With Elya's last attacks, Sangzor finally goes down. After a few tense moments with everyone catching their breath, both shadowy creatures slowly melt back into the ground leaving terrible shadow stains where they once were.
Leo breathes a sigh of relief, knowing two great evils of the land have finally been taken care of.
"Any time, Winter. I'm trying out this whole 'not being a shit' thing. Feels kind of good, if I'm being honest." Anborn reaches into his coat pocket and pulls Molly out so that he can take a look at her. "Well, at least one of us got out of this unscathed." He says as he slowly goes into a sitting position on the ground. "So, how about we rest up tonight and go to Yester Hill tomorrow to kill some Strahd worshippers and stop the creation of more monsters?"

"That's a shame. I don't think people will be too eager to come here, even if we do tell them that we killed the beasts. I think we should head for the Bonegrinder, since if the hags are sacrificing children, they need to be stopped as quickly as possible. We should rest quickly and begin heading over as soon as possible."
"If it means anything," Winter says as she reclasps her crossbow onto her belt, glancing over to Anborn who now currently sits on the floor. "I think you're doing an okay job at it." The rogue watches him take out Molly, a small smile tugging itself on her lips before falling. I'll let him hold onto her for a little longer, I suppose. Winter joins the cleric on the floor, listening to Elya and him speak. "I'm sure they will realize in due time that some brave heroes had slain the beasts for them. Do we all want to set up camp here or...?"

"We camp here."Orilo says certainly, coming out of a self-imposed vow of silence to watch the creatures melt away... though after seeing to Corrin first! While he never openly apologizes, the usual method of a harsh slap to share some of his divine spirit with the halfling had been set aside for a lighter touch. "The other towers are defensible enough. Should be anyways."He finally turns to the others. "Then its to the bonegrinder. Gr-... Elya has a point. And we can stop by Vallaki to resupply if need be. Any... objections."Orilo says morosely near the end.

Bruised and battered, Corrin gingerly touches his ribs, “Ouch.” The halfling moves To the edge of camp, plopping down and letting out a pained sigh. He pulls his amulet from around his neck and looks into a bit forlornly speaking quietly, “What mess have you gotten me into, Lady? You’re going to get me killed...and I honestly am in no hurry to meet you personally.” The halfling glares at the amulet quietly for a bit then pulls it back on, holding it close to him with both hands and muttering quietly to himself, possibly in prayer.

Before allowing himself to get too far, he pats Corrin again on the shoulder, healing him the brief contact(20 HP Lay on Hands). "We'll need watches as well. The Old Svalich Road transitions here from being a winding path through the Balinok Mountains to a lazy trail that hugs the mountainside as it descends into a fog-filled valley. In the heart of the valley you see a walled town near the shores of a great mountain lake, its waters dark and still. A branch in the road leads west to a promontory, atop which is perched a dilapidated stone windmill, its warped wooden vanes stripped bare.
"There it is.."Leo says.
The onion-domed edifice leans forward and to one side, as though trying to turn away from the stormy gray sky. You see gray brick walls and dirt-covered windows on the upper floors. A decrepit wooden platform encircles the windmill above a flimsy doorway leading to the building’s interior. Perched on a wooden beam above the door is a raven. It hops about and squawks at you, seemingly agitated. It is strangely quiet.
Anborn looks at this odd uppity raven. "I don't suppose that any of you know how to talk to animals? Maybe you'd know if this thing is trying to warn us or just beg for some bird seed."

"More than likely warning. Hard to say. Could even be a familiar for the ones we seek."Orilo climbs off his mount, giving it a few pats along the side her face. The giant goat -- who upon being summoned from his shadows the morning earlier, startling folk into nearly killing it -- grunts in disapproval, yet doesn't pull away. "Easy now, Stone Cutter."The half-goliath chuckles one last time at the Giant blue-eyed goat of smoke and shadows.
"But we cannot retreat. The real question is whether or not we kick in the door, or someone wishes to 'scout' ahead." At some unspoken command Stone Cutter starts a circuit about the windmill searching for other signs of egress, or trouble.
Oddly quiet for once, Corrin continues clutching his amulet, muttering to himself before finally looking up to survey the land. "And let's do better, OK?" he says a bit louder before tucking the amulet necklace back into his shirt. Looking about to the others, he says, "What now?"

Corrin: As you put the amulet away, you feel a small surge of power coursing through the back of your mind, as if an idea in your head is just itching at you. You try to shake it, but it's almost impossible to do so. What a strange sensation. You have this crazy urge to just..do something wild, and unexpected.
(The next time you do one thing that is completely "out of character, dangerous, and very reckless", you get a +10 on the roll, no matter what it is you're doing, then the feeling fades.)

Seeing the old structure, Elya raises her maul absentmindedly, as though she was going to knock the entire building down. Suddenly she seems to flinch, and shakes her head, "If the bird is trying to warn us, then we're probably in the right place. I will go first. If you want to find cover, do it now."
As soon as everyone hides to their satisfaction, Elya swings her maul at the door, attempting to smash it to splinters.
