The bumps from his companions break Grimbeard's concentration. He isn't sure what he sees on the rickety bridge. He signals to his companions, putting a finger up to his mouth to keep them quiet. He then creeps forward at a very slow pace, making sure that his footsteps and movements do not give away his position to any potential onlookers. He keeps his eye on the bridge, listening out for any signs of an enemy.

After the collision, Grimbeard’s hand signal and close attention to the path ahead draw Ivolyn’s concern. As the dwarf eases ahead, Ivolyn concentrates on forming a mental map of their cave-delving thus far and memorizing it - a study technique she picked up during her time at the Arcane Conservatory. 

Umbutu mentally curses the darkness and nocks an arrow to his bow, watching Grimbeard until he is out of sight.

((Ivolyn continues hiding the light until Grimbeard says it is clear to do otherwise.  The mental map is what they have traversed so far, which isn’t much, but she will continue to concentrate on this as they go. Ivolyn hopes the result is to find their way out.))

Hearing the  cacophony of the released water descending upon the group, Ivolyn brandishes the lit stone toward the smaller tunnel across the stream. If the smaller tunnel slopes to a higher elevation, she will traverse the stream (hopefully before the flood). If the only elevation is ahead, she will dash up, looking to clamber up on something out of reach of the water.

Umbutu reacts instinctively, attempting to clamber up the wall of the cave if it is possible to do so.

 "It goes up," she says to her companions as she shines the light-stone toward the tunnel entrance and begins to cross the water, hoping to keep her footing. 

Grimbeard sees the water rushing at him. He instantly reacts by jumping/diving across the stream into the the tunnel that leads west.

Maive freezes when he sees the water, but quickly snaps out of it and follows Ivolyn.

Ivolyn holds the light stone up and throws light onto Maive and Grimbeard before covering it with her palm.

”Umbutu and Lorskan!? Did they not make it?” Using as little light as possible Ivolyn hurries down the tunnel to look for their companions. 

Drenched to the bone, Umbutu staggers in the direction of Ivolyn's voice. "Lorskan is missing?"

Returning to his feet, Grimbeard witnesses the arrow nearly miss Umbutu. He yells to him, "Umbutu! Over here! Hurry".

While keeping an eye on Umbutu he says to Ivolyn and Maive "The water might have washed Lorskan downstream".

Umbutu sighs and stays close to the cavern walls. "They don't give up, do they?"
