Kestrell looks up from his pancakes.  "Crazy like a fox, baby!"

Elon smiles at Selinae's comment,

"Not sure but we should proceed with caution either way"

Bason just looks at all of you and shakes his head. "Are ye all mad? Vassa I know be crazy, charging in by himself. But he warned that the place be crawling with Xanathar and Zhents. One of ye died just yesterday! And ye don't even question if ye should run back into the middle of it? For what? To find gold that someone stole from the city years ago? The city has more, she's no hurting. And what are ye gonna do with it when ye get it? You think the city will let you keep it? You think these same Xanathar and Manshoon and Gralhund and whoever else won't just chase you for it?" Bason takes a deep breath and then a deeper drink from the mug next to him. He then gives you all a searching look, "It no be my place to try and tell you what ye can and can no do. But as ye friend, answer me this please. Why are ye doing it? Why does it matter?"

Selinae looked at Bason gently, " The gold is more Phaedras thing....I think she wants to use it for charity work...or something.  Which I fully support.  But there seems to be politics involved..which I really don't care about."

" Me? I want that drow, no elf or half-elf is safe on the streets while he's still alive.  I'm not risking him roaming free where he can do harm to innocents.....and if I'm being honest....that includes my mum."

" I've fought him twice and lost twice....the last one fairly severly, yes.....but I can't stop.  We can't stop."

OOC: why does every dwarf have an Irish accent?

"Bason, I'm not looking to get rich or anything like that. I want to stop the gang fights in the streets and if Mansoon gets it then it will be all out war. Beyond that, if we that damn drow goes down too then all the better"

"I am still here for the same reason i came here. I was sent to help bring an end to violence in this city, that many see as an example of the highest along the Sword Coast. But since I have been here, I have learnt much. That not all enemies are enemies" her eyes rest on Elon as she says this "and that this city is in a worst spot that even the Harpers anticipated with devil worshipers among it's elite and murders roaming the streets with none to stop them. I, the Harpers, and Our Lady of Spells will not stand for such so it is my duty to do what I can to bring a better dawn to this city. And if I am anything, I would say I am stubborn."

OCC: Dwarves have Scottish, not Irish accents ;)

"We won't stop!  Got to get rid of this killer drow and the Greyhounds.  Not to mention, if we do secure the gold, think of all the pastries we can buy!"

"Should we get going and track down Elon's crazy girlfriend?"

Elon gives a glaring look first to Phaedra then to Kest.

Kestrell looks surprised.  "What?  Nothing wrong with the crazy ones.  They are even preferred in some places.  Or so I've been told..." and he nudges Elon with his elbow and gives him a wink.

Elon actually has a girlfriend...it bet she would be crazy... Phaedra thinks to herself.

"So what are we doing? What's the plan?" Elon waves his arms around changing the subject before his face turns red.

Selinae propelled Elon toward the door...though there was less strength in her arms than normal.

" Lead on, Loverboy."

Kestrell follows Elon out the door, holding it for everyone else. 

Making sure she has all her gear, Phaedra follows.

Silver just wiggles out of Selinae's grasp "Good to see ya." he says as he begins to munch on an apple. He just leans on the counter as everyone converses and gives their reasons. He just bites into an apple as he looks at Bason "Until Waterdeep is safe for people and every worthless bastard Zhent who burns this city or manipulates its people is dead Bason..." he just takes a sip understanding the ire to come "or I'm dead, which ever comes first." he just pats the swords on his side and nods "Plus, can't let Vassa have all the fun."

Bason nods his head as you all explain your reasons for continuing. Afterwards he sighs before saying, "I understand. You all make good points, except Silver who's worshipped at the church of Xanathar so long he can't see Zhents as people any more. Anyway, I wish you luck. See if you can find Vassa while you're out there."

You all head out and start walking south. A little over an hour later you approach Mistshore. There's not many folks out but the ones that are look pretty rough, this is clearly not the nice part of town. The area reeks of fish and scorched timber. Most of the buildings you see are burned-out shells with sails or scrap wood from old ships used for roofs. The worst locations appear to be occupied by homeless children. Fishing poles and nets line the waterfront.

Selinae kept an eye out as she moved, she wasn't feeling 100% just yet but she'd spent a bit of time in Mistshore....mostly not by choice but retrieving drunken crewmates.

Silver just takes a bite of his apple "Not that mate. Got personal reasons for not like the Zhents that go back to before my Xanathar days." with that he just heads out the door looking around as Selinae leads the way hoping to not see anyone suspicious following them, or looking out for them. He just stands tall as he walks through looking around at the truth of Waterdeep that many liked to forget.

As Phaedra walks through the area she looks around for someone that seem approachable. When she does she walks over and ask "We are looking for Grinda Garloth, do you know where she lives?"

Phaedra approaches an older gnomish child for advice. The child looks up at her, seemingly confused at why she was speaking to him. Slowly he repeats, "Grinda Garloth?" Then his eyes clear in recognition, "Mad Grinda. She lives aft of the Kraken’s Folly, on a pier."
