Isuzu's tale terrified Jakcoo, he silently goes back to helping her with their task but stays surprisingly quiet. Over the next couple of days, he will be her silent partner. Not speaking, barely even looking her way. From time to time, you will hear him silently hum that song you have sung to him as if it's a worm in his brain. When he realizes what he's doing he will stop, only to start again sometime later...

Percival will attempt to approach Isuzu during a moment when she's not working (I assume that even she must take a break at some point) and speak to her. My family has traditionally worshiped Aureon and I don't know too much about other gods. It's an area that I'm regrettably weak in."

Sylrie squinted, "I don't know, maybe, but he seemed almost as shocked or surprised. Say, why did you join the navy?"
“To serve Aundair, of course. I’ve always loved the water, and I’m a brat of a squid. My father served a Her Majesty’s Navy before I was born.” Hills says with pride. “Why, are you looking to switch branches?” She’ll ask with a chuckle.
As you look out in to the sea you see a Pod of Plesiosaurs feed off the corpse of a sperm whale in the distance, the large creature eating the even larger creature, make a bloody pool in the water.
"No, I'm not thinking of switching. This is where I need to be in order to join Her Majesty's royal guard." Sylrie lowered the binoculars with his mage hand, bringing it inside the wind cloak to rest in his actual hands. "You said Served, has your father retired then Hills?"
"He is, gave his six (6) years all on the Kingsman, under Captain Liltain. Well, now Admiral Liltain. He now works in Fairhaven." She pulls the binoculars up and looks out at the bay. "That's disgusting, they're really tearing into that thing!"
She spots the plesiosaurs and pulls her nocs back down. "Her Majesty's Royal Guard, eh? Do you think you're cut out for that? Lots of hard work and hours will go into becoming one of her Royal Guard. Boring job though, all show."

His wound ached, reminding him that he still had a long way to go until he could be by his Queen's side.

"Your cousin is living a life I've dreamed about for more years than I care to admit, despite his oddness I am sure if he's in the Queen's guard he has proven himself."
"This war has a way of making you prove yourself, and to see if you are found wanting. Hopefully, when it is your time you shine, my friend." She becomes quiet as she gazes towards the setting sun, the moons on high already pouring out more light than the birth star.

Sylrie nodded, "I intend to, I bet your father is proud of you Hillsy" he smiled at the girl, then willed his mage hand to begin rubbing the sore muscles around the wound on his shoulder, wincing only a little as the hand brushed against the wound accidentally, as he shifted his weight again and began watching the horizon for threats once again.
Percival will attempt to approach Isuzu during a moment when she's not working (I assume that even she must take a break at some point) and speak to her. "So earlier, you mentioned that you were a servant of the Keeper. If you don't mind, could you let me know more about him? My family has traditionally worshiped Aureon and I don't know too much about other gods. It's an area that I'm regrettably weak in."
Isuzu
Taking a break from her dirty and grueling labor... Isuzu is quickly found on the ship's top deck leaning her back against the rail as the wind blows with little effect on her sweat-drenched and matted hair, her face covered with beads of perspiration that flow down her face. A glossy sheen like morning dew covers the exposed areas of her body's pale skin giving it an appearance of white polished marble.
As Percival draws closer he may or may not notice that there is something unsettling about the smell surrounding her and a nearby bucket. As he speaks to her... Isuzu looks up at him listening passively and simply responds by speaking the words, "Valar Morghulis."
Isuzu smiles and shakes her head as she speaks softly, "a follower of Aureon god of law and knowledge comes seeking information regarding the Keeper, how very poetic. I won't even bother to inquire about the reason behind your sudden interest but I am somewhat surprised a family who worships the god of knowledge being so remiss in your education. Surely your family employed well-paid tutors to educate one who would someday be an heir."
The Reaper quickly motions with her hand for Percival to sit down beside her, "no need to answer, I am teasing. So what is it then about the Keeper that you specifically wish to know that you cannot find in some musty old tome or have not heard already for I have no wish to insult your intelligence by telling you something you already know."
"Earlier you mentioned that you serve the Keeper. What exactly does that entail? Do you help those who are near death pass on? Do you serve as an assassin? Destroy the undead? I suppose that I'm curious about the workings of your religion."

Isuzu smiles, "perhaps once I have passed beyond the mortal veil myself I might achieve that honor and become a true Reaper... but no, nothing so grandiose or important, I am like yourself... a mere mortal. Neither am I specifically an assassin or do I go out of my way to destroy the undead. I merely serve Death as instructed by my superiors. Sometimes one such as myself may be tasked with a special quest in the Keeper’s name. This could consist of killing someone or something specific, usually with a Keeper’s fang weapon but could also revolve around discovering or uncovering some mystery or acquiring an item of great value. Primarily those like me... we just simply wait... and observe."
Isuzu shrugs, "nothing that would be of interest to a great warrior such as yourself I fear. I lead a very mundane and boring life as you are no doubt aware given the amount of time that we have served together thus far so there is very little I have seen that you have not."
"Perhaps. But you've seen the city of Passage before and I hope that after all of this is finished, you can give me a tour of the city in earnest. That would be of significant interest to me."

Still, your mention of Passage has me curious now as we have only just departed and no doubt it will be some time before we find our way back, if at all."
Suddenly, Isuzu turns her to gaze to the bucket near where they are sitting and looks back at Percival and smiles, "but then a gentleman interested in a lady no doubt would seize upon any means or look for any excuse to be near a woman he might be interested in... especially if he was curious to discover what she was observing that he is not. Maybe you are just not looking in the right places, Percival. Sometimes one has to get their hands dirty to truly learn something new about the world and those in it."
That said Isuzu stands up and grabs her bucket to head back to work looking down at Percival, "I am sorry but my break is over and I must get back to work now. I would not want my co-worker to toil alone and feel abandoned. Misery loves company, as they say. Perhaps we can talk more another time and I will be able to tell you more about the Keeper. With a twirl, Isuzu strides off leaving to Percival to consider her words and her dinner invitation...
Percival returns to his quarters and he spends the next few hours thinking about what Isuzu had said. He certainly didn't recall meeting anyone related to Isuzu, whether they were a daughter of House Orien or a worshiper of the Keeper. He also didn't understand why her sister took so much interest in him. He wouldn't say that he was particularly braver than anyone else in Greywind. Kora had kept Jonathan from going overboard when she herself was dangling with one hand. Kash had killed the Sahuagin priestess as well as the Baron, and Isuzu had taken the time to rescue any crew members who fell overboard. With that in mind, he came down to the mess hall and searched for Isuzu. It wasn't that hard considering that she tended to eat by herself. "Good evening.
