Dog will defer and stay back down the access road a bit, and remind Tock and Martin they have a sending stone they can use to talk to Dog. He is ready to use the boots of flying to approach down the road quietly - he doesn’t want to be far away in case this goes wrong.

Bulwark will position himself outside Nev and Genny's room, keeping watch incase anyone tries to go in, and listening into the room in case anything out of sorts happens inside.

Martin and Tock sneak to the end of the drive, staying in cover. Dog and Althus hang back but ready to charge forward if things turn sour. Bulwark and Gash stand guard at the inn. All are on high alert. They all agree that trouble is close...
Martin moves his mouth right against Tock’s ear. “This spells trouble for certain. Let’s let them pass us, we’ll smash them between us and the others. Have you got anything ready to help snatch one of ‘em?”
Martin then sends to Dog. “They’re coming to you. We’ll be right behind them.“
Martin casts spike growth about halfway down the path.
Dog rumbles a whisper to Althus that their guests are incoming, Martin and Tock right behind them. “Let’s set a trap.”
He also replies to Martin an acknowledgement and that they will be ready and set a trap to see if they are hostile.
He casts silent image and a spitting image of Dog (and Nev and Genny if the DM allows - can’t tell if it’s just one object or simply any visual qualia in a 15 feet radius) manifests 50 feet down the road, off a tiny bit to the side. Mirror Dog is leaning against a tree, looking down the path curiously. If Mirror Nev and Genny are there, they are behind him, Genny in Nev’s arms, rocking her to calmness.
He looks to Althus and indicates a decent hiding place or two nearby. “They might be curious, annoying, friendly, or deadly. We can test that out with this, if we hide, which isn’t our strong suits but it’s worth a shot?”
Real Dog kicks off with the boots of flying and goes up 20 feet and ahead to a spot a bit into a tree over the path with a decent route to fly down for melee combat when he wants. He pulls out the eversmoking bottle and nestles it in a nearby crook of tree branches. He also draws the wand of magic missiles and has it at the ready. He draws the javelin of lightning and holds it in his shield hand.
If he sees whoever it is try to attack the illusions or approach with claws or weapons threatening, he is readying himself to let loose with the wand with 6 charges and also hurl the javelin of lightning in a way to get more than one in a line.

(Just one object.)
Here is the battle-map in progress. You can position yourself as needed before whoever they are arrive. F = illusion of Dog (under the tree). Dog is up in the tree. T is for Tock because his color blends in with the grass.
Tockwhispers back to Martin, "I have an idea. Give me a minute. I'll go get Dravik."
(I apologize to everyone if this goes horribly wrong)
Tockmoves a bit away and casts disguise self to look as much as possible like Bael.
Then walks quietly closer to the group of six (staying like 40 feet back) and mimicking the voice of Bael, says "Dravik, a word before you go in." Then turns around and walks back some 30 feet and waits for him there.
(i'll describe the rest of the plan if/when this part works)
One more wrinkle for Tock's plan: Bael is over 10 feet tall and Tock can only make himself appear to be...about 6 feet tall. There is no height on Tock's character sheet but kenku are usually around 5 feet tall. I mention these issues because Tock would know about them, of course.
That positioning is good for Real Dog, unless the archway is really thick and he could hide behind the top of the arch with the boots of flying.
Side note: Does the mold earth create a noise when it's used to create difficult terrain? If it's quiet, Dog will start doing that 30 feet ahead to try to channel the incoming folks into the spikes if he can. If there's a chance it'll be heard, he'll hold off.

It doesn't say one way or the other, so in my mind that means you can try to do it with a stealth check.

Tock:
"Who the **** is that?" says one of the men as the sound of blades being drawn resounds through the night.
"I don't know," says Dvarik.
"He knows your name."
"Change of plans," Dvarik says.
No other words are spoken as the men and women form into three pairs. Two of them approach Tock but stop 60 feet from him. "Do I know you...friend?"

Tock and Martin:
In the cover of darkness, six figures are congregating at the end of the drive on the Long Road.
"...hitched about a mile up the road."
"Fine. Prepare yourselves. Any last questions before we go in?" Says an authoritative voice in thick Drow accent.
"This feels wrong, Dvarik."
"Yeah, well we already took their money."
"A month and a half ago..."
"Trust me, you don't want to turn on these particular employers."
"What did you get us into, Dvarik?"
"Just do your job and all will be well. Remember: Don't kill the girl. Don't take her. Anyone else is expendable."
"We're not monsters, Dvarik."
"Yeah, we are."
The figures fall silent as they check their gear: Leather sliding against leather. Blades sliding into sheaths. Bottles clinking.

(Since Tock never heard Bael say this, I'm not sure he could mimic it.)
