"Drake" The orange scaled kobold would reply with a smile as he extends a scared claw for a hangshake. "We going to get some coin? I am always up for adding a few shinnies to my collection" Drake would say with a large toothy smile. Drake is a orange scaled kobold with a set of charcoal colored horns rising from his head. He is wearing worn leather armor consisting of many leather scraps and small pieces of metal that he had managed to salvage and piece together himself. On his belt he has a set of worn rusty short swords and a few small pouches. On his back is a weathered longbow that is nearly as tall as him and battered quiver containing an assortment of arrows. All of his equipment looks well used and appears to be either second hand or pieced together salvage. He has a number of scars on his arms and chest that are mostly hidden by his armor.
"Shall we go?" Gimble says but it's more of an instruction as he rises from his own seat scooping his coin back into his bag. "It was a draw I think," he adds to Drake with a smile before moving away from the door.
Gimble leads the party into the streets along the dockside before turning inward towards the businesses. The first few shops hand over payment quickly without incident but then approaching the open fires at a blacksmith shop full of half-orcs and dwarves the mood is...tense.
"Let's see your negotiation skills," Gimble says to the party. "I'd recommend a spokes person and silent back up," he explains over hammer blows.

"Well Nat, I think this might be your time to shine, my friend. Ret can you to keep him out of trouble while I try and save Gimble from whatever unforeseen dangers are lurking around. Drake, I don't know what your strengths are but I guess you just try and help out where it seems necessary..." Duc quickly whispers out her preferred plan waiting to see if the group will go along with it.

Sounds good, says Nat. I can usually sweet talk my way around folks,he hesitates as he glances over at the dwarves and half-orcs, if that's the right approach. If we're looking to threaten them, then maybe Ret can take over. So, Gimble ol' buddy, what's the history with these guys?
(OOC: I am not sure what our current task is, Are we extorting businesses? Also, I have a +5 to persuasion but if someone else wants to be the spokes person that is totally fine. Drake is pretty rough looking so someone else might be better :D)
"I am best at remaining hidden and approaching enemies from unexpected angles.." The kobold would reply with a wink as Duc asks about his skills. "I am pretty agile and take advantage of my light weight and small size to get to locations others can't" Drake would say with a small flex of his scrawny arm. "I am real good at spotting threats as well... I can take up a spot as lookout if ya wish.."
So here are my best stats.. I am only telling you guys so that if there is a role you think Drake would do pretty well in our crew you can let me know :D
"They've been late on payments and we'll...one of our collection agents got a few bruises and no coin on their last visit. I'm all about diplomacy but we all know it's limits," Gimble adds with a loud sigh.

"Found a replacement for Alici easily enough? Do you keep a stock of potentials in the basement?" Retiog asks Gimble sounding genuine.
The half-orc turns to the kobold and gives the . "Drake. I'm Retiog, formerly of the Red Wolf clan." The reddish-brown skinned barbarian is of typical height and build for his kind. His thick cords of black hair are pulled up into a tail which hangs to his midback. He wears awell-made chain shirt, through which tribal markings can be seen emerging on his arms and around his neck.
Retiog cracks his knuckles. "I can easily threaten without saying a word if that is what is needed."
Nat listens and nods as Gimble speaks. Then the objective here is to send a message as well as get the money. So it's not enough to go in and ask nicely. We need to scare them a bit, right? He looks to Duc to see what her thoughts are.
"I am ready to go when you all are!" Drake would say bouncing quickly from one foot to the other. "Nat here can talk nice while the big half-orc here looks scary.. Duc can back em up as well and I will try to hang back just a bit out of sight, keeping an eye out for threats and jump in if needed!" The kobold would say as he draws one of his rusty shortswords form his belt and moves his scaled claw along the rusty jagged edge.

Nat takes a closer look at where they are going. How many people are at the blacksmith's? Are they working, coming and going, or just standing around? What's the surrounding area like - is it a busy street? Are there neighbours looking on? Any guards in sight? Perception8

(Is it sunny outside? are we outside?)
Drake would scamper behind whatever cover he could see while taking a close look at the shop as well, holding his hands over his eyes to help shield him from the sunlight... Perception! 20 (if we are in direct sunlight, rolling disadvantage .. ignore this if we are not in direct sunlight 25)
Nat doesn't really see anyone looking on. Tne forheis hot stifling really and the heat is distracting. There doesn't seem to be any customers in the forge either.
Behind a large barrel Drake observes four dwarves bustling about with one on an anvil hammering out a sword. There are three half-orc and two are working one pumping a floo stoking a fire while another is quenching a spear head.

"I count three dwarves and two half-orc inside" Drake would whisper to his new partners. "I'll hang back here and keep an eye on things.. unless you want me in there a little closer" The kobold would say with a grin, revealing a few broken teeth.
Okay, Gimble says Nat. How much do they owe? Oh, and Duc? If I'm doing the talking, then I'm gonna need that cloak. Sorry if that's bending the rules, boss, but they need to know who we represent.
To Drake he says, I think we need you all close, but let's start with just me and Ret, see how it goes.
"You have to earn the cloak partner. They know who we are," Gimble gestures at the men and woman who've stopped working and are now looking curiously at the party blocking the entrance and exit to the forge.

Nat scowls in frustration at Gimble's response. Fine. He walks into the blacksmith's with Retiog (hopefully) following behind. Good day, my friends. We've business with the owner;he gives his best winning smile, that would be....he closely watches the eyes of those in the shop, expecting that many will glance automatically at the owner, whoever that is. (That could be perception or insight I suppose? 2 +4 for Perception, +2 for insight)

Drake would nod to Nat and slide in through the door behind him, trying to slowly circle around the group... sticking to the walls and keeping his hands on his rusty blades. The small kobold would attempt to duck behind barrels and equipment in the hopes of remaining unseen.

Retiog follows closely behind Nat. He slowly paces through the shop, sizing up the workers.
