"Disappointed, eh? I suppose that there's only one way to find out if I'll gain satisfaction from this, but at the very least we will have had the chance to speak and dine together. However, as you predicted, I do have a few questions for you. Let's start out with something simple, shall we? Those goggles on your head, who gave them to you? I merely ask because I don't recall too many instances where I've seen you without them, so I assume that they must have been given by someone who is dear to you."

Her face remains as enigmatic as ever as without uttering a word Isuzu reaches up and pulls off her goggles and hands them to the warrior to examine, an inscription on them reads, 'Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal' -Baron Kwanti d'Orien.
The young nobleman reads the inscription on the goggles. "How sweet. It sounds like the Baron was a bit of a poet. It's a wonderful gift, Isuzu. Am I correct in assuming that you and your father got along together?"

Reaching out Isuzu takes the goggles back and returns them to their place on her head as she responds to Percival's question, "our relationship was and shall always remain complicated... so you are free to assume whatever you wish regarding my esteemed father. However, I urge to withhold such until you have met him for yourself in person."
that is of a personal manner, friend. And, have you never heard of magic? There are spells to translate dreams, to send dreams, to modify and message through dreams! At any chance now, nature itself could send you a foretelling of a disaster in your dreams, and you wouldn’t know, as you never act upon them.
"Very well. I will make no further assumptions about your father until I meet him in person, even though I doubt that I shall be in the presence of the Baron any time soon. I won't ask any further questions about your father, unless you feel comfortable with me doing so. But I do have more questions to ask of you. Outside of our conversations, you don't seem too inclined to speak with anyone in the company. Why is that?"

"I have always spoken to all those who have spoken to me first... in kind. Rather I think you are asking why it is I have chosen to be all chummy with just yourself and not the others in the company."Isuzu smiles at Percival as she reaches out and takes his hand into her own, "perhaps I am just enamored with you, I am sure I would not be the first or the last. Ask yourself why you of all the others have taken such an interest in me, investing such time and effort into delving in my past... where the others have not? But to be fair, I am not that interesting am I?"
Isuzu slowly draws her hand away and brings her forefinger to lightly touch her lips as she smiles at Percival and whispers, "ask yourself but do not tell me, unlike you I enjoy surprises. Still, I must admit that I do find myself sometimes wondering what brought you to the attention of my sister all those years ago when she was driven half-mad, why does my dear sweet sister find you so fascinating, why did she send me to join this specific company, the war... just to find you and observe? Perhaps the kalashtar's quori-wyrm has some insight... as I said before, maybe you are not looking in the right place, speaking to the right person. Ask Kora if the quori sing? If you are lucky, perhaps she will sing for you! And if you are lucky, it will not drive you to madness."
"I think you underrate yourself. Each of our conversations leaves me with new questions. And I find that quite interesting, more than most things that I've studied. For instance, I've spent the last few hours thinking about what you said in regards to your sister and why she would tell you to seek out someone that had never crossed her path, a bookish. Aureon-worshiping boy who lived in the lap of luxury, having nothing that his father didn't give him. Personally, I don't think that I am more noteworthy or destined for greatness than any other member of Greywind, other than the fact that I'm the heir apparent of a noble house. I'm not any braver than anyone, nor stronger, nor do I love Aundair more than any of you. I think that Sylrie might actually have us all beat in that last department, but don't tell him that I said that." Percival smiles playfully at Isuzu after that last comment.
"I'll ask Kora if the quori sing, although I'm not sure if she'll understand the question. But if I survive this war, I'll have to make sure to visit your sister at some point, so that I may get a chance to speak with her and hopefully we can both learn why you came to this company and why the Keeper showed her a vision of me. At the very least, it seems that she might like to meet me as well."
Isuzu smiles, "is a torch brave because it lights the way? Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else. If life brings you full circle, pay attention. There's a lesson there to be learned.”
Isuzu stands up and presses her ice cold lips against Percival's cheek, "thank you for dinner Percival, I must be off to bed, tomorrow will be another early work day for me. It is a thankless dirty job but someone must do it. Goodnight."
That said Isuzu once again leaves Percival alone to ponder the meaning of her words as she heads off to bed...
"See? Once again you leave me with something to think about. You're not as uninteresting as you claim to be." He says with a smile. She'd be terribly disappointed if I actually told her why I took an interest in her. It's not too terribly complex, first out of courtesy, then curiosity. She's a rather taciturn young woman. Details about her past do not come as freely as it does from the others. But still, why not the others? Am I the only one who has curiosities about Isuzu? He figures that he can ask Kora about that tomorrow along with the inquiry about the Quori. He thought about Isuzu's words about him not going mad if he was lucky and then thought about whether Kora would think him mad for such a line of inquiry. He makes sure to write down the words that Isuzu said to him in his journal before he goes to sleep.
So that I don't forget it when all is said and done.

Kora looks troubled, "With so many ways to influence the dreams you see, how do you know which are true? Which to believe? How do you know when your dream is just a dream, and not a sending of import? I... I do not dream, Johnathon, so I am honestly curious."

Occasionally when he's got free time the mInotaur will wander up on the deck and just hang out in the open breeze enjoying it blow through his fur. He will make polite chat with the crew members but try to stay out of their way. He watches the horizon looking for signs of their port of call and uses this down time to continue trying to crack the puzzle of his new powers coursing through his veins.
Kora looks up and smiles as Percival comes up at breakfast. "Good morning, Percival," she says. Her hair is tightly bound, and she is dressed for weapons practice, breaking her fast with a light meal.
She listens to his question, "So, this will probably sound strange, but Isuzu told me to ask you if the Quori sing," and then invites him to sit. "Do the Quori sing?" Kora says, with a small smile. "Honestly, I imagine they do, though I only know the one, Shali, with whom I am bonded. She definitely sings, but they are songs of battle, longing for the blood of the Tsoreva, the Mindblades." Her eyes seek the middle distance a moment, then she shakes it off.
"But I would expect that you would know the answer better than I. Have you dreamed? And have the creatures in your dreams sung? If so, then yes, the Quori sing, for they visit dreams when they like."
She looks at him frankly. "Why would you know? Or has Isuzu sent you to ask curious questions of all of Greywind?"
"There isn't too much singing in my dreams, but there's enough to confirm that the Quori sing, apparently. That was the only thing that Isuzu told me to ask. We had an interesting conversation yesterday and she told me that the Quori might be able to give me some answers to the questions that I had for her." Percival shrugs and wonders if he truly is going mad, because Kora must be thinking that he is right now.

The evening of the fourth (4) night leads to darkness, up in the crow's nest with Hilla, Sylrie stares off in the distance underneath the waxing and waning of the many moons of Eberron.
"Aye, he is proud. Tells me all the time in letters and portdraws." Hilla says as she goes silently into her job on watch.
Down below on the deck, the mages are setting their wards around the ship, making sure to check them and double check them. Those in the area would see Jakcoo walking with his brother taking notes, his face seemed to have lost its cheer over the past couple days. Maybe his punishment got to him, maybe it was something else.
Sarge is below deck playing three dragon ante with Master Killingsworth, Master Rigaby and the Captain. Men and women are gathered around the table watching an epic showdown of four (4) masters of the game. So far, Killingsworth has the largest nest of eggs. Arya is playing the lute in the corner of this cabin, singing beautifully rearranged ballads of Aundarian composer Muza Zartlot. A few sailors are doing Aundarian battle dances to the songs, as she pulls out a bow and starts playing the lute as if it was a violin.
On the third deck, the stable warden Si'Dell is down with the animals. Eyes closed, cap adjusted over his eyes and asleep on a pile of clean hay. In the combined cabin for Unit Greywind sits the LT, ever going over reports, books and the maps of the area. Hurridly writing notes in her large journal.
The waters around the Vexation are a little choppy, rocking the boat slightly as the current pulls the ship towards shore and the wind keeps it going outwards on the lake. The constant pull of nature on full display.
The sky is clear, stars and moons can be seen shining brightly in the sky, with a dancing Ring of Siberys around the planet blanketing the sky.
