Brats
Brats steps forward, turning toward his group. "Let me sneak in, see if I can get a better view of what is going on up ahead!"
I would like to attempt to move stealthily (Stealth: 18) along the cave wall toward the cut out to see if I can notice anything of interest (Perception: 20).

I would like to attempt to move stealthily (Stealth: 17) along the cave wall toward the cut out to see if I can notice anything of interest (Perception: 11).
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where two wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
I am going to move up the steps and get a peak to what's at the top and avoid going toward the wolves that are further down.
You can not see much from where you're standing and you're going to have to make your way past the angry wolves. The fissure is opposite the steps. You can tell the fissure necks down near the top.
Brats, getting a general layout of what is in the opening of the cave returns back to the group, explaining what he has seen. "Alright guys, so the immediate inside of the cave doesn't look too bad, it smells like 14 day old dead goblins, but all I saw was a couple wolves. There are some steps, but I wasn't able to see any further, you know, because of the wolves and everything. There is also a fissure on the other side of the cave but I'm not sure it leads anywhere. Ideas anyone?" Brats asks, looking around the group for suggestions.
[OOC: The wolves aren't considered small beasts right? Edit: Oh, I misread the layout, that's ok.]
"Thanks, Nyana. I owe you one," he says quietly.Turning to the group, he adds, "My eyes are good, but I can't see in the dark. I have torches and a lantern. Have we given up on any pretense of stealth?"
Brats chuckles as he lets off a grin. "I can certainly try, I'm going to need you to stay close incase there is more in that room than just the wolves. I couldn't get a good view."

Ny steps forward. "Before we start killing animals who are chained to the wall maybe we should try something else. Perhaps you could create an illusion in front of them to make them unable to see us?" Turning to Petros. "Would you happen to have a charm to put someone to sleep? Or a spell to incapacitate them?"

Brats pokes his temple then at Ny. "That would probably be the first thing to try. However they are right in front of the door. I'm not sure I can conjure up something large enough to distract both of them. Any other ideas?"
"Suddenly we're animal lovers? ...Does Brats' squirrel need a pet, now?" "Be my guest, but I can't help anyone with anything in there without a torch."
Brats, grins at Pops. "Iris could use a friend. Would you like to be his friend?" Brats giggles then remembers that he has a torch. "Here Pops! Lead the way!" Brats hands the torch to Pops. "Let's explore the cave and see how long we can avoid the wolves."
To Nyana "I do not have any way to put these two beasts to sleep...I do have some rather incapacitating stories but I am not too sure I could keep their attention. These two beasts are on chains. Is there any way to simply stay close to the wall and stroll right on by. Or maybe they are hungry. Do you think we could distract them with food? Dead Goblin?"
OOC: I do have a cantrip Dancing Lights. I could try to distract them with the flames.
Pops grabs the torch and a goblin head in one hand, and lugs a headless corpse under his other arm, and heads into the cave. "I've got the dog food. We should get going."
