Petros calls out to the crossbow wielder. The bard insults him and he reacts. 8"Boy, I -uh I, you're the warthog!" The insult lands and the Redbrand is taken aback.
Pops slides into the room and draws his blades. Both blades slice into the Redbrand and he screams out as blood begins to coat the floor.
Redbrand 2 watches in horror as Sven destroys his partner into a bloody mess. "**** this!" Redbrand 1 disengages and takes off running out the door. He will make it to just inside the north door of the crypt.
Pops rushes after the fleeing Redbrand, pushing blades into the youngsters kidneys. He screams out is he slides off the blades, dead on the cold stone floor. In this hallway is a locked steel barred door. The door is locked from the outside. Looking in, you can see racks of weapons line the walls of this chamber, including spears, swords, crossbows, and bolts. A dozen dirty red cloaks hang from hooks by the door. (The weapon racks hold twelve spears, six shortswords, four longswords, six light crossbows, and eight quivers holding twenty crossbow bolts each.)
Back in the holding cell, the woman is clutching the young girl, shielding her from the mess created in the room by Sven. The young boy, by himself in the cell, is crying in the corner.
Petros approaches the woman and girl. "It looks like you two could use some assistance. How long have you been down here?" Petros will play with the locks to see if he can free the captives. He looks around the room, through the pile of dirty clothes for anything that might prove useful in his efforts.
Sven looks to the prisoners and frowns. "I'm sorry you had to see that..." and starts to trail off and looks away from them ashamed that he made them watch that violence.
Pops will find a key on the Redbrand and bring it into the cell. Pops hands the key over to Petros, who is able to unlock the holding cells.
The mother intrudes herself as Mirna Dendrar. She gestures to the young woman, "this is Nilsa my daughter and my son here is Nars. My husband, Thel, I fear he may be dead. Thel came home after a day of work saying he was refusing to pay the Redbrands any gold. I feared retaliation and I believe I was right. The next day, Thel did not return from work. Later that night, the Redbrands entered our home and brought the three of us here. They would not tell me what they did with him."
Mirna begins to break down and starts to cry after being freed. Nars trys to console his mother. "I - we don't have much to give you for rescuing us. When I was a young girl, my family and I had to flee from the town of Thundertree. Hordes of undead overran the town. Those that did not leave were killed. My family had an herb and alchemy shop in the city. Before we left, my father hid a case inside the shop beneath a section of storage shelves. Inside the case is an emerald necklace. I never dared to return and retrieve it. The shop was in the southeast part of Thundertree. I haven't been there since we had left. I have heard stories the city is overrun with the undead."
"Aye, I see where your coming from Pops, it may not be the worst idea. But if we do are we coming back here or headed back to the god forsaken goblin pit? We also forego any chance of catching these brutal bastards by surpise if we leave... What do you say?"
"Lord knows I would like nothing more than to head back, grab an ale and spend my afternoon fending off the local female population, but, this may be our only chance at Glasstaff. Mirna, how more many men do you suppose Glasstaff has at his disposal?"
"Arright. I'm willing to push a little further. Let's learn what we can from Mirna and Nars, and figure out a way to get them out of here, or at least safe." "Mirna, Nars, do you have any training in combat?"

Mirna tells you that she has seen 4 different Redbrands that have kept watch, including the ones you all just finished off. She's not totally sure how many are here. She has not been here for long and tells you they entered in the front and then has to walk over a plank in a hallway. They have been no deeper in the manor.

Mirna says she does not. Nars is all of about 8 years old. He starts to say that he can take them all before his mother hushes him. She apologizes for not wanting to fight and wishes to just return home.

Pops
Pops describes the route they took to their cells, in case the two freed prisoners want to escape on their own. "You can stay in the cells for safety - unlocked - if you'd rather wait for us to escort you back."
"...I think this day is going to get a bit longer. Ny, you still with us? You guys ready?"
Pops examines the door on the north of the skeleton room. He checks for traps and listens at it. Perception: 17
