You can feel the house groaning and creaking, as if it was alive, horribly alive. The cultists’ chant changes: “Lorghoth the Decayer, we awaken thee!” This chant rouses a horrific abominations from the refuse pile - it rises, and a shambling mound slowly approaches and attacks. “The end comes! Death, be praised!”

Shambling Mound: 3

It approaches. Very slowly. You can tell this is a very formidable opponent.

"A shit pile? We fight ghasts, and ghouls, and shadows, and your champion is a shit pile? I'm actually disappointed."

Winter was taken a back at the apparitions and their chanting, unclipping her crossbow from her belt readying a shot but quickly realized that it would be fruitless... Until the mound moved.

'Probably already have' Orilo thought just as the groaning house above prompts him to look up in confusion. Then he felt it. A wrongness in the world that has him spinning and craning his head up a little just to take it in. "Stay on guard." He warns one last time.

Elya strides up to the pile of garbage, beginning her rage, and then whacks it recklessly.

Anborn tosses a Guiding Bolt at the Shambling Mound.

Corrin grasps his amulet and calls down divine sacred flame at the moving mudpit.

The shot that was originally for the ghosts now gets shot at the creature.

Orilo finds it in himself not to try and immediately smack at the creature, but rather try holding its attention stepping off to the side of it, hammering his shield with his fist. His hope more than anything being to help make Winters next shot a clean. Even if he found himself on the receiving end of Anborn's wayward spell, he just grits his teeth and bears with it. Even draws a measure of morbid comfort in the familiar feeling radiance.

Elya's swing goes just a bit wild as Anborn's guiding bolt misfires on his person and explodes in a holy nova of spiritual backfire. Everyone but Anborn and the Mound takes 3 points of damage.

Corrin fires off his own spell, here's the save DC12 1 The creature is hit magnificently, literally not moving at all.

Well that was terrible.

Ever so slowly, the shambling mound advances on Elya. You can sense this beast is a deadly foe. Proceed with caution!

Seeing the mound approach, Elya takes an overhand swing down at the mud monster, recklessly.

Anborn feels something go wrong with the spell as he fires it, and sure enough, it misfires, hitting everyone that he didn't want to hit. "Sorry, won't happen again." Now Ice Queen isn't the only one that's responsible for hurting an ally. He thinks.
