, at least they will be unseen.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The overwhelming smell of a roast comes wafting into the alleyway, catching everyone offguard.
The first thug, who had been attacked viciously by Veryes, pulls himself to his feet and rushes the halfling, swinging at her with his mace 7 to attack, 3 for damage if it hits.
The second thug tries to break free from the grapple, rolling a 18 to try to escape, I need an opposed strength athletics check from Crush to see if he keeps him in place.
Crush is up next regardless of the outcome of the grapple check.
EDIT: the roll on Veryes was a crit so adding another damage dice to the attack: 4 so 4 damage total on the crit. Ha.
Both of the mastiffs turn away from the fight and go off in search of this roast. I'll have them make WIS saves every round to see if they can save out of this effect, like they're charmed. Crush is up (noting for myself for when I reread the thread)

(Sorry I missed the post!)
Crush will try to keep a hold of the thug (athletics 23), feeling his grip loosen, the orc would quickly draw his handaxes and take two swings at the thug he had been holding.
(You are correct, I didn't see that at the bottom. If you use the combat tab when rolling your attacks it calculates crit damage automatically for you so you don't have to add it later.)
Crush drops the thug he has been restraining and slashes him twice, dealing 11 damage total. Seeing an opening, Usul dashes into the scene and grabs one of the boys by the wrist and runs deeper down the alleyway with him, creating an image of a pile of crates overflowing with empty bottles and assorted junk for the two of them to hide behind. The other boy remains in the middle of the conflict, confused and frightened.
Sen looks from the crows to the thugs and then back again. What is going on here? Why are the crows behaving so strangely. He considers trying to scare them off, but they seem so intent on attacking. Most peculiar. What can I do to help? Definitely not attack. Distract, then? Or maybe. Ah, yes, good idea. He notices Usul grab one of the boys and move him away to hide, and attempts the same. He moves to grab the boy, pulls him into the small dark alcove where he had been hiding, crouches down and casts Minor Illusion to form the image of a small, dark, and empty alcove, right in front of them.
Sen grabs the other boy and casts his own illusion, so now both boys are relatively hidden from their attackers. I need a perception check from Sen since your passive perception isn't very high.
The dogs are up, but because they were charmed/distracted by Alexandra on her turn, I'm going to have them miss this round.

Attack: 9 Damage: 6
Attack: 15 Damage: 8
(Also, I don't wanna be that guy but the thug crit the halfling so there should be another d6 added to the damage I believe)
Oh, I didn't notice that. You're right though. This is gonna hurt :)

I did roll twice: a 3 on the initial attack and a 1 on the crit for 4 altogether. It wasn't the best round for him.

Ooc: I had still missed it though so need to take another point off. I didn't see the note on the note on the bottom. Adjusting now

Sen's Perception: 19
As Sen and the boy huddle behind the illusion he cast, he sees that the boy is clutching a small coin purse, his hands shaking.
