Kash moves quickly, maybe too quick for himself and smashes his head into the table

1 HP damage. Subdued, of course. The goblin you were trying to assault does not seem to mind you and keeps on crushing his crystals into smaller and smaller components. You will see that they are smashing them to dust. 

Aria has been watching all this quietly not understanding much of what's going on. When it looks like people are planning to fight, she quietly lays her arrow on the string and gives Kora an inquiring look.

Percival remains focused on Kora as some of the others rush into action. "Your orders, Kora?"

"Hold, Greywind!" Kora orders. "These are pawns, and not in their minds. I don't know what they are doing, but we'll not kill them. Knock them out, and tie them up. There are more mysteries in this place."

OOC > To be clear, let's use non-lethal melee damage to incapacitate them.

Once that is done (unless we are to play it out), she will gather the crew. "Here is what I know..."

OOC > I'll wait until I know we're not doing combat and Kora has a little space to dump some expository knowledge...

Johnuli slithers around Kora, open mouth hissing. It appears he has a broken tooth in this form. 

(I just noticed- A Jaculi looks like a Worm and a Snake had a baby, lol.)
(Also, do I still feel his presence, as a Snake?)

Sylrie nods, takes his bow and an arrow, snaps the tip off the arrow and then fires it at one of the goblins

OOC: Not sure how to do non lethal damage with a flying pointy stick, also not sure I need to roll an attack because they don't seem to be actively defending themselves?

These creatures are no fight for the power of Greywind, they have no abilities other than to make crystal dust from the crystal shards. They put up no fight as you start tying them up and/or knocking them out. For indeed, they are just pawns.

I scoop some dust in to a pouch 

Aria replaces her arrow and slings her bow over her shoulder. She draws her shortswords, using the hilts to knock the goblins out, and also appropriates some dust as well once they have been subdued. Once they're done, she removes Sivi from her bag and lets him sit on her shoulder. She then listens intently to Kora's explanation, face showing nothing more than quiet interest and a faint frown.

Johnuli hisses, As he slithers around the room, tongue darting towards things as he uses his Blindsight to look around the room for anything hidden. His dark eyes slip from side to side, before looking at the dust.

OOC: haha I am pretty sure that would still penetrate and possibly be lethal, I know they have like foam tipped ones in real life used for bow battles, but ya. Anyway.

OOC > D'oh! Kora already had Inspiration. Sigh. Also, I think RAW non-lethal damage can only be done by melee weapons, not ranged or spells, unless you're Green Arrow and have a boxing glove arrow in your quiver. Also...

Kora gathers the team. "I will be quick, as the Hashalaq will have other thralls here. I am kalashtar, you know this. We are... a race, I suppose, bonded with spirits of the dream plane. These spirits found and bonded with my ancestors, and have waged a holding war with the Dreaming Dark since then. They... desire only to be freed from the dream plane, to conquer the rest of existence. We do not speak about it openly, because of the looks you are giving me now, as careful as you may be to hide them. You know me to not be given to flights of fancy, and the LT will confirm some of this, though I do not know how much she knows."

"As to that creature's claims, the kalashtar live in this world, as do you, and our spirits live with us. Ours is a willing partnership, though Shali is carried by many now, my mother, my sister, aunts and nieces. The Dreaming Dark are not part of our world, they live in the plane of dreams, and can come here only if they ride a willing—or unwilling—mortal host. We call these willing hosts the Inspired. She pauses for a breath, and to look around at Greywind.

"I am a soldier of Aundair, true and loyal. My family has served the throne for generations. But I am kalashtar, too, and sworn to defeat the Dreaming Dark. Our goals are the same right now: find out what is going on in these caves, find a way out, and protect Aundair from the threat posed by this Inspired and whatever it has planned with the shards we saw before. After that, as a soldier in the Queen's army, I will look to the LT for my next task."

"Do you have questions?"

Johnothon just looks at Kora, with as toothy a smile as a Johnuli can give. However, the way he looks at her is with a sign of confusion, a side of interest, and a side of disappointment.

(I would change back, but I don’t know if I can still feel his presence as a Johnuli/What I found with my Blindsight (if anything))

Aria listens to Kora's explanation quietly, face quickly turning thoughtful. At the end of it, she nods. "I haven't known you - any of you - very long. But so far, I've also got no reason to doubt you." Some steel enters her eyes. "Besides, that Inspired appears to be ******* with my country. And there's not a chance in Khyber I'm letting that keep happening while we can do something about it. No questions."

"No." Percival responds. "We've trained together and fought together. I have no reason to distrust you."
