As the party rests, Hildigrim comes out of his mental stall and begins to barrage Hyll with questions pertaining to hags; their desire to be what most of the natural world would consider ugly; how she was cursed; how the curse appears to have not only affected her, but her home as well; what her name is when she doesn't have her current appearance; how she plans to undo the curse; do hags often eat babies or lure children with gingerbread houses?; do all hags invite snicklets to stay with them in their houses? ... and about a hundred other questions.
OOC: I don't expect you to answer any of these ... unless some knowledge will be helpful later.
Once the party is at the edge of the grove, Hildigrim pulls out the vibrating vial of fluid and eyes it before looking at the others. "So, as I understand it, we're supposed to drink these and then jump into the moonwell?" He looks doubtful.
Previous: Ater Hildigrim realizes that this hag won't hurt him, he starts to pester her with questions. Over the course of an hour, he wears her down enough to get some of his answers.
(This is in Spoilers, but anyone can read it. Most of this is in the module, but only as role-playing flavor, not something vital to know.)
Hildigrim... begins to barrage Hyll with questions pertaining to hags:
their desire to be what most of the natural world would consider ugly - "Can't help how many wrong-headed people are out there."
how she was cursed - "Was cursed by High Lady Ordalf of Sarifal, when the Court of Stars banished grandmother hag Urphania for dread deeds in the Feywild. All members of the Gloaming Court that were captured were punished."
how the curse appears to have not only affected her, but her home as well - "Somehow, all my deeds and spells and words are turning out cheery and helpful... Pardon me, I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about it."
what her name is when she doesn't have her current appearance - "Doesn't matter, when I look like this and my "sisters" can't stand to be around me."
how she plans to undo the curse - "Ordalf cursed me with the beauty and demeanor of a nymph until such time as “the mask becomes the face.” But so far, the drawing on the bag isn't working. Maybe a few days more..."
do hags often eat babies or lure children with gingerbread houses? - "Not as much as I would like. Mmm... tasty... And not at all since the curse."
do all hags invite snicklets to stay with them in their houses? - "Snicklet is the name of one of theQuicklings that I use for servants. Those and the Boggles are handy for errands, like bringing you lot here."
Once the party is at the edge of the grove, Hildigrim pulls out the vibrating vial of fluid and eyes it before looking at the others. "So, as I understand it, we're supposed to drink these and then jump into the moonwell?" He looks doubtful.
(You don't have to drink the vial in order to jump in the moonwell. It was just a suggestion, as moving over 4x your normal movement makes it more likely you will reach your objective before being overrun by enemies. If you have a different plan, or would like to fight it out, you don't have to follow Hyll's advice.)

"Yes. Drink, run, jump, and if the quickling is to be humored, make a quip along the way. Then, we see what is before us inside. And this," Quillary indicates the strange torch she was given, "Is to help, somehow, once we are there."
"I am ready," she pops the top off her vial.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
(I am assuming that Pascal was using Control Flame to diminish the torch. Otherwise, you would be very noticeable, with a flame near the grove.
Also, will everyone be using their action to Disengage, and a straight run to the moonwell? To avoid passing within 5' of the werewolves or the misshapen woman will require more than 120' of movement, so it is possible if you Dash instead of using Disengage. If you wish to do something different, let me know.)
Drusk will make a check to see if there is something obviously wrong with that misshapen woman. Nature: 4 (or if it is History, add 2) Edit: He doesn't notice anything.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quillary will quietly tap her cudgel on her cat skull and cast Shillelagh, then prepare to run straight at the moonwell, expecting to Disengage and jump in, this after taking the potion, of course. She will try to approach as quietly and swiftly as possible, but when noticed will try to cluster the enemy near her (so that her more squishy companions maybe face fewer of them?) with a big yell.
In preparation for this, while hiding in the bushes, she will scan the ground ahead for any oddnesses, no good will come of falling in a concealed pit trap or the like.
Perception: 11
Edit: Well, that wasn't great. Might as well pre-roll Stealth, too.
Hildigrim's disengage is a bonus action, so if he sees anyone needing any kind of help, he will do it.
(OOC: I was thinking it was a shame that no one would have the opportunity to give a wedgie, like Quicksilver did in the X-Men movie, but then I realized Hildigrim still has his Action.)

"I am a bit uneasy about jumping into such a sorcerous pool, but the potential for battle on the side makes me feel better." Jorin says before spitting on the ground, popping the potion, and running out the moonwell.
You have your potions ready, and try to inch closer before needing to use them. You hear creaking from the trees on either side of you. Looking up, the trees are bending towards you and reaching with long gnarled branches like claws. You notice now that all the trees around the grove, dozens of them, are swaying and moving. The corrupted magics of the grove have changed the plants into Awakened Trees.
This alerts the werewolves to your presence, and they lope towards you. The misshapen woman looks at your group. With a clearer view, Quillary recognizes her (by previous description) as a warped version of Llyneth. The Kauth-possessed figure twitches and bulges, becoming larger. The woman is replaced by a beast that resembles a tyrannosaurus rex.
Before the situation gets any worse, you consume the jumpy draughts. You feel your heart racing in your chest. (This can’t be healthy.) When you start running for the moonwell, the trees and stones all become a blur. You can barely make out the look of surprise on Kauth’s (dinosaur) face before you plunge into the mists of the moonwell. With each comment by your group, it becomes more frustrated and angry, but it can't move fast enough to stop you. (Everyone is Disengaging, so there are no attacks of opportunity against you.)
Drusk's imagination is limited, so he says "Meep meep!" and deliberately kicks up a cloud of dust near one of the werewolves.
All party members can make "parting comments" before entering the moonwell.

Hildigrim waves his wand like mad, and a crazy staccato melody accompanies his quick steps. "Why can't you hear a pterodactyl using the bathroom? Because the 'p' is silent."
The party jumps into the moonwell. It should be like a pool of water (and not be fog-enclosed), but you remain dry. You have the sensation of falling upwards at great speed for several seconds, then you are standing on solid ground. The vertigo from the fall into the moonwell stops, and the light of your hag-torch pushes back the fog, allowing you to see about 20 feet. (Whenever the torch-bearer moves, the fog-free space moves with them.) Beyond that, it’s impenetrable fog in all directions. There are no signs of the grove, the enemy, or the Eye. The ground is chalky with tuffs of grass. The air is thick with moisture and the smell of dew. A haunting wind groans in the distance.
Nearby are a set of four large white stones set together to create a small covered space, with three stone being walls and the last lying flat to make the roof. You can make out a path that leads from the stones off into the mist.

“It would seem we follow the path,” Quillary notes. She will stay towards the front with the hag torch, but not the very front. She’d like to see as far ahead as possible, but not be the first to get an arrow out of the fog. For the record, I guess, she has stowed her shield do she can wield club and torch.
